“Vanessa is WONDERFUL. She kept our dogs for the weekend at the last minute. She was accommodating and really listened to our instructions and adjusted to our dog’s needs while they were there. The dogs came back home tired and happy (thank you, Vanessa and family).”

“Sage is great! She kept me updated and asked questions to make sure Kane was being taken care of in the best way. Kane enjoyed his time with her and her fur babies! Thank you Sage!”

About: I always had cats growing up and have been a dog sitter for friends/family the past eight years. I’ve had a pup of my own for four years now and can’t imagine my life without her. I treat animals like children and understand how important it is to take care of others’ pets to their standard and beyond! I am a full-time teacher leaving my availability more limited during the school year but I am extremely open during the summer (unless I’m already booked). I do need a bit of notice but am willing to work out a plan at the last minute if possible! House sitting/Drop-Ins: I will always treat your home and belongings with the utmost respect. I’m a firm believer in leaving the home as clean or even cleaner than when I entered it. I will ensure your fur baby’s daily routine is met with careful attention to detail and comfort! Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard and a fur baby of my own to help keep yours company (but let’s do a meet and greet to make sure they get along to ensure their safety)! We love going on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, hanging out inside in the AC during the hotter months, and cuddling on the couch. Sally is my only dog (Beatles is my sister’s and stays with Sally during our joint vacations). Sally is crate trained for anxiety while alone, so as a safety measure, you are required to bring a crate for your dog when boarding. Dogs will only be crated when we aren’t home. My husband will also help out with your fur baby at times, so if you’d like to meet him too, just let me know! :)
“Tatiana and her family were a great fit for Holi. They provided her the lots of love and attention and she had a blast playing with the kids and pups. Tatiana was great with updates throughout the stay and was super responsive to any messages. We will for sure rebook with her in the future.”

“Amazing experience! Communication was outstanding from start to finish. I received frequent updates, photos, and videos, which made being away from my dogs so much easier and gave me complete peace of mind. Each of my two dogs received individualized attention and loving care, and I could tell they were genuinely happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their stay. By the end of their visit, it was obvious that Katie had taken the time to truly learn their unique personalities and preferences, allowing her to better meet their needs for future stays. I highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive dog boarding. Knowing my dogs are in such caring hands is priceless!”

“Joseph took great care of our dog, Poppy. His entire family showed Poppy love & kindness the entire time we were away. I would highly recommend this sitter as your next go to!”

“Paola was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my baby and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with photos and messages, and it was clear my pup was happy, comfortable, and well loved the entire time. When I got home, my dog was relaxed and clearly had a wonderful experience. I would 100% trust Paola again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter. Thank you so much, Paola!”

“Hank boarded several nights/days with Ana, and my experience was great! Ana sent me notes, pics, videos frequently. The facility is also beautiful with lots of room to run around and alot of shade. The staff were also very attentive to my requests. I will be using Ana again next time we need her for daytime play or overnight boarding.”

“My German Shorthair girls are very well taken care of by Reva and family. The girls are very friendly and people oriented,,not kennel boarding material. I appreciate the family kindness in taking care of my puppies when I can’t take them with.”

“Our dogs had a great vacation with Shalom and her family. Murphy and Rufus warmed right up to her and her family, including the Great Danes. She was very quick to respond, flexible with times, and great with specific instructions. Thank you Shalom!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with Rover! Chris was simply amazing. We were a little nervous leaving our three pups for the first time, but after a meet-and-greet the day before drop-off, we felt completely at ease. Throughout their 5-day stay, Chris sent us regular updates and photos, and it was clear our dogs felt totally at home. When we went to pick them up, they didn’t want to leave—they kept following Chris back into the house! It was such a comforting feeling knowing they were so well cared for and happy. Thank you, Chris! We’ll absolutely be reaching out again next time we need a sitter.”

“Our Black Lab is a little skittish around other dogs so when Brooke said she babysits other dogs were we apprehensive.well...our apprehensions vanished when we met Brooke and her own dog! Duke loved her and the huge yard. He stayed there a week while we were on a cruise and almost daily we sent emails and photos back and forth to each other. Duke seemed at home and we feel very confident he had a great time. We will definitely use Brooke again. She is a kind dog loving sitter and it showed!”

“Aly did such a good job with my hyper doodle! She sent me photos and videos on a daily basis so I knew he was happy and having fun. It was quite stressful finding someone I could trust and I am so thankful I found her!!”

About: **ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS** Hello, my name is Jyll!😊 Proud pet parent of cats and a border collie. I have had experience pet sitting for over a decade and would like to offer my services to the GNV community. I’m here to help you with caring for your pets whether you’re getting ready to go enjoy some time off, got caught up at work, or even sometimes don’t want to get out of bed (we’ve all been there). I am a reliable animal lover who would love the opportunity to take care of your fur babies. I offer the following services: - Cat/Dog Drop-in Visits 🐱🐶 - Dog Walking 🐕 - House sitting 🏠 - Boarding (varies based off pet’s temperament due to having my own pets) ~~~~~~~ A LITTLE ABOUT ME I have been surrounded by animals my whole life and have owned BOTH cats & dogs. My experience ranges from raising one-week-old kittens to taking care of senior dogs that need oral medication. I currently have four cats and a border collie who give me meaning (as well as question my sanity!) every day. And, since they live rent-free (the biscuit factory has been closed for the season), I am looking to share my support with you and your lovely pet(s)! I work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule. Please feel free to message me to get started, and I'm excited to meet your fur baby. How can you ensure a great experience for your pet? It all begins with communication! I will actively listen to you explain your pet's routine and ensure to not stray from it. The more details, the better! The biggest stress is YOU being gone; the least I can do is ensure a consistent routine so it is not as impactful on their health. Oh—and LOTS of play time and cuddles!
“Brynn was responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. Gucci and Prada had a great time with Brynn and her housemates, including Kuna! They were very tired and dirty (which is great coz we know that they were playing alot on the backyard :)”
“Maria ia awesome! We were very happy with Bella"s stay. Bella looked awesome when we picked her up and very excited. I recommend Maria to anyone looking for a great sitter. We will be using her in the future”

“Kelsey was excellent! Very kind, great communication, and very accommodating. She is a real pro and took great care of my cat sending me pictures of him throughout his stay. He is not well socialized with the other cats, despite this Kelsey was able to provide him the space and attention to enjoy his stay! I would highly recommend her, you can rest assured your pet is in good hands with Kelsey!”

“This was my first time using the rover app. I needed to take a last minute trip and didn’t think anyone would get back to me on time. Not only was my first time using the app successful but I will definitely be using it again after having such an excellent experience. A special thanks to Carolina and her family for going above and beyond and ensuring that my dog was very well taken care of.”

“Halle was kind enough to take Sushi on a short notice. She was incredibly sweet and allowed Sushi to feel as if she was at home. She communicated promptly and sent regular updates and pictures. She was very accommodating and flexible with drop-off and pick-up hours. Would absolutely book again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
