“Brian has been the best sitter we've found so far. He house sat for us while we were out of town. He was very honest and communicative. We're hoping to book him again for our next trip out of town.”

“Hannah did a great job watching my furbaby Toby and watching my home. She kept me updated on his behavior and sent pictures everyday. I will gladly us Hannah again.”

“Shannon was great, she came thru in a pinch when two prior pet sitters canceled on me! She was able to squeeze in a meet & greet with such short notice. Was prompt on sitting day. Provided photos and feedback. Will use again.”
“Reyna watched our 4 dogs during July 4th weekend. She was on time each visit and took great care of our 4 pups. She fed them, took them out and played with them and made sure they got all their energy out before she left. She even stayed extra time one night while fireworks were going off in our neighborhood. 2 of our dogs get high anxiety with loud noises. She called and let me know the situation and stayed longer until both dogs were calm. Our puppy also lost a puppy tooth while she was there and she called to let me know about it. Reyna is super sweet, responsible and communicates well during her visits. We actually just booked her again for overnight stays while we’re out of town coming up. We are very thankful we found Reyna. Our pups love her and we appreciate her love for dogs and how responsible she is during her time with our fur babies.”
“Molly was great watching Monty and our Bunny. It is not any easy task watching the our freeroaming rabbit. She did a great job and Monty seemed really happy. We would ask her back again. She sent us some cute photos and always kept in touch with us by text. Thanks Molly!”

“8/20/26 - 8/23/26 Brynn took great care of my fur baby Jeep on 8/20/26 - 8/23/26, she shared photos of Jeep, he looked excited and engaged in his walks. Although she did not share alot of daily photos or daily activities of Jeep, I had peace of mind knowing that my fur baby Jeep was well taken care of by an experienced animal lover and professional. Jeep had fun, looked comfortable and relaxed. I would definitely recommend Brynn and will book again when we have another long weekend or vacati”

“Valery is one of the best sitters I have used on this platform. She took care of our two dogs when we were gone and did a great job taking care of one of our dogs who needs extra attention and keeping us updated.”

About: Hi! My name is Sarah, and if you spoke to anyone who's ever known me, the first thing they would probably tell you is that I love animals. I currently have four kitties who I absolutely adore — all of them are rescued. I love all dogs as well and I have a big soft spot for pits and chihuahuas. I also have had fish, ducks, chickens, geese, cows, and guinea pigs! I truly love them all. I can do dog walking and dog/cat/farm/other type of pet drop-ins. I have no breed or size preferences! I am comfortable around all dogs and can handle all sizes well including various demeanors and behavioral challenges or special needs. I would honestly love the chance to get to know your animals and be someone who you trust to care for them when you are away. Please don't hesitate to message me if you are interested! :) I currently work during the daytime but I am able to fill in while you’re gone by letting them outside To go to the bathroom and feeding / caring for them before and after work. I am very aware of my demeanor with new animals to make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me. I want them to trust me and be happy whenever I come by to take care of them.

Born and raised in Daytona it has given me a laid back attitude and calm presence when it comes to handling animals of any personality, size, and shape. We can't say enough positive things about Mary Catherine and Edward. The care our Beagles received was right on point. From daily walks to spending time with, the beagz were in the best of care. We received multiple updates daily with photos to view. I would highly recommend both of them and the services they provide. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Mila and Marley. AKA the Browns Lol.
Maryellen is amazing! Very professional and kind. It’s a little nerve wracking leaving your beloved pets with someone you are unfamiliar with and don’t know. But Mell couldn’t have put us more at ease. She is timely, considerate to all the little nuances of all three of our pups. She showed kindness towards us and was very loving to our pets. She pays attention to detail and goes above and beyond. We are grateful to have found her and look forward to booking care for our pups with her again.

Valery was amazing! She sent us so many fun pictures of the pets and handled all Coops medications and needs with extra care. Nubz, our cat seemed smitten with her, as she happily napped on top of Valery. lol Before leaving she even took Coop for his favorite walk! I highly recommend her if you need someone to go above and beyond for your pets!

Lacee cared for our 2 small dogs and cat for a few days. She did several 'meet and greets' for us until we were satisfied that our pets were warming up to her. She was very flexible with the times planned for this and the amount of each time spent. She completely understood how important it is was for us to feel that our pets were comfortable with her. We were able to leave our pets with her knowing they were in good caring hands. She sent us pictures and updates which was great and we had a wonderful getaway with no worries!
PaulDavid was an excellent petsitter. He was immediately responsive to our request and proactively reached out to schedule a meet and greet on the same day. He was very professional and responsible. We will definitely contact him again when we need a sitter. Highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Port Orange walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Port Orange maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Port Orange choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Port Orange. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
