“We had to leave our Charlee for the weekend to be with our son for his wedding. Knowing that Amy was taking such amazing care of Charlee while we were gone gave us the peace of mind to focus on the wedding! Thank you so much Amy!!! Charlee really does live your visits!!!”

“Today is the first day on our own again and we already miss Courtney. What a gift it was to find her! It was so cute to see her talk to Lucy all the way when walking, to pick her up or redirect her when she was being stubborn-Courtney displayed genuine concern and affection for my Lucy and myself during the four weeks she was employed. She is absolutely the first person I will call if I need help with Lucy again. I have no questioning about courtney’s ability to care for animals or her character. She is such a sweet soul and is welcome to remain our friend forever!! 🐾💕 THANK YOU”

About: I have a flexible schedule! I am willing to work with you to give your dog the best care possible and make life easier for you! Dogs are welcome on furniture for cuddles and comfort. There is plenty of space inside for them to roam AND a patio/backyard area for fresh air. There is also a dog park in the neighborhood for your dog to play with other dogs if you want him/her dog to socialize. Exercising a dog isn’t always important! I have experience training dogs. I have been assisting in training future guide dogs for the past 3 years. I would love to take in your cute pups even if they are not potty trained; I have experience and am willing to help potty train or any other forms of training you would like your pup to continue while you are away. I am also willing to administer any medications your dog needs during his/her stay. I am here to make your life easier and give your dog the best experience possible! I will play, walk, cuddle, and love all fur babies! Dogs of any age (as long as they have some vaccinations), size, and gender are welcome in here!
“Abby is really sweet with my dog, he's scared of everything but he felt comfortable with her very quickly. I appreciate that she takes the time to make sure he's relaxed and comfy after their walks.”

“Nerissa was great! I had something pop up along the way, and she was super accommodating. She also sent me great picture of my pup. He looked like he was having a blast with her!”

About: I have great experience with all dog sizes, but medium to small is the best for me. I have taken care of elderly dogs before, and I have a small elderly pomeranian at home, so i realize they require gentle care and attention. I have a dog park outside of my apartment that is mostly unused. It is perfect for giving your dog a potty/play break. The street i live on is slow with light traffic. I am able to care for pets 24/7. I am a part time student, mostly on line, so I am at home most of the day. I work in my bedroom or living room, and I have no trouble doing work on my computer with your pet. My apartment is not on a street, just a parking lot. There is a large yard and doggy play pen outside my home. I live with a Vet student, and I am better able to care for animals with her help. I have one roommate, and my apartment is very quiet and large. I am home all day, and i enjoy quiet studying while siting next to your pet. I get bored easily so I go for walks 4-5x a day, which I would love to do together with your pet! I have a lot of patience for animals since I grew up with them, but i prefer low-energy and calm animals because I get overwhelmed easily.
“Elle was outstanding, from the first meeting I had with her to her interaction with my dog and her correspondence with me during her visit. I will definitely use her services again in the future.”

“David did a great job (confidently) walking my large dog with a prey drive. He went above an beyond by sending picture updates, taking extra time to walk her in a park, and refilled her treat toy after the walk. I already rebooked another walk and plan on booking more.”

“Great walk as always! She was conscientious of the stormy weather today and was able to change the time of the walk so our Sadie still got a walk and play time in. Always happy to have Danica take care of our Sadie :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gainesville
I can’t recommend her enough! She has amazing communication and always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind. She goes above and beyond—she’s cleaned up my dog’s accidents without hesitation and even takes my dog out longer than requested just to make sure they were happy and well cared for. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and that means everything to me. Highly recommend! 🐾

They were absolutely amazing. My senior dog got exactly what he needed and she was so great to my foster. I was really worried about leaving him because he doesn't know basic commands and she was so patient and gentle with him it was amazing. Really appreciated her communication and how much she loved my babies
If you think Aniya is too much money then you don’t love your dog. You get what you pay for. Aniya will go above and beyond and sends detailed reports every time she is with them. If you want to save money with another sitter be prepared for them to forget to show up, not clean up after your dogs mess, or fake walk them for 9 miles. Aniya is the real deal. Just book her already. She treats Charlie like her own. Don’t put a price on family. Thank you Aniya for your hard work and your always positive attitude!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
