“Avery has been a godsend ! We needed to go out of state for our granddaughter's 4th birthday but were worried that our dog Murphy would not adjust to a new person. Murphy is very shy and anxious and honestly has a hard time warming up to new people. Avery allowed Murphy to come to them and in 2 days Avery was taking Murphy for a walk with Zoe ! The pictures of our fur babies through the week allowed me to enjoy my time away knowing that all four pets were well taken care of. Avery stayed at the house and it was kept so clean, Avery even washed and changed the sheets ! The cat box was clean and the trash was emptied. We would highly recommend Avery for any type of pet needs/care in you're home We've had pet sitters but none have compared to the love and care that Avery gave. We're happy to say that we have found the right person to be our sitter and look forward to future granddaughter trips !!!”

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs for 20+ years and have owned cats for 5+ years now. I love all manner of pets and enjoy spending extended periods of time walking, and playing with them as well as just hanging out. I also have experience medicating both cats and dogs, as well as taking care of senior pets. I'm a full-time student (online) so when pet sitting I enjoy spending time with pets while I do schoolwork, as I do with my own pets when I'm at home. I have no set schedule, however I prefer to care for pets that can be left for 4-8 hours at a time as I have errands to run like anyone else. When I'm not working on my classes I enjoy knitting and crochet which are also easily portable. I have an enclosed patio which I enjoy giving my cats time on. Many of my clients do as well so I will let cats onto the patio to enjoy the sun, and critters (especially when the weather is nice). I enjoy playing with various pets. My own cats love fishing pole toys, and when I watch dogs I will play fetch with them. I also regularly brush my own cats and am comfortable brushing and bathing both cats and dogs!

About: Hi, I am Alexis! I am a life long animal lover and pet sitter for the last decade. Although I specialize in large dogs and heavy pullers I welcome all pets! I have many "regulars" both on the Rover.com app and private clients who trust and depend on me and I am so fortunate to have them. I have reliable transportation and pride myself on dependability. I will care for your pets the way I would want mine to be treated. I am owned by a Pitbull named Athena and an Orange Tabby Cat named Cheeto. I also raise Quail. I have extensive livestock experience. I grew up riding Western Pleasure and working in show barns. I am happiest covered in hair and dirt! I also showed rabbits and hogs as a youth. I have spent the last 15 years employed with Publix Supermarkets where I enjoy my 4am shifts and making bread. I can't wait to meet your babies! I have a full time job and pets of my own. If you are flexable about the time for your drop in or walk, I may be the one for you! My overnight is generally 7pm-3am and provide a drop in midday (around 1pm-2pm) included in house sitting price. I treat them just like my own. Animals will be fed/given water daily to the owners specifications. Doors will be checked twice to make sure they are locked. I am the only one in or out of the clients home during my sits, ever. Clean background check provided by Rover.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life my last dog I had for 17 years old he was a chihuahua and was with me through high school college and kids! He passed away in 2020 and I’ve since picked up pet sitting to help give love I have. I’m the go to person for all my neighbors and friends and family for animal sitting old, young, disabled animals you name it I’ve done it. I recently fostered two kittens and it was so much joy for me. About: Hi all! While I am currently working as an animal care professional, I have always been involved with caring for animals in and around the home. Whether it’s been personal pets, or those of friends and family, caring for animals is one of many things I am passionate about. I have my own two cats at the moment, and have raised one puppy growing up who’s still my family’s beautiful best friend. Being responsible for these sweet little critters, I fully understand the stress of having to find proper care when you need to travel for any reason. In terms of others’ pets, I have mainly cared for domestics such as dogs and cats but have even had a family with some goats and a pot-bellied pig. In terms of my professional career, I have been in the zoo field for about 3 years. From experience at multiple zoos, I have worked with animals as small as tarantulas to as large as bears. In that time, I have been able to learn to care for a plethora of taxa including (but not limited to): small-large birds, mammals, and reptiles from all over the world. This field requires an extreme passion and dedication toward learning to properly care for every aspect of an animals daily life and routine. There’s no shortcuts when caring for the zoo animals, and I will take no short cuts with yours. The zoo field has also introduced me to the world of animal training . While not a certified trainer (yet), I have a deep passion for animal behavior and learning how to teach animals to be consenting participants in their own care. So while I won’t be training any of your pets, I am happy to work with any and all animals despite any behaviors that could be labeled as “difficult.” All of your critters deserve to be cared for properly when you’re not home, and I would be glad to provide that necessary peace of mind. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I am currently employed full-time from Fri-Tues. While that’s the general schedule, my work requires a lot of flexibility so it is subject to change. However, that flexibility means I am open to flexible homes. I am mainly looking to keep busy and help out on my weekend, but would be happy to oblige crime opportunities on other days if possible. While my home is unfortunately not available to take in your pets at the moment, I do care for some pets of my own. I have two beautiful cats that love to keep me busy in between their naps. Knowing how much I stress about their care when I’m gone, I will make sure to follow any rules you have for your pets and your homes. My kitties do have a great setup to be happy and healthy if I need to be out of the home for extended periods. As such, I am happy to help with extended stays as needed.
