“Kathryn did a wonderful job as usual, and was so gracious about a few accidents and nips, I can tell how much Fuji loves her by how she keeps greeting her at the door :) She's also very responsive, and a great cat photographer too! Will definitely rehire for any future check-ins, thank you Kathryn!”

“Sierra was able to help us out last minute and accommodate our fur babies! She was wonderful and we plan on working with her in the future 😎 I highly recommend to anyone in the Newberry area!”

“Lori was lovely and so communicative (even when I struggled to figure out the text/app overlap)! My dog ate her food during visits, so I can tell she was comfortable with Lori. The pictures and notes were appreciated and it was nice to know that Cali was being so well looked after. We look forward to booking again!”

About: I have been an avid animal care taker since childhood. Growing up on a farm in Oklahoma, I've seen animals of every shape and size- horses, cats, dogs, you name it! Spending time with animals is my own personal sanctuary. 🌞 Currently available at any time unless otherwise specified. I work as a private duty caregiver and times are not fixed for my schedule. Shoot me a quick message! I have a fenced in backyard! If your animal requires a crate, I can accomodate that as well. I do not mind animals in the bed, as long as they are potty trained! If I am visiting another home to care for an animal, I happily will spend extra time before/after walks and feeding to spend quality time with your animal. I believe bonding with the animals makes for a more pleasant experience!
“Julie was absolutely amazing! She took fantastic care of our dogs and horse! Our fur babies met her with wagging tails and were so excited to see her when she arrived. Piper even rolled over for a belly rub which Julie was happy to oblige 😊! She made our travel for work stress free knowing our furry kids were so well taken care of and loved while we were gone. Julie - you are a true gem, thank you!!”

“Ariana was fabulous with my dog and had amazing communication throughout. I was worried sick to leave him alone, but I was relieved to know he was in great hands. I would definitely love to rebook Ariana and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Debbie is an amazing pet sitter! She cares about your animals and is super responsive to any messages! I would highly recommend her and would use her again in the future.”

“Hannah did an awesome job caring for my dog! She has a fun personality, and is a great match for the energy of my dog. Hannah was great with communicating and sharing plenty of pictures. She is reliable and professional. I'll definitely hire her again! Highly recommend!”

“Rachel does a fantastic job with my dog Andy. This weekend she took on the role of taking care of Andy as he recovered from a last minute surgery. He was able to walk with a little of assistance before we left for the weekend and we returned to a dog who only needed help to get up, but can now get around on his own. She did a wonderful job helping him through the rough spots of the weekend with some accidents, building strength back up, and encouraging him. So thankful for Rachel.”

About: I have been a loving dog owner for 17 years and have experience in obedience and conformation training. I've handled and worked with multiple breeds as well as dog sat for various breeds with differing ages. I've shown dogs for 15 years, both my own and for clients. Getting them prepared for the ring, including grooming, is my responsibility. My handling has taken me all the way to Westminster, the most prestigious of dog shows. I believe my experience in the vast dog community sets me apart and validates my ability to properly care for dogs of any breed or age. My skill set might be able to help you with more than just dog boarding especially if you need help with training, grooming, or handling. If I can answer any other questions to help set your mind at ease regarding my ability please don't hesitate to contact me.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15 for family, friends and neighbors. I’ve house sat for family friends as well as dog sat for co-workers. I enjoy all animals and look forward to helping with your animals :) I work full time 8:30-5 Monday through Friday. I can feed and walk dogs before work as well as after work and full availability on weekends. I have a fenced yard and a black lab named Oscar to keep your animal company. I also have two sweet cats that stick to themselves for the most part. I have a dog crate and am able to crate Oscar if necessary.
About: I grew up on a farm and still do. I’ve only started dogging sitting/ boarding dogs other than my family’s dogs for a few years now. I’ve noticed that the dogs, I’ve take care of are really comfortable with me, while their owners are away. My goal every time, I’m taking care of new dog is that they feel safe with me. I’m also a part-time nanny right now, my schedule is flexible, so it’s just communicating a day and time that works for both of us! I don’t usually crate dogs, that’s more on the owner’s preference and what their comfortable with. There are 5 other dogs on the property that my family own. They have their own enclosure outside and I don’t allow the dogs I’m taking care of to see or interact with them as I’m trying to keep a safe environment for all animals.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and cats (small and large, often multiple at once), and animals tend to connect with me easily. For over 10 years I rescued and fostered cats and kittens, and along the way I also cared for a boa, several birds, a hedgehog, and mice. I’m comfortable and genuinely happy caring for all kinds of animals with patience, love, and respect. At home, I have two cats of my own, Juno (4) and Vesta (3). Vesta needs daily eye drops, so I’m well-practiced in medication administration and comfortable with pets who need a little extra care. I offer drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I treat every pet as if they were my own — consistent routines, lots of affection, and close attention to their needs. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands. I’m available full-time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. With years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and other animals, pet care fits easily into my flexible daily routine. At home I have two cats, Juno and Vesta, both comfortable around visiting pets. I’m experienced with medication administration (Vesta gets daily eye drops), dog walking and will keep a calm, clean, attentive environment for every animal in my care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
