“We adore Avery! Always kind, always responsive, and the dogs are always happy and healthy when we return. If it wasn’t for the fact that the dogs have been fed I’d question if he was even here because the house is always exactly as we left it. We appreciate you!!”

About: I love pets! I treat pets like fur babies and like a member of the family! I like to go to the beach, the dog park, and take rides in the car. I am more than willing to send pics and videos of your baby so you can feel comfortable they are being well taken care of:) I am home all day and am looking forward to spending time with your fur baby! I can do regular walks and potty breaks and I have a fully fenced back yard. I have a camera in the home that lets me check in when I am not at home. I have a house alarm and take special care to keep your fur babies safe:)

“Megan is just a pleasure. She is very prompt and respectful and courteous. Our Charlie can be a handful sometimes, but she warmed to Megan almost immediately. We were able to have some nice time away without worrying that Charlie was worrying. We'll definitely be asking Megan back.”

About: I grew up with a dog in the house and then starting watching dogs and caring for them starting at around age 13. I was the "go-to" dog walker in the neighborhood as I was reliable and made sure each dog received proper care while I was in charge! I a currently a personal trainer and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I have the ability to walk or care for your loved one at a variety of different times in hopes that you will not have to worry while away! I make sure that I follow the proper steps and procedures based on what the family is looking for. I am sure to feed, walk, pet, play, exercise, or hang with your little one!
“Valery was amazing! She sent us so many fun pictures of the pets and handled all Coops medications and needs with extra care. Nubz, our cat seemed smitten with her, as she happily napped on top of Valery. lol Before leaving she even took Coop for his favorite walk! I highly recommend her if you need someone to go above and beyond for your pets!”

“Mary Cathryne and Edward were a blessing to us and our Bassett Sadie. They responded quickly to our last minute request for a house sitter and we communicated everything over the phone. We received detailed messages throughout each day regarding meals, meds, and walks. We especially enjoyed receiving photos, videos, and maps of walks. We will definitely keep Mary Cathryne and Edward at the top of our pet sitter list!”

About: I recently moved to Florida and would love to provide care to the community in my area! I have 6 years of dog care experience, 3 of which have been in a professional capacity at a boarding and rescue facility. I have plenty of experience conducting one on one as well as group play so if you have more than one pet in the home it's no problem! I am the most passionate about providing care for dogs with varing levels of reactivity, who may not have the opportunity to thrive in traditional daycare/boarding environments. But I love ALL temperaments and would love to provide safe and fun care for your best friend(s)! I also have a lot of experience caring for elderly and disabled animals ❤️ I do work a typical job, but I am lucky to have quite a bit of flexibility. So I am able to work with you to provide the care you need! I follow instructions to the T and try to keep their routine as close to normal as possible. I have behavioral and body language training that plays a key part in my care. I am big on enrichment! Which includes; playtime, walks (with lots of sniffing), puzzles for pups that are interested, licky mats and frozen kong. Thing to keep their brain engaged! As long as it is approved by pet parents, I use diet appropriate treats along with positive reinforcement to build trust and can easily adapt and continue with any training plans you may have.

About: Hi, I am Alexis! I am a life long animal lover and pet sitter for the last decade. Although I specialize in large dogs and heavy pullers I welcome all pets! I have many "regulars" both on the Rover.com app and private clients who trust and depend on me and I am so fortunate to have them. I have reliable transportation and pride myself on dependability. I will care for your pets the way I would want mine to be treated. I am owned a pitbull, a boxer mix and a orange tabby . I also raise Quail and Chickens. I have extensive livestock experience. I grew up riding Western Pleasure and working in show barns. I am happiest covered in hair and dirt! I have spent the last 15 years employed full time l with Publix Supermarkets where I enjoy my 4am shifts and making bread. I can't wait to meet your babies! I have a full time job and pets of my own. If you are flexable about the time for your drop in or walk, I may be the one for you! My overnight is generally 7pm-3am and provide a drop in midday (around 1pm-2pm) included in house sitting price. I treat them just like my own. Animals will be fed/given water daily to the owners specifications for sits. Doors will be checked twice to make sure they are locked. I am the only one in or out of the clients home during my sits, ever. Clean background check provided by Rover.
“Damian went above and beyond for our boys while we were out of town with a last minute request. His updates were great and ample. I never had to wonder how they were doing. I would definitely hire him again. I’m sure the boys were wondering where their new friend was when we came home.”

“Shannon was great, she came thru in a pinch when two prior pet sitters canceled on me! She was able to squeeze in a meet & greet with such short notice. Was prompt on sitting day. Provided photos and feedback. Will use again.”

About: I am a Registered Nurse and Biomedical Engineer. To pay my studies on me of my professor come to me to take care of his dogs while he was on vacation. Since then I work with different clients from the university and start volunteering in a animal shelter. Is there when I realize that I take care of the animals as send as humans. God send them to heal and make us company. Dogs therapy have been proved to help patients to heal. Why not treat them as they deserve. They make part of our family. After volunteering in the animal shelter I start receiving a lot of volume of clients because the way I take care of my patients is the same way sometimes even higher, the care I provide to animals.
“Reyna watched our 4 dogs during July 4th weekend. She was on time each visit and took great care of our 4 pups. She fed them, took them out and played with them and made sure they got all their energy out before she left. She even stayed extra time one night while fireworks were going off in our neighborhood. 2 of our dogs get high anxiety with loud noises. She called and let me know the situation and stayed longer until both dogs were calm. Our puppy also lost a puppy tooth while she was there and she called to let me know about it. Reyna is super sweet, responsible and communicates well during her visits. We actually just booked her again for overnight stays while we’re out of town coming up. We are very thankful we found Reyna. Our pups love her and we appreciate her love for dogs and how responsible she is during her time with our fur babies.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Daytona Beach
Kristie was absolutely phenomenal and I can’t recommend her enough. I have three dogs and she handled the initial greeting chaos like a pro- calm, confident, and so kind- and had them settled in with her almost immediately. They absolutely adore her (especially Chap!), and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such loving, capable hands. On a day when I really needed both reliable care and a kind heart, Kristie showed up with both. She will 100% be my first call whenever I need care for my dogs again. 🤍

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Daytona Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Daytona Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Daytona Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
