About: I've grown up caring for family pets like dogs, fish, turtles, hamsters, and frogs. I've always enjoyed taking care of family and friends pet's while their away, including: cats, geckos, and horses. There's never been a time in my life where I didn't have at least two pets. I have four years experience working in the pet care industry. I started at a general practice veterinary clinic assisting with general veterinary procedures as well as caring for pets who were boarding at the facility. I also worked temporarily at an emergency veterinary clinic, monitoring patients and assisting with major procedures. I also worked at a boarding facility for cats and dogs for two years, caring for overnight guests and facilitating playtimes with different groups of dogs, including being a lifeguard to dogs in the doggy pool. I have a very attentive eye for any physical or emotional stressors that your pet may be going through from all this experience with pet care. Please contact me with any questions you may have, I'd be pleased to work with you! I work from home part time, so I have lots of time to spoil your babies! I am very flexible with location, pick up and drop off, and extra dog adventures including sniffspots, dog beach, pet friendly stores and restaurants, and other adventures tailored to you and your dog. I'm a huge believer of giving pets the physical and emotional enrichment they need. Every pet needs the quality attention and physical exercise they need everyday! I would love to be that person for you. DOGS: I enjoy exploring outdoors and would be thrilled to take your pet on an exploratory stroll around the neighborhood or in a local park! I grew up with beagles, so I understand the importance of just letting the pup sniff, it's good for their brain! I'm also thrilled to give your baby a fast-paced walk or long-distance walk if they have that extra energy! I'm pleased to cater to any of your dog's specific dietary, exercise, training, or play routines. I will always keep you updated as you please! CATS: No matter how your baby feels about a stranger in their home, I'm determined to make them as comfortable as possible while I'm there! I love giving kitties the extra TLC they deserve, weather that's engaging in their favorite toys, or giving them as many of their favorite treats that I'm allowed! I'm always happy to administer any medications and adhere to feeding, grooming, cleaning, etc. schedules.
“Such an amazing sitter. Kimberly was a wonderful host, she made my trip stress free and easy. Traveling from out of town Kimberly was available for a last minute booking and very flexible. I did not have to travel with a kennel, bed, bowls or even food. Kimberly had everything covered which for most travelers is very convenient. Kimberly had remarkable response time and she provided detailed updates. If I’m ever in the area I will definitely rebook with Kimberly. Thank you for treating my fur-baby as if he was your own.”

“Jennifer was absolutely wonderful with Comet while I was out of town! She did a great job communicating both before and during his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. Comet seemed so happy and well cared for the entire time. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! Thank you Jennifer! 🐶🐾”

“Kai definitely enjoyed his stay with Bonnie & Chris, and their other fur babies. He got plenty of exercise, made some new friends and got to go on an outing while he was there. It was great to receive all the pictures throughout his stay. Thanks you guys. I hope we can call on you again next time!”

About: I will accommodate any special needs, anxiety etc. I am a crazy dog lady who adores her dogs and all others. I have 4 small ones at home, aging from puppy to 16 years old. I have a big yard where they run and chase birds near the river. All dogs will be treated like my own and loved and cuddled They are all fur babies in my eyes ❤️ They will sleep with me If preferred or crated if that’s what they prefer also. I’m retired and home all day so potty breaks are consistent along with walks and playtime. I will accommodate special needs and give medicine as needed and update owners with pictures and phone calls if required. I’m looking forward to taking care of your babies.
“Deborah was wonderful! She picked up my request for booking at the last minute when we were in a crunch. She sent pictures and kept me updated on how our pup was doing. It was the first time we had left her with someone she doesn’t know, and she seemed very happy and had a great time playing with her dog and kids!”

About: Excited to be on Rover, brand new to this app, although my family has been pet sitting for years. We moved to this area a year ago. I grew up on a farm in Western Massachusetts and my dad was a vet, so we had plenty of animals around! It was a blast and gave me a strong passion of caring for animals at a young age. I helped my dad out with his veterinary office in high school, until moving to Florida. I’ve also been a shelter worker and veterinary technician and my family and I have fostered and rescued countless dogs and cats! I am kind of crazy animal dude. My teenage daughter shares my love for animals as well and loves helping out. I don’t board more than two dogs a night because I have my own, unless they are from the same family. Then we will board up to four. Please only dog friendly dogs. Because my home has a dog door, I ask for no escape artists and/or dogs with severe separation anxiety. The privacy fence is 8”, but dogs will have access to both indoors and outdoors having the doggy door, as long as they aren’t too chubby to fit, which sometimes happens! I used to be a tree climber. Unfortunately, I fell off a roof a few years ago and broke both of my feet. Thankfully I’m able to walk and be active again so I still do tree jobs part time, but I’m home more often than not, so decided to turn my love for animals into something. My daughter turns 15 next month and shares our passion for animals. Between myself, my wife, and our daughter, someone is almost always home. We are total animal people and all educated in animal behavior. I have a fully fenced yard and a playful pup who is still respectful to lower energy/smaller/senior dogs. I have a dog door, dogs are allowed on the furniture. They are very spoiled here!
“Shelby watched my sweet Frenchie(Lola) for a week while we were out of the country. Shelby sent several updates with photos. It was comforting to know Lola was well loved and cared for while we were away. I will definitely rebook with Shelby in the future.”

Abbie is wonderful. We had an emergency situation and Abbie was able to help us out with very little notice. She replied immediately to our reservation request and was always quick to respond to any of our questions. She is a true cat lover and our cat loved her. The video the sent us of Surge confirms this. We would definitely use her again. Your cat will be in good hands with Abbie!
Had an amazing experience with Mikayla and her home. She was incredibly sweet, warm, and welcoming. By the second day, Morse didn’t even mind being dropped off—that’s when I knew he was in great hands. I’ll definitely be keeping Mikayla’s contact for the next time I’m back in Daytona!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
