Beachside Dog Retreat: WFH Sitter

I have been a dedicated pet caregiver for over 20 years, managing everything from the boundless energy of 8-week-old puppies to the delicate needs of senior dogs. My experience is diverse: I am equally comfortable handling 100lb+ giant breeds as I am with fragile toy breeds. Because I live in a pet-free home, I specialize in providing a low-stress environment for dogs that may be reactive, nervous around other animals, or simply used to being the "only child." My experience isn't just about playtime; it’s about observational care—knowing when a dog is slightly "off" and adjusting their environment to make them feel safe and at home. Special Skills & Medical Expertise I am highly proficient in care for pets with chronic conditions. My technical skills include: Administering Injections: Experienced with subcutaneous shots (e.g., Insulin for diabetic pets). Medication Management: Proficient in oral pills, liquid medications, and topical ointments. Specialized Eye/Ear Care: Calm and steady hand for pets requiring regular drops. Senior Mobility Support: Experience assisting dogs with arthritis or hip dysplasia.

Kristen was able to accommodate our last minute request for a two night stay for Piper. Upon arriving at their home, PIper pulled us right to the door and was so excited to see Kristen and Mike, further assuring us that they are the perfect people to watch our dog. A short note and picture from Kristen arrives daily making us smile. This was Piper's second stay with Kristen and we couldn't be happier!

We were so pleased with the care that Kristen gave to our dog Piper. We received pictures every day with a note as to how Piper’s day was going. Piper had a wonderfully gated back yard to run in, daily walks with Kristen and plenty of cuddles that Piper loves. Hope to continue to use Kristen as our go to when we need to be out of town.

Kristen is outstanding! We left our senior dog who has mobility issues with her for 9 days and she was great with her! She sent us updates regularly with pictures! We will be using her again! I highly recommend her!

Kristen is absolutely the best sitter for my chihuahua. She took photos and texted me every day while I was away. My dog Rosa loved staying with her and was a little disappointed when I returned from my trip to pick her up from Kristen's house. I am so happy to have found Kristen and will definitely have her again to care for my dog. Rosa will be extremely happy, also! :)

Kristen was awesome with my boy. She was flexible in accommodating drop off and pick up changes and I could tell Ace had an awesome time as he fell right to sleep in the car. Kristen sent pictures and made sure he was comfortable during a storm. I will definitely use Kristen again! Thank you!!

Schedule

No "Left Alone" Time: Your pet will rarely be without human company for more than 1–2 hours (e.g., if I run a quick errand). Medical Precision: Working from home allows me to be extremely precise with timed medications or multi-step medical needs. Customizable: Since I only host one family at a time, I am happy to adjust my schedule to match your dog's specific routine at home!

Safety, trust & environment

Living beachside provides a serene environment, but safety is my priority. Your pet will enjoy my large, fully fenced backyard, which is checked daily for security. Because I work from home, your pet is essentially under 24/7 supervision. I never take "pack bookings," ensuring that your family's pets are the sole focus of my day.

A typical day

Fun & Adventures Beachside Walks: Daily strolls to enjoy the salt air customized to your pets needs Backyard Freedom: Plenty of fetch and zoomies in my large, fully fenced yard. Undivided Attention: As my only guest, your pet gets 100% of my focus. Work-from-Home Cuddles: Frequent desk-side belly rubs and companionship all day. Photo Updates: You’ll receive regular shots of your pup’s beachside vacation!
