“We had a fantastic experience with Kat watching our two dogs for four days. She visited three times a day, making sure our dogs were well-fed, had fresh water, and got regular potty breaks. Beyond just the basics, she went above and beyond—taking time to play with them, give them love, and make them feel comfortable and safe, which is no small task with our sensitive pups. She also cleaned up a few messes without hesitation and kept in touch with us during every visit, sending updates, pictures, and texts that gave us peace of mind while we were away. She was always on time and extremely reliable. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals, and our dogs felt that too. We couldn’t be happier with her care and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and loving pet sitter.”

“Julie is the most caring and incredible pet sitter we have ever had. We had an emergency come up with an aging dog and she was not only attentive, alerting us to the issue but went way above and beyond helping to ensure our baby girl received medical treatment. I can’t say enough about Julie, we love her our dogs love her, and she is an amazing person on top of being the best pet sitter ever!”

“Lori has had a few drop-in visits with my 4-month-old, Poodle puppy, Rosie. She started at a time when Rosie was in a fear stage, afraid of everything and everyone, but Lorie was able to get Rosie to warm up and fall in love with her quickly. She has been very friendly and pleasant, responsible, and timely. I strongly recommend Lori!”

“Ariana was fabulous with my dog and had amazing communication throughout. I was worried sick to leave him alone, but I was relieved to know he was in great hands. I would definitely love to rebook Ariana and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“She did a fantastic job taking care of my puppy during the drop in visits. She was attentive, followed all instructions and made sure my puppy was safe and well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend again”

“My outdoor cat is very distrustful of strangers but Sierra actually got to see him when she stopped by to fill up his food bowl. Very appreciative of her care while I was gone and her comments and photos about her visit. Definitely can recommend her if you need someone to care for your pets.”

“Debbie was wonderful with my cat, Salem! She updated me after every drop in and included pictures. She even gave my cat 2 pills a day and spent time playing with her during each visit. Debbie provided me with peace of mind while I was away, allowing me to fully enjoy my vacation. I am so so grateful!”

About: I was 12 when my grandfather passed away, and in an attempt to fill that void, my parents got me my first pet, a Shih Tzu named Toby. Ever since, I’ve looked at pets as family, companions who bring comfort, joy, and unconditional love. Over the past year, I’ve cared for several of my friends’ dogs, spending nights with them, taking them on walks, and, of course, spoiling them with lots of love. It genuinely makes me happy to care for someone’s beloved family member, and I hope you’ll allow me the opportunity to care for yours! I work a full-time job Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM, but my evenings are wide open for pet care. I also have most weekends off, giving me plenty of time to spend with your pet, whether that means going for walks, keeping them company, or giving them lots of love and attention. I live in an apartment complex with a dog park where we can have some fun and play if you’re comfortable with that! If not, we can always take a nice stroll around the neighborhood instead. I’m happy to follow whatever routine makes your pet feel most comfortable.
“Hannah did an awesome job caring for my dog! She has a fun personality, and is a great match for the energy of my dog. Hannah was great with communicating and sharing plenty of pictures. She is reliable and professional. I'll definitely hire her again! Highly recommend!”

About: I have been an avid animal care taker since childhood. Growing up on a farm in Oklahoma, I've seen animals of every shape and size- horses, cats, dogs, you name it! Spending time with animals is my own personal sanctuary. 🌞 Currently available at any time unless otherwise specified. I work as a private duty caregiver and times are not fixed for my schedule. Shoot me a quick message! I have a fenced in backyard! If your animal requires a crate, I can accomodate that as well. I do not mind animals in the bed, as long as they are potty trained! If I am visiting another home to care for an animal, I happily will spend extra time before/after walks and feeding to spend quality time with your animal. I believe bonding with the animals makes for a more pleasant experience!
About: I have been a loving dog owner for 17 years and have experience in obedience and conformation training. I've handled and worked with multiple breeds as well as dog sat for various breeds with differing ages. I've shown dogs for 15 years, both my own and for clients. Getting them prepared for the ring, including grooming, is my responsibility. My handling has taken me all the way to Westminster, the most prestigious of dog shows. I believe my experience in the vast dog community sets me apart and validates my ability to properly care for dogs of any breed or age. My skill set might be able to help you with more than just dog boarding especially if you need help with training, grooming, or handling. If I can answer any other questions to help set your mind at ease regarding my ability please don't hesitate to contact me.
About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Trusting me to come into your home is a big deal, and I would never want to jeopardize your peace of mind.
“Victoria did a great job taking care of our two cats. She reliably texted me whenever questions arose, and the overall communication, as well as the actual sitting went as smooth as can be. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to know their pets in good hand!”

About: I've cared for cats and dogs for years. I came from an animal-loving family, we got our first dog when I was 7, and now at home I have two cats and one dog of my own, so I understand how much routine and a calm, familiar presence matter to pets while their owner is away. I also consistently take care of my brother and sister-in-law's eight cats whenever they're on vacation, so multi-cat households and individual routines are second nature to me. Beyond my own household, I also volunteer with cat rescues. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and treat every cat's home and routine with the same care I give my own. I'm currently working from home, and my work is mostly project based, so I'll have plenty of time to pop in and check on your pets. I offer drop-in visits on weekends and weekdays. I'm happy to work around your pet's usual routine — feeding times, play times, or medication schedules. I can also do multiple visits a day if your pet needs more frequent check-ins. For drop-in visits, I'll come to your home to care for your pet in their own familiar environment. I have experience with dogs and cats, including regular care of my own pets and cat-sitting for family. I'm attentive to safety details like secure doors and gates, and I always follow any specific instructions you leave for feeding, medication, or house rules.
About: I grew up on a farm and still do. I’ve only started dogging sitting/ boarding dogs other than my family’s dogs for a few years now. I’ve noticed that the dogs, I’ve take care of are really comfortable with me, while their owners are away. My goal every time, I’m taking care of new dog is that they feel safe with me. I’m also a part-time nanny right now, my schedule is flexible, so it’s just communicating a day and time that works for both of us! I don’t usually crate dogs, that’s more on the owner’s preference and what their comfortable with. There are 5 other dogs on the property that my family own. They have their own enclosure outside and I don’t allow the dogs I’m taking care of to see or interact with them as I’m trying to keep a safe environment for all animals.
“Dominica really goes the extra mile to care for your dogs. She is a true animal lover and will treat your pet like her own. We have a difficult dog and she handled his bad behavior with patience and compassion I can definitely recommend her.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
