“Brenda was amazing with my 6 month lab. She was so accommodating and kept me updated his whole stay. He is very much a big puppy and still learning his manners but she was patient and understanding. You can tell she truly cares. I would definitely recommend Brenda for pet sitting.”

“Very nice and caring person. My buddy had a blast staying with her. Very punctual with the pick up and drop off. Sends pics and updates. Our Falkor was in great hands. We will be using her again.”

“Thank you Anabela for taking care of Bailey. He looked very calm and relaxed when I picked him up from your house. That means he had a good time with you. I appreciate that you took him for a walks he loves to go outside. Thanks for sending me updates and pictures. You are a great pet sitter 👍🏼 See you when I'll bring Bailey next time as we spoke. Thank you again !”

“Cheryl is a true GEM. Our labradoodle was as happy as a pup can be when we picked him up. She gave him excellent care. Her home is large, she has 2 doodles of her own and has regular doggy daycare visitors making her home the fun zone for all dogs. I contacted her about a week before we were scheduled to leave for our 12 day honeymoon, she easily accepted and her pricing is definitely reasonable. She was very inviting when we came to meet and drop off our dog. She didn't mind that our dog had a small ear infection and gave him his ear wash & drops daily. Over all our experience with her has been the best by far. We will definitely be repeat clients and anticipate some doggy daycare visits just to keep our dog busy & play with friends.”
“Could not have been better. Megan took great care of or puppies and provided great communication and photos while we were away. Both dogs were in great spirits when we picked them up and we know they were well cared for. Definitely would use Megan again.”

“Bella and Dolly had a great visit with Deborah and she took care of them like her own. They were scared with the rainy weather and she tried to comfort them. I'm very happy I found Deborah and I trust her care for my babies when I travel. She's my go to for pet care in the future.”

“Kristen and her husband were amazing with Ebbie! She had great communication and sent pictures everyday. We could really enjoy our vacation knowing she was so well taken care of. They treated Ebbie like their own. Kristen would definitely be my first choice when we vacation in the Orlando/Daytona area again!”

“Daymee was quick to respond when I needed my dog to be picked up from a boarding facility due to him not doing well there. She updated me regularly with pictures and videos and even gave him a bath! High recommend!”

“Allyne was an amazing dog sitter! She accepted the booking last minute (literally within 20 minutes of me needing a last minute sitter). She sent me photos throughout the stay. And her dog Kip quickly became friends with my crew. Would highly recommend her and use her services again when I’m in the area.”

“Gosh, I don't know where to start. First off, I had a trip come up unexpectedly and Deborah responded to my booking request right away and was able to do a meet n greet with my dogs the same evening. I felt confident they would be in good hands while I was away for a week. Deborah sent me updates and multiple photos every day of my babies. They had so much fun staying with her and Morty. She treated them as her own and I really appreciated that. Deborah bathed my dogs before pick up and washed their beds and toys. I'm so happy I found her in Palm Coast and highly recommend her services. Thank you for taking such good care of my babies!”

About: Well, I am highly experienced. I've been involved with animals since the age of seven years old. I've been around everything from fish to cats to dogs to birds to farm animals to livestock. I love bonding with animals gives you such joy. I've had sitters before and I've had good experiences in bad experiences. I would hope that you would trust that if I'm watching your dog in your home that your home will be taken care of as well as your animal. I am able to provide CPR I am quick thinking I do come with a medical background. I have reliable transportation and I myself I'm very reliable. Currently, I work four days a week so I have plenty of time and I'm trying to use this opportunity to become full-time as an animal/pet caretaker I'm just an animal lover. What can I say? If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I will definitely let the dog out if they need to go out in the yard if they need a walk, I would include a walk make sure they get their daily meals daily vitamins, daily supplements if they get dirty and it's OK to give them a bath, I would give them a bath. I would also maintain your home. Keep it nice and tidy so that when you arrived, you didn't have all that drama of having to clean up after.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
