About: Excited to be on Rover, brand new to this app, although my family has been pet sitting for years. We moved to this area a year ago. I grew up on a farm in Western Massachusetts and my dad was a vet, so we had plenty of animals around! It was a blast and gave me a strong passion of caring for animals at a young age. I helped my dad out with his veterinary office in high school, until moving to Florida. I’ve also been a shelter worker and veterinary technician and my family and I have fostered and rescued countless dogs and cats! I am kind of crazy animal dude. My teenage daughter shares my love for animals as well and loves helping out. I don’t board more than two dogs a night because I have my own, unless they are from the same family. Then we will board up to four. Please only dog friendly dogs. Because my home has a dog door, I ask for no escape artists and/or dogs with severe separation anxiety. The privacy fence is 8”, but dogs will have access to both indoors and outdoors having the doggy door, as long as they aren’t too chubby to fit, which sometimes happens! I used to be a tree climber. Unfortunately, I fell off a roof a few years ago and broke both of my feet. Thankfully I’m able to walk and be active again so I still do tree jobs part time, but I’m home more often than not, so decided to turn my love for animals into something. My daughter turns 15 next month and shares our passion for animals. Between myself, my wife, and our daughter, someone is almost always home. We are total animal people and all educated in animal behavior. I have a fully fenced yard and a playful pup who is still respectful to lower energy/smaller/senior dogs. I have a dog door, dogs are allowed on the furniture. They are very spoiled here!
