“Olivia provided good communication during the initial discussions and throughout the stay. Scheduling the meet-n-greet, drop off, and pickup was easy. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her.”

“Janell is truly an angel and absolutely amazing with pets. She cared for my two pups, including a very senior dog who needed special attention. Janell took the time to meet with us beforehand to be sure it was a good fit, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout our time away, she went above and beyond with thoughtful daily updates and extra care, even noticing and tending to a sore when she realized my senior pup needed it. When we got home, my dogs barely seemed excited to see us, and it was clear how much they missed their routine with Janell! I am incredibly thankful we chose her, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough.”

About: I have had 2 dogs and a cat for the past 13 years and they are an extension of my family. Since college I’ve cared for my friend’s animals while they’ve gone on vacation or out of town. I’ve dropped into their home every few hours and have hosted them at my place. While caring for your animals, their physical safety is a top priority. Whether it be while they’re interacting with other animals at the dog park, or we bump into another pup while on a walk, I will always make sure they are well and no harm comes their way. I’m currently working part time so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your furry babies. Taking a long walk outdoors is a part of my daily routine. I love to care for animal’s needs from walking them, feeding them, petting them, or giving animals time to interact with other animals at a local park.
“Bonnie and her family take great care of my dog on my trip. She regularly updated with photos and accomodated for the needs of my dog. I definitely bring Max back on my next visit.”
“Karla and Victor were so great with my goldendoodle Ace! They took such amazing care of him while I was away on a cruise. It gave me peace of mind knowing he was in loving and responsible hands. They kept me updated with photos/messages and treated him like he was part of their own family. I would absolutely trust them with Ace again and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring to watch your pet. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my boy!🐾”

About: I've grown up caring for family pets like dogs, fish, turtles, hamsters, and frogs. I've always enjoyed taking care of family and friends pet's while their away, including: cats, geckos, and horses. There's never been a time in my life where I didn't have at least two pets. I have four years experience working in the pet care industry. I started at a general practice veterinary clinic assisting with general veterinary procedures as well as caring for pets who were boarding at the facility. I also worked temporarily at an emergency veterinary clinic, monitoring patients and assisting with major procedures. I also worked at a boarding facility for cats and dogs for two years, caring for overnight guests and facilitating playtimes with different groups of dogs, including being a lifeguard to dogs in the doggy pool. I have a very attentive eye for any physical or emotional stressors that your pet may be going through from all this experience with pet care. Please contact me with any questions you may have, I'd be pleased to work with you! I work from home part time, so I have lots of time to spoil your babies! I am very flexible with location, pick up and drop off, and extra dog adventures including sniffspots, dog beach, pet friendly stores and restaurants, and other adventures tailored to you and your dog. I'm a huge believer of giving pets the physical and emotional enrichment they need. Every pet needs the quality attention and physical exercise they need everyday! I would love to be that person for you. DOGS: I enjoy exploring outdoors and would be thrilled to take your pet on an exploratory stroll around the neighborhood or in a local park! I grew up with beagles, so I understand the importance of just letting the pup sniff, it's good for their brain! I'm also thrilled to give your baby a fast-paced walk or long-distance walk if they have that extra energy! I'm pleased to cater to any of your dog's specific dietary, exercise, training, or play routines. I will always keep you updated as you please! CATS: No matter how your baby feels about a stranger in their home, I'm determined to make them as comfortable as possible while I'm there! I love giving kitties the extra TLC they deserve, weather that's engaging in their favorite toys, or giving them as many of their favorite treats that I'm allowed! I'm always happy to administer any medications and adhere to feeding, grooming, cleaning, etc. schedules.
“Austin and his family were absolutely wonderful with Baxter! They took amazing care of him, and the children were so incredibly kind, they even built Baxter a fort to keep him comfortable and safe during the stormy days. I loved getting regular updates and photos, and it was clear Baxter thoroughly enjoyed his stay.”

“Victoria is amazing with my dog. And my dog adores her! Last time Victoria watched my dog, my dog got so excited just to see her house. She loves staying there and Victoria provides excellent care. Highly recommend!”

“Emily and Her Partner was amazing with our baby Doja They sent us pictures and videos and she was well taken care and when she Had friends to play with I WILL DEFINITELY book them again”

“Emily is so awesome! She cares so much for your Pets and does whatever necessary to make them comfortable while at your house. My little old man requires extra attention and she took care of him fabulously. We just couldn’t be more thankful for Emily!”

“We are new to the area and needed a sitter for a week that we were out of town and a neighbor recommended Kimberly. She was absolutely fabulous! Cooper is pretty easy going, but he's only had one sitter in the 4 years that we've had him, so it made me nervous to be so far away. Kimberly sent me regular messages and pictures, and it really put me at ease. She was engaging and took him on regular outings. I would be very comfortable using her each time we travel.”

“Luisa and William were the perfect caretakers for our senior dog! They were responsive with his needs as well as patient. It was great to have been able to communicate with them while out of the country but I knew Buddy was in great hands! We would definitely be using their services again.”

“My dog jumps out of the car when we pull in to Cheryl’s. So nice to be able to drive away knowing he is happy to be there. Piece of mind for me is the best feeling. Thank you Cheryl for giving my dog the care & security he needs.”
“Thank you for caring for our pups last minute .I appreciate the videos and the updates. We will see you again in July and through the year. Our favorite dog sitter.💙💛🩵”

“Kataryna was amazing with my cats! I'm so grateful she was able to watch them last minute when some unexpected plans came up. I will definitely be booking with her again”

“Helen Marie was great with Chewie. After having a successful meet and greet, Chewie loved staying with Helen Marie. She sent us pictures, daily, cared for Chewie as he was her own, and most importantly Chewie felt at home. He played with Belle’s dog toys and lounged around as if he was at home. Thank Helen Marie for your kindness with Chewie you are truly appreciated. We will definitely be back.”

“My 2 Westies loved Barbara and her family. Every time she sent pictures they looked happy in the back yard or just chillin on the couch next to her. Thank you for giving them lots of love while we were gone”

Our dog Max was very happy at Madelyn's place. Madelyn was very accommodating to help us pick Max up for short "day-trips" while we were on vacation (at a place that didn't allow pets). This arrangement let us have the best of both worlds! We would recommend her without reservation.

Austin and his family were absolutely wonderful with Baxter! They took amazing care of him, and the children were so incredibly kind, they even built Baxter a fort to keep him comfortable and safe during the stormy days. I loved getting regular updates and photos, and it was clear Baxter thoroughly enjoyed his stay.

We left our small Chihuahua with Robin and could not have been more pleased with her stay there. Robin was attentive and communicative the entire time and our small dog felt right at home there. Robin gave us frequent updates on how the stay was going, and cared for our dog in every way that we asked. I would definitely book Robin again to watch our little dog!
I’d like to mention that ( I ) asked Allyne to cancel for personal reasons on 6/17.. she did NOT cancel on me. However, it ended up working out to where I was able to get my pups over to her 6/18-6/21. Allyne was super nice, accommodating, and she communicated very well throughout our trip! Her pup and mine got along very well. All of the dogs looked so happy and comfortable. She and her very helpful partner spoiled them, took them for walks, fed them on schedule, and was very patient with our 4mo pup Khloe. If you’re considering her just go ahead and book 10/10. She’s friendly, reliable, and you can tell she enjoys what she does :)

Ashley is a Sweetheart! She was so good to our Rosie, she even let her sleep in bed with her! Rosie had a fun and relaxing time with Ashley's pups, Tipsy and Bandit. We had never left Rosie anywhere before, but I am happy to say it has been a very positive experience. Ashley's truly treated out Rosie like family.

Kim provided a perfect home away from home experience for my 2 pups. I can tell that they were well taken care of by their behavior after pickup; they were at ease, happy, and rested. Kim sent many pics which took all my worries away during our trip. She quickly responded during our interaction before and during this pet stay. I highly recommend and will definitely book with her again.

This was our first time using Rober and we hit the jackpot with Madison! We needed a sitter for our chihuahua while we were out of town for 7 days. Our dog doesn’t love being around children or other pets so it was really nice that it was just Madison and her boyfriend. They took such great care of our pup that I think she thought she was on vacation too! Madison had great communication and sent me updates and photos every day. Would definitely rebook!

Jae was excellent!!! She sent photos and videos of ms lulu throughout the day. When first interviewed she came to the house, and only after a few minutes we knew she was the one. She is family now!!!!!! Will keep using her if her schedule allows. Very freindly and out going answered every question we had, because this was the first time we used rover. Again Jae is the best and we love her. Again she is great with our dog and became a member of our family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
