“Where do I start? By saying thank you, honestly. I'm not a fan if leaving my home and basically my kids to someone new, it's an ordeal. But having found Angela here had changed that. I can now go a travel without having to worry about my little ones, she went above and beyond with her care and services. Tremendous care, on time, true to her word, and above all she's super cool, and with her ffet in the ground. Book her and forget about the rest! Thank you!!!”

About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs since I was 10. I’ve regularly dog-sat for friends and family while they’re out of town, including feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping pets company. I’m responsible, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m currently taking a break from school and work so I have full availability to take care of your pets! My schedule is incredibly flexible. I enjoy spending as much time with animals and I take them out for frequent potty breaks if needed. I can accommodate any need that you may have for your pets.

About: I have about 7 years of pet care experience with dogs of various sizes, as well as cats. Dogs with hearing and /or sight issues, as well allergies, I have experience caring for animals of all sizes. My experience comes from caring for my brothers dog, my nieces dog, as well as some outside clients who went away on vacation, and asked me to pet sit for them! Please Read before reaching out: I do work part time job aside from dog/cat sitting services but I’d be more than happy to accommodate you, and your pet the best way I can. 😊 Animals that can be taken out between 4-8 hours do work best with my schedule. Safety is my absolute top priority! I’d never want to put myself nor your pet in any unsafe situation . I pride myself on following any and all instructions left by the owner as well as making sure your pets are as comfortable as possible. Establishing trust is an extremely important part of the process not only between me and your pet but as well between my self and the owner as well so, I like to schedule meet and greets, and allow us all to get to know each other better when possible!

About: I have worked with dogs and all types of animals my whole life my last job I was a doggie daycare attendant and had up to 10 dogs in one group making sure they were happy and safe and was also a dog bather working with all breeds and sizes from Saint Bernard to chihuahuas. I also have been dog sitting for family and friends for a long time now. I'm currently not working at the moment so I'm available any day or time to dog or cat sit and can stay the night with them How I Keep Pets Safe and Take Care of Them As a dedicated and caring pet sitter, the safety, comfort, and happiness of the animals in my care are always my top priorities. Whether I’m watching over dogs, cats, or both, I treat each pet as if they were my own. For Dogs I follow their regular routine closely including feeding times, walks, potty breaks, and play. I use secure leashes and harnesses on walks and keep a close eye on surroundings to avoid any dangers like aggressive dogs or busy streets. I make sure they stay hydrated, well-fed, and have plenty of attention and exercise based on their energy level and age. I monitor for signs of stress, illness, or discomfort, and I’ll notify the owner right away if anything seems off. I keep doors and gates closed and locked at all times to prevent escapes. For Cats: I respect their individual personalities giving shy cats space and attention when they’re ready, and playing with the more social ones. I keep litter boxes clean and ensure they have fresh water and food according to the owner’s instructions. I make sure indoor cats stay safely inside, and outdoor access (if allowed) is closely supervised. I give them cozy spots to relax and enrich their day with toys, brushing, or cuddles (if they enjoy it). For all pets, I maintain a calm, loving environment and stick to their normal schedule as much as possible to reduce stress while their owners are away. I also send regular updates and pictures so you know your pets are safe and happy.

I've have rescues but I've also had 3 Golden Doodle litters. I am currently semi retired/unemployed so I'm able to work 24/7. For the most part I'm available at a moment's notice. I couldn't imagine life without pets. I care for any pet like they're part of the family, whether they're mine or yours. I'll respect your decision on how you like to treat your pets.... on the furniture, off the furniture, time of day you feed your pets and only what you want me to feed them, crate or no crate, where and when to walk your pets and for how long you want them walked. About: For over five years, I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and medical attention. My experience includes administering medications, calming pets during storms with comfort crates, and building trust with even the shyest animals. I’ve raised multiple dog breeds—including Dachshunds and Australian Shepherds—as well as cats and even a hedgehog, giving me a broad and compassionate approach to pet care. Your pet’s happiness and safety are my top priorities. I’m currently not working, which gives me the flexibility to offer focused, attentive pet care throughout the day. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding routines, or just keeping pets company, I have the time and dedication to make sure your animals are happy, safe, and cared for around the clock. Pet care isn’t just a side job for me—it’s something I genuinely love and prioritize. I treat every home and pet with the respect and care they deserve. Whether I’m in your space or welcoming pets into mine, I follow your routines closely, keep environments clean and calm, and stay alert to each animal’s specific needs. I’m comfortable with crates, medication routines, and safety measures like keeping doors secure and watching for triggers like storms or loud noises. My goal is always to build trust—with both pets and their people.

About: I have always loved dogs. I have one of my own and he bring so much joy to me. I think when people own their own dog they realize they aren’t just pets they really are part of the family . I feel like I can add an extra set of care be able to make them feel like they’re at home and be personal. These are a part of your family so they should be treated like a family member. I’m currently in school but pretty much have an open schedule. I might have one or two shift shifts during the day, but I’m available after four every single day and then on the weekends all day. Like i mentioned prior i have 2 dogs at home so i am use to the playing making sure they are happy and keeping up with them. I also have realized they are very different from each other so it’s important to adjust to how they would want things and there own space

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve had and cared for my own dogs for as long as I can remember, including my two dogs at home who are truly part of the family. I also regularly pet sit for a family about twice a year, so I’m comfortable taking on the responsibility of caring for someone else’s pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. What sets me apart is that I genuinely see pet sitting as a passion, not just a job. I absolutely love animals and would be so excited to spend my time getting to know their personalities, keeping them company, playing with them, and giving them all the attention and care they deserve. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your babies, and I would treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. 🐾🤍 My promise is to always be attentive, dependable, patient, and loving, while making sure your pets feel comfortable and cared for. Getting to work with animals is honestly a dream for me, and I would be so grateful for the opportunity to love on your fur babies! 🫶 I recently moved back to the Daytona Beach area and am currently a full-time college student, but all of my classes are online, so I have a very flexible schedule. I’m not working a job right now, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care throughout the week. Since my schoolwork can be done from home and I can plan my schedule around my responsibilities, I’m able to be flexible with walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, and spending quality time with your pets. I love having animals around and would genuinely enjoy making pet care a regular part of my week! 🐾🤍 Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in their home, my biggest priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I always take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions their owner provides. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and make sure everything stays clean and just the way they left it. I’ll keep up with feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention and cuddles! 🐾🤍 I also understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow whatever routine helps them feel most comfortable. My goal is for your pets to feel like they’re getting their normal routine and lots of love while you’re away, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re being well cared for. 🫶

About: I've been caring for pets since I was 11 years old, and taking care of animals have always been a big part of my life. I have extensive experience with large and small dogs and am equally comfortable caring for cats. I also had the opportunity to care for pets belonging to U.S. State Department and Embassy families while living in Hanoi, Vietnam, which gave me experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and care routines. I am experienced in giving medication to dogs, dogs with special needs and extensive needs and older dogs who sometimes might have medical issues! I'm happy to help with bathing, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I've been bathing my own dogs and cats for years, so I'm comfortable keeping pets clean and comfortable. I also enjoy taking dogs on walks, visiting dog parks (when appropriate), and making sure they get the exercise and enrichment they need. My goal is to build a career in animal care, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I look forward to providing a safe, caring, and fun experience for your furry family members! PS. My reviews are on the same day because my account is new so I had my clients do testimonials :) My college classes are online so it doesn’t interfere. I do work 11-3 but I always make time :) My dog walking care is anytime that’s not through 11-3 and i can do routines :) I prioritize pet safety and make sure to follow all owner instructions carefully, ensuring pets are happy, healthy, and well cared for in my hands.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Glencoe

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
