About: I have had my own dogs and cats my whole life and currently have one dog and one cat. I worked at an animal shelter through high school with all kinds of dogs and cats and am comfortable with pretty much anything they can throw at me. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s ok and sometimes they get scared when new people are around which is totally understandable. I’m very comfortable being patient with any animal who needs a little extra love and understanding. I am currently a full time student and usually my day is pretty open on any day I don’t have class and in between my classes. I have two pets of my own who I get up early to take care of before class and always make sure I’m home to take care of after class. Weekends that I’m not visiting family are usually completely free as well. In a client’s home, the most important thing for any nervous pet will be respecting boundaries. I have a nervous girl dog and girl cat so I totally understand when they are a little hesitant to new people. But if they are sociable and want plenty of love I can absolutely give that too. I am very good at reading their body language and actions to determine what they want or need in the moment and will absolutely respect that their space if they want that.

“Thank you for taking good care of the Do's. Sarah took good care of my cats while I was on vacation, she has passion and is committed to provide good services. She goes above and beyond and is the only one I trust with my furry friends. Highly recommended.”

“Amber is an excellent pet sitter and our go to when we are out of town. She is very kind, a quick communicator, great with our animals, and goes above and beyond. We’re very happy to have found her on Rover!”

About: Hi! I'm a veterinary student with over five years of pet-sitting experience and three years of volunteering with a local humane society caring for shelter animals. Before starting veterinary school, I spent five years as a high school science teacher, which strengthened my patience, communication, and ability to stay calm and dependable in new situations. I currently have two cats and a very senior dog, so I understand firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your pets in someone else's care. I've relied on Rover myself for short trips, extended time away, and daily pet care, so I know how much communication, photo updates, and maintaining your pet's routine can mean. My goal is to provide the same level of care and peace of mind that I look for when someone cares for my own pets. Caring for my senior dog, along with working with shelter animals, has taught me the importance of patience, reading body language, and building trust at each animal's pace. My senior pup believes every walk should involve stopping to sniff every blade of grass and plenty of cuddle breaks afterward, but I also love spending time with energetic dogs who enjoy longer walks, games of fetch, or even a run! Whether your pet is young, old, shy, or full of energy, I will tailor each visit to their individual needs. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, snakes, bearded dragons, and axolotls, and I am comfortable with medication administration when needed. Beginning August 4, I will be starting school. My weekday daytime availability will be limited while I adjust to my academic schedule, but I am available for early morning and evening walks/drop-ins, weekends, holidays, and long-weekend bookings. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I'm an early riser and available for morning visits before my day begins, as well as evening walks, drop-ins, feedings, and quality time with your pets. My weekends are wide open, making me a great option for weekend getaways or longer visits. As a veterinary student, I have a consistent schedule and can provide dependable, routine care throughout the week. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I understand that every pet responds differently when their family is away, so I take time to read their body language, respect their boundaries, and earn their trust at their own pace. During walks, I'm especially attentive to canine body language. My shelter experience taught me to recognize signs of stress and identify potential triggers early so I can keep walks safe and enjoyable. I'm also diligent about doors, gates, and leashes to ensure every pet stays safe and secure.
“Kim is committed to providing the best experience possible for my dog and myself alike. She communicated with me throughout her drop-in visit, sending pictures and updates. I can tell my dog Wynnie feels very comfortable with her and I couldn’t imagine a better experience with a sitter.”

“Lori B was the first time I've used the Rover service. She made my travel worry free by always being in touch and her knowledgeable care of my rather unusual situation with the cats. Excellent.”

“Friederike is amazing! She is always prompt, very responsive with messages, and extremely reliable. She is very sweet with my pup, and always sends great pictures and updates. I couldn’t ask for a better dog walker!”

“Kee was super awesome and attentive when caring for my furbabies :) I 1000% recommend them to everyone! They will send lots of pictures and videos as well :) Even on short notice they were able to take care of my two kitties!!!”

“Haley was extremely helpful for me while I was gone for a few days. She did a great job with my dog, Zoe. Even though Zoe can be a bit reactive and high energy, Haley handled her perfectly!”

“Anne-Katrin was an amazing sitter for us while we were on vacation! She made sure our cats were taken care of, especially as it relates to their prescription diets and instructions, and even swept up the litter box areas without us asking. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Isabel is a wonderful pet sitter! She is prompt, reliable, communicative, and very loving with our two dogs. It’s such a relief to know your fur babies are in good hands when you are out of town. We absolutely recommend Isabel to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve grown up around both cats and dogs, and my love for animals has always been one of the few things I’ve been completely certain about. That passion led me into the veterinary field, where I’ve now worked for the past 3 years caring for animals of all breeds, ages, and personalities. Through my experience in veterinary medicine and boarding facilities, I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at once while still making sure each animal receives individual attention, patience, and compassion. I’m also trained in administering oral medications, injections, and other basic medical care when needed. Working closely with animals every day has taught me how important trust, routine, and gentle handling are for pets while their owners are away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra attention, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re part of my own family. I work weekdays 9am–5pm, but I prioritize pet care before and after work, ensuring pets receive attention, playtime, feeding, medications, and loving care. I’m also available on weekends. In my client’s home, I follow each pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, litter box cleaning, walks or playtime, and administering any medications as instructed. I also make sure to give plenty of attention, affection, and calm companionship so pets feel safe while their owners are away. I keep the home clean, respect all instructions, and provide updates so owners have peace of mind.
“Jessie’s communication is TOP NOTCH! Brobee is my grumpy little grandpa and has major trust issues, but Jessie handled him like it was a piece of cake! I’m so mind-blown haha 😂 If you’re looking for someone who is patient and truly understand how to approach and read a dog’s body language, I would highly recommend Jessie!”
“Em was a life saver! I contacted her last minute to help care for our three fur babies while my partner was away visiting family because my back injury flared right in the middle of his trip. Em came over three times a day, helped me give medicine to our elderly cat, handled the special feeding requirements, gave fresh water and scooped all the pans every visit, swept and vacuumed the litter from around the boxes; all the things! She was so gracious about cleaning up after our elderly cat’s litter box accidents. Above and beyond! I highly recommend Em for any pet needs you might have. I will 100% rebook if I’m in need again. Thank you Em!!”

“Victoria did a great job taking care of our two cats. She reliably texted me whenever questions arose, and the overall communication, as well as the actual sitting went as smooth as can be. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to know their pets in good hand!”

“Paola was excellent with our two kitties! She came a few days early to introduce herself to us and our cats and discuss what all we needed. She also provided us with pictures every day while we were gone, which showed us how comfortable our girls felt with her. We will definitely be using her again ☺️.”

It’s my third time having Rong as my cat sitter, and I really appreciate her! This time was a last-minute request, and she was very understanding and accommodating. She took great care of my cats and kept me updated while I was away. I always feel comfortable knowing they’re in good hands with her. Highly recommend!

Sarah took great care of my 3 kitties while I was away including giving medication to one of my babies. Everyone seemed content and stress free when I returned. I would definitely book with her again and would recommend Sarah to anyone nervous about leaving their medication needing kitties with a sitter. Thank you again Sarah!!

Evelynn was very kind when I met her during our meet and greet, and she did a wonderful job with my dog Zoe who can be quite reactive and a bit nervous at times. She was very communicative with me and followed all of my directions perfectly! Overall, she did an amazing job with both my animals!

Isabell was wonderful! Batman and Skye were grateful for Isabel. She also took great care of my mini horse, Baxter and my two goats Billy and Bobby. She sent me pictures every day which was great! Isabel also found a lost dog while she was at my house and found the owner. She is an animal liver for sure!!
Jillian was wonderful with our 5 kitties! She took the time to earn their trust, especially the shy ones. There were several occasions where she stayed longer to brush, pet, and play with them since we were gone for over a week. Our cats seemed happy and healthy when we returned. We'd definitely have her watch our kitties again and highly recommend her for anyone with multiple cats!

We would hire Owen again. You could tell from the pictures Owen sent us that Eevee really enjoyed his visits. He also did some extra tasks for us like getting our mail, putting chemicals in our pool and watering our plants. He even cleaned out some perishable items in our fridge that I had forgotten to remove before our trip.

Katrin was absolutely wonderful!! She took amazing care of my girl, making sure she was feed and happy while I was away. She was super nice and very professional. We met a couple days before my trip so I and my cat could get to know her and she asked loads of questions to make sure my baby would be getting the best possible care. My little girl seemed to really warm up to her after the 1st visit as well which was so nice to see!! Would definitely recommend and hire again if I ever need!!

It was such a load off our minds to have Lacy check in on our kitties while we were on vacation. She let us know when she would be there and sent lots of pictures and videos of them which was nice when we were missing them! She also helped keeping an eye on things in and around the house. I will definitely use her services again!

Margaret watched my cat for a few days and did a wonderful job. My cat is very nervous around strangers and Margaret helped ease her anxiety and even got her to eat out of her hand (which my cat has never done before with a stranger!). She requires daily medication and specific instructions with her automatic feeder bowl - Margaret went above and beyond and we would love to have her back.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
