About: I grew up with a dog in the house and then starting watching dogs and caring for them starting at around age 13. I was the "go-to" dog walker in the neighborhood as I was reliable and made sure each dog received proper care while I was in charge! I a currently a personal trainer and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I have the ability to walk or care for your loved one at a variety of different times in hopes that you will not have to worry while away! I make sure that I follow the proper steps and procedures based on what the family is looking for. I am sure to feed, walk, pet, play, exercise, or hang with your little one!
“Damian and Brittany are great pet lovers! Damian watched our Rhodesian Ridgeback for the first time and we couldn’t be more pleased or comfortable with him watching our boy. He is trustworthy, patient and very communicative! Our pup can be shy and standoffish around new people he meets, but he took to Damian and I’m sure they will become great friends with every subsequent visit. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with choosing Damian!”

“Lisa took great care of our golden retriever, Aspen. I believe she and her family treated Aspen like one of the family. During our time away, nearly 2 weeks, we received 108 photos and numerous text messages and quick replies to questions. Excellent care, and Aspen is looking forward to returning. Aspen is 10 years old. ”

About: Dogs have been apart of my family since the day I was born. My family has a thing for Pit Bulls, and I’ve never known a day where there isn’t at least one living with us. We adopted our current dog when I was in first grade, and at 11 years old, she’ll get to see me bring home my diploma soon. I wasn’t her primary caregiver in the earlier years of course, but as time passed my parents grew busier with work and I was able to assume the responsibility. I have been able to work her schedule into mine including feeding, bathing, and exercise. She loves to be outside just as much as I do. Always by my side, she truly is my furry best friend…I can’t wait to meet yours! At the moment I am working a part time job two-three times a week. I have plenty of availability aside from this responsibility. This includes weekends! I’m available to feed, bathe, walk, and play with your pet. I understand pets aren’t always as cleanly as we’d want them to be, so I will be there to tidy up as well. As pet owners, we all have our own way of doing things, which is why I like to schedule meetings beforehand to discuss any minor details. Your pet deserves the best care!

“Megan is just a pleasure. She is very prompt and respectful and courteous. Our Charlie can be a handful sometimes, but she warmed to Megan almost immediately. We were able to have some nice time away without worrying that Charlie was worrying. We'll definitely be asking Megan back.”

“Kirk did a super job watching my dogs on Friday and Saturday. He walked them, took them on a golf cart ride and gave them loads of attention. He was flexible with my schedule and came over early both nights. We will definitely use him again for dog care.”

“Brittney was awesome with my house full of fur babies. It takes so much anxiety out of my trips away to know I have someone dependable to stay at our home. She went above and beyond expectation in that she not only stuck to their everyday walking schedules, feeding schedules, medication schedules, and various special instructions for a couple of the pets…but she she also helped me out with watering a plant I was concerned about and even offering to stay longer if I needed her to. I would definitely recommend her…My pets really felt comfortable with her and I hope to use her again in the near future. Thanks Brittany! 5 ⭐️’s!!!!”

“Kim is the best, can’t recommend her highly enough. This was her third or fourth sit for me, and she always does a great job and communicates on a regular basis. Thank you!”

About: Hi, I am Alexis! I am a life long animal lover and pet sitter for the last decade. Although I specialize in large dogs and heavy pullers I welcome all pets! I have many "regulars" both on the Rover.com app and private clients who trust and depend on me and I am so fortunate to have them. I have reliable transportation and pride myself on dependability. I will care for your pets the way I would want mine to be treated. I am owned a pitbull, a boxer mix and a orange tabby . I also raise Quail and Chickens. I have extensive livestock experience. I grew up riding Western Pleasure and working in show barns. I am happiest covered in hair and dirt! I have spent the last 15 years employed full time l with Publix Supermarkets where I enjoy my 4am shifts and making bread. I can't wait to meet your babies! I have a full time job and pets of my own. If you are flexable about the time for your drop in or walk, I may be the one for you! My overnight is generally 7pm-3am and provide a drop in midday (around 1pm-2pm) included in house sitting price. I treat them just like my own. Animals will be fed/given water daily to the owners specifications for sits. Doors will be checked twice to make sure they are locked. I am the only one in or out of the clients home during my sits, ever. Clean background check provided by Rover.
“We needed someone to stay at our house for the weekend while we were away and Jane was available! She took great care of our pets, dog and two cats. I always got updates and pictures. Thanks again, Jane!”

“I couldn't be happier with Cheryl. She took great care of my dogs and sent regular updates. I highly recommend her and have no concerns about leaving them with her again. Thank you!”

“Thus far we have had Laura do approximately 5 hour drop in where she hung out the entire time with our girl, Jaxson. Prior to hiring her we met her to see how she and Jaxson hit it off and they did great together. Jaxson is really excited to see her and enjoys her company. Laura was very attentive, respectful, on time and caring. We would hire her again in the future.”

“This was our first time using Kat! She is wonderful. She is professional, kind and added a calm presence to our babies! She stayed in our home, kept it spotless and gave our babies love and attention while we were away. Pics and videos kept us updated! Highly recommend!!! Thank you for loving our crew!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ormond Beach
I feel like we lucked out finding Leilani!!! We had never done a home stay and were understandably nervous, but excited for the possibility it opens up… we usually boarding our dog, but we have an older cat that now requires a bit more looking after than her automatic feeder. Leilani came over for a meet & greet beforehand, which eased my anxieties as she is as calming in person to humans as I am sure she is to the animals! She has kind, caring, and peaceful energy. She even handled a couple things that came up while we were gone that I wouldn’t have asked of her, and as a new home owner is unbelievably appreciated. And when we returned the girls seemed incredibly well cared for! Super happy, calm, well fed, emotionally loved, our dog didn’t even bark to get out of her crate when we walked in!!! Honestly, I would love to gate keep this earth angel Leilani LOL but I can promise you are in great hands.

Ashlyn stayed with our "girls", Macy (mini doxie) and Ivy "blonde lab" for 7 days 6 nights. She was very responsive to any communication sent and even sent pictures of our pups to show us they were comfortable and happy in her care. Hope to have her care for them again in the future!

Jeileen was very kind and clearly cared about our dog. We loved that she included him in her daily life and even took him along to visit family — he came home happy and well socialized. The only reason for four stars instead of five is communication. There were a few times we had important questions about his medications and didn’t get any response, which was stressful. Overall a good experience, and with more consistent communication it would be great.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ormond Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ormond Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ormond Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
