About: Hi there — I'm a lifelong dog lover based in Daytona Beach, FL, with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs through rescue, fostering, and my own home. I'd love to be the person your pup looks forward to seeing. Personal Experience I've shared my home with dogs continuously since 2017, so daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and all the little quirks of dog ownership are second nature to me. Rescue and Volunteer Experience • Dog walker at Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge — walking shelter dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. • Dog walker at Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta — comfortable handling large and giant breeds with confidence and calm leash control. • Foster for Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue — providing in-home care, daily exercise, and a safe transition for dogs awaiting adoption. • Foster transport coordinator for Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida — organizing safe, low-stress transport for dogs on their way to forever homes. What I Bring to Every Walk and Visit • A calm, patient approach with anxious, shy, or high-energy dogs • Strong leash skills and awareness of canine body language • Reliable, on-time arrivals and clear communication with owners • Photo and video updates so you can see your dog enjoying their day • Comfort handling puppies, seniors, and dogs with medical or behavioral needs I am available seven days a week — mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Flexible scheduling for one-time walks, regular routines, or last-minute requests. I treat every dog like my own — whether that means a brisk adventure walk, a sniff-filled stroll, or simply quiet company and a belly rub. Your dog's safety, happiness, and routine are my top priorities.
“Joanna did a wonderful job taking care of our Willow Jayne! The pictures and detailed doggie journal were amazing! We look forward to you checking in on Willow Jayne in the future.”

“Brenda communicated with us the entire time, which made us feel more relax about leaving our cat for a few days at home. Overall, we had a great experience with Brenda and would recommend her to anyone. She also sent pics and videos!”

About: We have taken care of many dogs and cats throughout the years, for friends, family, and neighbors and are very comfortable caring for all sizes and temperaments! We have a back unit in our home that will serve as a dedicated spot for your fur babies to eat, sleep, and relax in comfort with us. We have a large fenced in backyard for them to play in too! We love to take daily walks and give plenty of attention to any pet we care for! One of us is work from home, and the other is hybrid with 3 days at home, so someone will always be in the house to attend to pets. We are free any day of the week, and also open to multiple overnight stays if needed! We have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to play in, and a separated back unit to give your pet a dedicated space where they have plenty of space to move around in. We also have many toys and treats for cats and dogs. We are located near the beach in a very walkable area, and will take your pet for frequent walks as well.
“Where do I start? By saying thank you, honestly. I'm not a fan if leaving my home and basically my kids to someone new, it's an ordeal. But having found Angela here had changed that. I can now go a travel without having to worry about my little ones, she went above and beyond with her care and services. Tremendous care, on time, true to her word, and above all she's super cool, and with her ffet in the ground. Book her and forget about the rest! Thank you!!!”

“I couldn’t be happier with Paul as our dog walker! From day one, he has been incredibly punctual and reliable - something that’s so important when you’re coordinating your schedule around pet care. Plus I can tell Rocky absolutely loved him by the way he looked so relaxed in the pics. Thanks again!”

About: I have had multiple dogs and pets throughout the years, i'm at home dad, happy to help other families that are going on vacations, or for any other reason. I am currently a stay at home dad. So I have time available to be here to take care of your pets. My children are 10 and 12 years old. I have a fenced in yard and crates where I can easily put the dog. Have a pool in my back yard. Kids love dogs.
“This is the second visit Monica has taken on with my energetic pups. She is a great communicator and sends lots of pics. Chewy arrived while she was there and she provided treats all around :) the pups love her and I can’t say enough about how appreciative I am to have a reliable person to take care of the pups while I’m out!”

“Randa is the best. Excellent communication, so nice and accommodating, and fantastic pet care. I was so scared to leave my cat for three weeks but she could not have been in better hands. I’m so grateful to Randa for everything. Would book again in a heartbeat!”
About: I've always taken care of my family pets, and have dog-sat for family friends! I kept up with meds, food, play, and anything else the dogs needed or wanted. Anyone I've asked said that they were more than satisfied with my care. Over the summer, I'll be taking online classes and have a part-time job, so I'll be pretty flexible when it comes to stopping by or walking dogs! I unfortunately will not be able to offer services at my own home. I have dogs where that type of activity just wouldn't suite them.
About: I started my pet care journey, pretty early on in my life when getting a Chihuahua that had epilepsy, she required a lot of attention, and that inspired me to really continue on my journey of pet care. I am experienced giving both cats and dogs, medicine, orally, and following specific diets as well. I currently am in college living with my two cats and they are my best friends. I am currently working sales, so I have a very flexible schedule that I am able to leave during the day to check on your pet and I can also of course check on them morning and night as well if you have a pet that needs to be watched in person overnight I can also make that work. When coming to the care of pets, I will do whatever is needed. I feel very safe when it comes to pets, and I am willing to also work with any timid animals as well. I feel like I have not had an issue with getting an animal to trust me.
About: Throughout my life, I have gained valuable qualifications as a dedicated pet lover and experienced pet owner. Being a lifetime cat owner has provided me with extensive knowledge and expertise in caring for feline companions. Additionally, I have developed the skill of administering pills to cats, ensuring their proper medication and health. Moreover, my passion for animals has led me to foster around 50 dogs, including those with disabilities. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and providing specialized care. With my diverse background in raising multiple puppies, pill administration for cats, and fostering dogs with disabilities, I bring a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the unique needs of pets to any situation. In my daily routine, I begin the day with the care of my three beloved cats, each with their own special dietary needs due to health issues. I meticulously prepare their meals, ensuring that their specific dietary requirements are met. Alongside their meals, I administer necessary pills to each of them, ensuring their overall well-being. After tending to my feline friends, I embark on a daily walk with my loyal and gentle 10-year-old German Shepherd, who weighs an impressive 95 pounds. This regular exercise routine not only keeps my furry companion healthy but also strengthens our bond. Throughout the day, I continue to provide attentive care to all of my pets, nurturing their individual needs with love and dedication. As a conscientious pet sitter in Virginia, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment during my hourly checkups. I diligently follow any specific care instructions provided by the pet owners, ensuring that their guidelines are strictly adhered to. I take necessary precautions to guarantee the safety of the pets by thoroughly assessing their surroundings and eliminating potential hazards. Building trust is essential, and I approach each visit with a gentle and reliable demeanor, establishing a bond of trust with the pets and their owners. Furthermore, I strive to create a comfortable environment by maintaining cleanliness, providing cozy bedding, and engaging in interactive playtime. By emphasizing safety, trust, following care instructions, and cultivating a comfortable environment, I provide exceptional care for pets in Virginia.

We had a wonderful experience with Brenda! She took such great care of our cats while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She sent us wonderful photos and updates, made sure Pocono got his medication, and spent time giving them plenty of attention and playing with them. It was clear they were comfortable and well cared for. We came home to happy cats! We would absolutely recommend her and will definitely use her again. ❤️🐾

Lauren was great in taking care of my pet guinea pig Coco. She was very caring and did an amazing job to make sure she had enough food and water every visit. Also, went the extra mile in cleaning her area. Very much appreciated and highly recommend her. Thank you Lauren :)

Tara has been helping me the last week take care of my puppy while I’m at work. Helping out with a puppy during the potty training stage is a lot of work but she is always there on time to make sure she’s okay throughout the day. She always responds very quickly, has worked with me when changes come up with my work schedule, and has helped clean up when there’s accidents which I really appreciate a lot. She is great and I’m really thankful to have her help with my baby!

Lisa took great care of my fur baby Jeep on Saturday, 9/13, she was there for me on a last minute call. Lisa shared lots of photos of his day activity. I had peace of mind knowing that our Jeep was well taken care of. I would highly recommend Lisa and will book again soon.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
