“My dog is a challenge to deal with. Emily was able to provide exactly the service I needed, and as a result my pet(s) were alive and well when I returned from a 10 day family trip out of state. Emily communicated well, and was always in touch. I would recommend her and will use her in the future.”

“Tamara took wonderful care of our two dogs while we vacationed in New Smyrna Beach. We did not worry about them at all and they were in a good mood when we came back from the beach every afternoon. She was very good at sending me pictures and they seemed to enjoy their outside time. We vacation in New Smyrna Beach every year and will definitely book her services again. Thank you Tamara for taking such good care of Lucy and Luna.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a little kid and throughout my adult life. I currently have 2 medium Goldendoodles who are super friendly and love to play with other dogs. I don’t always update my availability over summer so please feel free to reach out to me as this time of year is busy for me, but it doesn’t mean I’m not available. I’m a stay at home wife so I have the availability to keep the type of routine your pets have for feedings, walking or just drop in visits. I’m here to learn what works best for you and your pet. My house is pet friendly and clean, especially with having 2 dogs myself. I also have a nice sized fenced yard. For boarding in my home I would have a meet and greet with my 2 dogs to make sure it’s a good fit before you leave them. I do require that your pet is clean, has no ticks or fleas. I do not feel comfortable with any type of bully breed dogs.
“Tracy was terrific! She is very friendly and loves pets. She was by every day on time and was a huge help to us. I definitely recommend Tracy and I'll be happy for her to take care of our cats next time we go on a trip.”

“Sophia did a great job with my dogs. She was able to take the booking on short notice, was always on time for each visit, sent photos of my pups having fun in the yard, and even washed out the dogfood containers before she left. I’m very happy we found her and will definitely book her again!”

About: I'm great from senior dog care to puppies. I raised puppies from day 1 and adopted dogs and kept them all through their senior years. I am well informed on how to keep up with all aged pups. I've raised and kept dogs all my life. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy caring for animals and have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable attention and care. I care for dogs in clients homes by following their routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship and making sure you pets feel comfortable and safe while there owner is away. Also treating your pet like family.
About: I have helped care for friends and families fur babies over the years. Bathing, babysitting, walking i have done it all for them. I’ve also 🥰 and care for my own dogs. Looking to work for neighbors in campgrounds who need assistance with letting dogs out to dog park, or go for walk, or just spending time with them.

I can also take your pups for walks if they like. I can also crate your fur baby when I am away or to sleep if required for a happy pup and house.
“Highly recommend for all of your pet sitting needs! I had Leah and Blake come by for a drop-in visit to let my dog out and give him some company. Will definitely be using them again in the future!”

About: Over the years, I’ve had dogs, cats, ferrets, mice, fish, chickens and hamsters. I love all types of animals and will love them like they were my own. I’m able to take care of your animals any time of the day. I’m available to spend the night during the week and the weekends. I don’t have any pets at this time. I had to put my 12 year old dog down after 11 wonderful years and still miss her to this day. I can’t go through that heartache again. I help my daughter with her 3 dogs though.
About: Hi All! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals, especially dogs (don't worry I love and adore kitties too)! We always had dogs growing up, from golden retrievers, to labs to hounds. I now have my own hound-mix who is 4 years old and 80 lbs. His name is Keeper and he is a very sweet and friendly dog. I often watch and sit for my boyfriend's 2 year old female German Shepherd. I don't currently have a cat of my own but I have been thinking about adopting one a lot recently. For now I am going to get my cat-fix through Rover. I have experience with dogs big and small. I will treat your pets like my own, and love and care for them while you are away. I have plenty of time to take your pups on long walks and allow them to sniff all the smells.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewater
We had a last-minute trip come up and needed a sitter on very short notice for our two dogs. Erin was wonderful. She was able to accommodate us right away and even fit in a meet and greet beforehand. It was immediately clear how much she loves dogs. She was warm, professional, attentive, and sent regular updates throughout our time away. We felt completely comfortable and at ease knowing our dogs were in such caring hands. Highly recommend Erin!

I had Daniela come again while I was away on a longer trip...I was nervous to leave my cats this time as 2 had developed some UTI issues just before I left. Daniela was so attentive and caring it really helped to know they were all in such great hands. She gave me regular updates so I could pass on to the vet on my return and ease my stress. I'm looking forward to having her back again when I need to go away!

First time using Rover and the first time we’ve needed a pet sitter. We hit the jackpot with Celeste! Right from the start she set our minds at ease and proved during every visit we could rely on her to take excellent care of our older cat. Needless to say, we could never have enjoyed our 3-week vacation without her.

Paige was FANTASTIC! She was very communicative, reliable and took excellent care of our fur baby, Ranger, while we were gone. Select truly cares about animals and if shows in how she cares for the pets she watches. We will definitely be using Paige again when we need a sitter for Ranger!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
