About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I currently work part-time Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, which means I have open availability in the mornings, evenings, and full availability on Fridays through Mondays. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
“Out of town to visit family in Nashville, unable to take my pups. Contacted Reva 5 days before and she was available, the pups had stayed for a day with her before and enjoyed the backyard. We are grateful for her kindness and patience and time with our anxious, Velcro German Shorthair pointer pups. Thank you and I highly recommend.”

About: I have been caring for the cats in the blood donor ward at the small animal hospital for three years. In fact they are one of my major jobs. Part of the job is being able to understand body language and moods, so when you are away you can be sure that your four legged child is with someone who will strive to make the separation easier.
“Rachel does a fantastic job with my dog Andy. This weekend she took on the role of taking care of Andy as he recovered from a last minute surgery. He was able to walk with a little of assistance before we left for the weekend and we returned to a dog who only needed help to get up, but can now get around on his own. She did a wonderful job helping him through the rough spots of the weekend with some accidents, building strength back up, and encouraging him. So thankful for Rachel.”

“WOW! Monica is amazing. She was available at the last minute and very willing to watch over a kitty who was not feeling well! I had complete confidence in her upon meeting her and I was not disappointed. My cats loved her and she spoiled them with attention. I would 100% recommend having Monica watch your fur family!”

About: I have been an avid animal care taker since childhood. Growing up on a farm in Oklahoma, I've seen animals of every shape and size- horses, cats, dogs, you name it! Spending time with animals is my own personal sanctuary. 🌞 Currently available at any time unless otherwise specified. I work as a private duty caregiver and times are not fixed for my schedule. Shoot me a quick message! I have a fenced in backyard! If your animal requires a crate, I can accomodate that as well. I do not mind animals in the bed, as long as they are potty trained! If I am visiting another home to care for an animal, I happily will spend extra time before/after walks and feeding to spend quality time with your animal. I believe bonding with the animals makes for a more pleasant experience!
About: I have been a loving dog owner for 17 years and have experience in obedience and conformation training. I've handled and worked with multiple breeds as well as dog sat for various breeds with differing ages. I've shown dogs for 15 years, both my own and for clients. Getting them prepared for the ring, including grooming, is my responsibility. My handling has taken me all the way to Westminster, the most prestigious of dog shows. I believe my experience in the vast dog community sets me apart and validates my ability to properly care for dogs of any breed or age. My skill set might be able to help you with more than just dog boarding especially if you need help with training, grooming, or handling. If I can answer any other questions to help set your mind at ease regarding my ability please don't hesitate to contact me.
About: I grew up on a farm and still do. I’ve only started dogging sitting/ boarding dogs other than my family’s dogs for a few years now. I’ve noticed that the dogs, I’ve take care of are really comfortable with me, while their owners are away. My goal every time, I’m taking care of new dog is that they feel safe with me. I’m also a part-time nanny right now, my schedule is flexible, so it’s just communicating a day and time that works for both of us! I don’t usually crate dogs, that’s more on the owner’s preference and what their comfortable with. There are 5 other dogs on the property that my family own. They have their own enclosure outside and I don’t allow the dogs I’m taking care of to see or interact with them as I’m trying to keep a safe environment for all animals.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Newberry

“Our boy, a five-month old Australian shepherd, loved his visit, made lots of new friends, and can't wait to go back. We had the confidence that he was safe and in good hands. Ana and her helpers were friendly, attentive to our dogs needs, and seem to thoroughly enjoy all their canine visitors.”

About: 🐾 Personalized Pet Care in a Calm Country Setting 🐾 First-time clients receive $20 off their first booking with promo code AMANDF33991 Hi! I'm Amanda, and pet care isn't just something I do—it's been my life's work for over 20 years. My background includes veterinary medicine, pet boarding, shelter and rescue work, pet sitting, and animal care at Walt Disney World's Best Friends Pet Care. I specialize in providing personalized care for senior pets, anxious pets, and those with medical needs who may not thrive in a traditional boarding environment. Your pet will stay in a quiet home setting with individualized attention, comfortable accommodations, and plenty of opportunities to relax, explore, and feel at home while you're away. 🐶 What I Offer • Boarding in a calm home environment • Drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and other pets • Medication administration • Senior pet care • Experience with medical and special-needs pets • Rural property with plenty of space to sniff and explore • Flexible scheduling • Midday potty breaks and regular supervision throughout the day 🐾 A Good Fit For • Senior dogs • Anxious or shy pets • Dogs who prefer a quieter environment • Pets with medical needs • Families looking for individualized care rather than large group boarding I grew up in a family-run Shar-Pei kennel and have spent more than two decades working with animals. My experience includes veterinary medicine, pet boarding, pet sitting, rescue work, shelter management, Disney's Best Friends Pet Care, and PetSmart Pet Hotel. I am comfortable caring for dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, livestock, and pets with significant medical or behavioral needs. To provide individualized care, I intentionally limit the number of boarding guests I accept at one time. However, multi-dog families are welcome; please message for updated availability.
“Our pup got A+ care with Kimberly. She was also very communicative throughout our dog's visit and sent us cute pictures showing how much fun she was having. Highly recommend!!”

“Paola watched my dog for two days while I was at work, and it was a great experience. On the second day I dropped Angel off, she ran to Paola and jumped up with joy, which said everything. Paola was responsive, reliable, and clearly caring. She also sent updates throughout the day, which put my mind at ease and let me know Angel was doing great.”

“Dana is a lovely human being who “gets” dogs and has made her home into a place of comfort and flexibility in response to a dog’s needs. We looked a long time for a caretaker and place that our little Velcro pandemic pup responded to positively and are so happy to have found Dana.”

About: I had dogs all growing up. I’ve helped pet sit for friends where I walked, fed and spent time with their animals and always enjoyed the experience. I’m not working right now so I have full availability and access to my schedule. My time and hours are flexible. I have plenty of time and energy to pet sit. I live in an apartment that is pet friendly and can take as many walks as needed and offer a lot of time spent at home with your pet.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters I’m retired from the USAF and am home 90+% of the day. I run a few errands sometimes and an hour at gym but my personalized, attentive approach to every pet’s unique needs. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic youngsters to senior pets requiring gentle care and medication management. I focus on creating an stress-free, loving environment so pets stay happy and healthy while you’re away. Whether it’s extra playtime, special diets, or senior support, I tailor every visit to your pet’s comfort and routine. Your pet gets extra attention and care when you choose my services. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I prioritize each visit with care, making sure every pet receives consistent attention, love, and companionship. I provide care in both my home and your pet’s home. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, medication, or cuddles, I ensure a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment.
“Brenda and her family provide exactly what I was hoping for. Instead of being home all day by herself, my dog is taken care of by kind dog lovers. She also gets to socialize with another small dog. I can tell my dog enjoys being there. She runs right up to Brenda to greet her when we arrive. And when I pick her up, she is not desperate to leave. Highly recommend.”

“This is Alexander and Josephine’s second time watching Merlin and I am so appreciative of them. They allowed me to drop him off relatively early in the morning, sent plenty of photos and videos throughout the day, and made sure he was fed before I picked him up. Merlin absolutely loves staying with them, as evident by his whining and excitement when we arrived outside their home. Whenever they’re available, they are my #1 choice for watching Merlin.”

“Although Puddin is 7 years old, this was her first time ever of being cared for in someone else’s home. We have always before had a house sitter in our absence. Nina went above and beyond expectations, picking up Puddin at my office once…and keeping her very late twice when I had after-work meetings. Her communication was excellent and Puddin was happy to see her each time. This was a good experience and I am grateful for how flexible and gracious Nina was for what was needed to make Puddin feel secure and my wife and I feel confident in Puddin’s care during a week when my wife needed to be away at a conference. Thank you, Nina!”

“I highly recommend Kimberly for all your pet sitting needs! She made me feel at ease leaving my baby for the first time ever. She sent me lots of pictures and videos while my puppy Luna was in her care :)”

“Maria is FABULOUS with both animals and people. She always goes above and beyond in terms of her care of both my dog, Lou, and I. Maria provides daycare to Lou during the week. Lou enjoys playing (and sunbathing) in Maria's big back yard along with her two sweet standard poodles and also enjoys watching television with her children. The moment Lou met Maria he fell in love with her, and he runs straight to her door and to her the moment we arrive at her home (after being welcomed and inspected by her poodles, of course). I am repeatedly using Maria to care for Lou and will continue to do so as long as she is willing to take us in. I tell her often I am so grateful to have found her.”

“Zakary was a wonderful dog sitter. They communicated before my stay as well as during my stay. They took amazing photos of my dogs. They have a wonderful yard in the front of the house with obstacles for your dogs in a very safe gated area. I would absolutely use them again during my next trip in Gainesville. Oh, and they gave my dogs, home-cooked chicken and rice with my permission.”

About: Calm, attentive care tailored to your pet. ☀️ Summer Safety Advisory ☀️ Due to Florida’s extreme heat and humidity, dogs are at serious risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke in as little as 10–15 minutes of exertion during peak sun hours. Because of this, all walks during late spring through early fall may be shortened or adjusted for safety and replaced with enrichment-based activities, shaded sniff time, or indoor play when appropriate. Your dog’s health and comfort always come first. 🐾 Pet Care Experience I provide thoughtful, enrichment-focused care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual needs, energy level, and comfort. My goal is not just to “get through” a visit, but to make sure your pet feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a background in wildlife sanctuary rehabilitation and have served as an adoptions director, which means I’ve worked hands-on with animals of all temperaments, ages, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications ( just not injections), managing multi-pet households, and supporting shy, anxious, senior, or special-needs pets. My approach to pet care is informed by ongoing education in dog behavior, body language, and force-free, reward-based training. I pay close attention to stress signals, pacing, and environment, and I adjust each visit accordingly. Whether your dog needs structured activity, calm companionship, or space to decompress, I aim to meet them where they are. 🦴 Bonus Enrichment Option I also manage one of Gainesville’s top-rated private Sniffspots, The Zoomie Zone, located in Midtown. This fully private, reservation-only yard is ideal for dogs who benefit from off-leash play without the pressure of public dog parks. Many clients choose to incorporate Sniffspot visits into walks or drop-ins as a way to provide safe zoomies, sniff-based enrichment, or low-distraction decompression time. If you’re interested in adding a Sniffspot visit to your booking, feel free to ask. Returning clients can also receive discount codes for independent bookings. Whether we’re heading out for a structured walk, enjoying shaded sniff time, or keeping things low-key indoors, I focus on providing calm, attentive, and reliable care you can trust. 🗓️ Scheduling and booking process To make sure every booking is safe, smooth, and a good fit, I require a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet for all new clients. This takes place at the location where care will be provided and gives us a chance to review your pet’s routine, home setup, safety needs, and comfort level. **Meet and greet exceptions:** * Cats do not require a meet and greet unless there are medications, behavioral concerns, or a complicated home setup * Puppies under five months may be booked without a meet and greet when appropriate * Returning clients may fast-track future bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested service so we have enough time to coordinate properly. After the initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another visit so I can become familiar with the new layout, entry instructions, and pet-care setup. 🚶♀️ Dog walks and drop-ins I organize dog walks and cat drop-ins into efficient daily routes using flexible arrival windows. This helps reduce unnecessary travel time while still allowing me to provide thoughtful, attentive care during every visit. Dog-care windows: * Standard visits generally take place between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM * Evening visits may be available for dogs who need additional flexibility **Cat-care windows:** * My preferred cat visit window is between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Visits requiring medication or strict timing will be scheduled around those needs whenever possible Dogs are generally prioritized earlier because of restroom needs, but every pet receives the same level of care, attention, and communication. 🐾 Premium boarding Boarding is a high-touch, in-home service for clients who want a fully hands-off experience while their dog is away. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walking, drop-in, or daycare relationship with me. This helps ensure your dog is already comfortable with me, my home, my routine, and my resident pets before an overnight stay. While boarding with me, your dog will: * Live inside my home as part of the household * Be my only boarding guest and receive individualized attention * Receive daily enrichment, engagement, and structured downtime * Enjoy supervised access to my private Sniffspot for play, sniffing, and decompression * Follow a routine tailored to their age, energy level, temperament, and physical needs Enrichment may include: * Frozen meals or food puzzles using West Paw Toppls * Sniff-based games, treat hunts, and low-pressure training activities * Nature walks or hikes at San Felasco when weather permits * Visits to quiet recreational fields when no other animals are present * Indoor play and low-impact enrichment during extreme heat or storms Most dogs return home happy, fulfilled, and very ready for a nap. 🚨 Boarding behavior and safety expectations The safety and comfort of my resident pets are a top priority. Dogs boarding with me must be safe around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. Dogs showing aggression, predatory behavior, severe resource guarding, or repeated unsafe behavior toward resident animals may not be eligible for boarding. If a boarding stay must be ended for safety reasons, care may be converted to drop-in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship whenever possible. 🚗 Premium pick-up and drop-off For added convenience, I offer pet transportation as an optional add-on. I can personally pick up or return your dog along my existing daily route, allowing you to leave your dog comfortably at home without coordinating an in-person handoff. This service is priced accordingly to reflect the additional time, travel, and personalized care involved. ⛔ Important booking policies * One complimentary meet and greet is included for new clients * Additional meetings should be booked as a walk or drop-in to cover time and travel * Every pet receiving care must be listed on the Rover booking * Bookings should be confirmed within 48 hours of the meet and greet or the requested time may be released * House-sitting and drop-in bookings follow a seven-day cancellation policy * Availability is not guaranteed until a booking has been formally confirmed by you. through Rover. If you have questions, a complicated schedule, or a pet with unusual care needs, I am always happy to talk through the details before booking. Care philosophy and communication: In my home, pets and plants are family, and every animal in my care is treated with the same level of respect, attention, and consideration I give my own. I understand that every pet has an individual personality and different needs. Some thrive on companionship, while others prefer play, structure, quiet encouragement, or simply having a calm person nearby. My goal is to be a steady, reassuring presence your pet can rely on while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in their own home or taking them on an enrichment field trip to The Zoomie Zone, I focus on creating a safe, engaging, and low-stress experience that supports both their physical and emotional well-being. During each visit, you’ll receive a detailed Rover Card with notes about meals, potty breaks, mood, activities, and anything noteworthy from our time together. If your pet gives me an especially great photo opportunity, I may also send along a favorite edited image. Unless something genuinely requires your attention, I will not interrupt your vacation, work trip, or conference. My goal is to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. 🚨 Safety and stress policy Safety is always my top priority, both for your pet and for me. If a pet displays aggression, extreme fear, severe anxiety, or behavior that makes a visit unsafe, I will still make every reasonable effort to ensure their essential needs are met, including food, water, medication when safely possible, and potty access. However, I may modify or shorten the visit if continuing would increase stress or create a risk of injury. This is never done as punishment. It is a safety decision intended to prevent escalation and protect everyone involved. Any significant concerns will be clearly documented and communicated to you. 🛏️ Crate or confinement requirement for boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable resting safely in a crate, exercise pen, gated room, or behind another secure household barrier. This is a firm boarding requirement. At night, during meals when separation is needed, and anytime dogs cannot be directly supervised, boarding guests will be safely confined. This gives every animal appropriate space to rest and ensures all pets remain secure while I am sleeping, showering, completing household tasks, or briefly away from home. Crates and gated spaces are always used as calm, neutral resting areas, never as punishment. If your dog normally uses a crate, pen, gated room, or another confinement routine at home, please share the details with me so I can keep their stay as familiar and low-stress as possible. Dogs do not need to love being crated, but they must be able to tolerate safe confinement without panicking, attempting to escape, or injuring themselves. If your dog is not currently comfortable with any form of secure separation, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. In that case, drop-in care in their own home may be a safer and more comfortable alternative. This is non-negotiable.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and cats (small and large, often multiple at once), and animals tend to connect with me easily. For over 10 years I rescued and fostered cats and kittens, and along the way I also cared for a boa, several birds, a hedgehog, and mice. I’m comfortable and genuinely happy caring for all kinds of animals with patience, love, and respect. At home, I have two cats of my own, Juno (4) and Vesta (3). Vesta needs daily eye drops, so I’m well-practiced in medication administration and comfortable with pets who need a little extra care. I offer drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I treat every pet as if they were my own — consistent routines, lots of affection, and close attention to their needs. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands. I’m available full-time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. With years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and other animals, pet care fits easily into my flexible daily routine. At home I have two cats, Juno and Vesta, both comfortable around visiting pets. I’m experienced with medication administration (Vesta gets daily eye drops), dog walking and will keep a calm, clean, attentive environment for every animal in my care.

At this time I cannot offer in-home service. I can offer walks drop-ins and pick up items for you on the way to come take care of your babies

About: I always had cats growing up and have been a dog sitter for friends/family the past eight years. I’ve had a pup of my own for four years now and can’t imagine my life without her. I treat animals like children and understand how important it is to take care of others’ pets to their standard and beyond! I am a full-time teacher leaving my availability more limited during the school year but I am extremely open during the summer (unless I’m already booked). I do need a bit of notice but am willing to work out a plan at the last minute if possible! House sitting/Drop-Ins: I will always treat your home and belongings with the utmost respect. I’m a firm believer in leaving the home as clean or even cleaner than when I entered it. I will ensure your fur baby’s daily routine is met with careful attention to detail and comfort! Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard and a fur baby of my own to help keep yours company (but let’s do a meet and greet to make sure they get along to ensure their safety)! We love going on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, hanging out inside in the AC during the hotter months, and cuddling on the couch. Sally is my only dog (Beatles is my sister’s and stays with Sally during our joint vacations). Sally is crate trained for anxiety while alone, so as a safety measure, you are required to bring a crate for your dog when boarding. Dogs will only be crated when we aren’t home. My husband will also help out with your fur baby at times, so if you’d like to meet him too, just let me know! :)
