“This was our first time leaving Wally in daycare, and we had a wonderful experience. Tracy welcomed him into her home and made us feel completely at ease. We really appreciated the frequent photos and videos throughout the day, which gave us great peace of mind. There were other dogs in the home, and it was clear that care was taken to thoughtfully separate dogs when needed. Wally had a great time and came home happy and completely exhausted — he’s been sound asleep ever since. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend.”

“Deborah was great! I was in for a wedding and needed someone to watch my large dog for several hours. She responded quickly, was friendly and made me feel comfortable while at the wedding. Sent a picture too! If I’m up in the area again, would definitely call Deborah!! 💕”

“I just got Bella and didn’t want to leave her alone while I was working a few hours. I found Patrick he was fantastic with her. He communicated with me through the day. I was very happy with him and would highly recommend him.”

“Kona was in good hands from the 1st minute to the last minute. She came home and went right to bed. Nice to know you have a dog caregiver that loved her too. Tamara is the best!”

“My favorite dog sitter yet!!! Used multiple times now and super flexible with scheduling and my aging dogs needs… Had a last minute change to my plans and wallah, Katlyn never fails to adjust and be available always for both drop-off AND pick-up… 5-Star … My little Carebear love, love, loves her!!”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life. We have watched pets for several friends and family. Let us treat your pets like our family. I am currently not working and available all day including nights and weekends. You can also drop them off for just the day on weekends for last minute trips to theme parks. I have a fenced yard and 2 dogs of mine. They go to daycare during the week and the dog park on the weekend. For hotter days we have a kiddie pool for them cool off and play in.
“Our dog Murphy was able to stay at Giannas wonderful home for doggie day care fior 3 days in a row from 6/20-6/22/25. She was very accommodating to our last minute request to send Murphy to her Doggie Day Care. She was super accommodating to our pick up and drop off times. The Gianna family is very knowledgeable and receptive to our dogs needs . She sent me updates and pictures often. Murphy waa so happy and excited to run in her home . Murphy got walks and playtime with Nash , the most friendly dog in town. If we are back in the area, and need a day care for Murphy, Giannas home would be our first choice. We highly recommend Gianna for your dog. We would be so happy to use her again when needed.”

About: Bringing home my first rescue animal at just the age of 7, I have always had a very special place in my heart for any and all kinds of animals. I have housed and taken care of many animals in the past including puppies needing training, animals in need, oral medication and any pet looking for some extra exercise and lovin'. My partner in crime is my 12 year-old Mut, Denali, who I rescued when I was 17 in Puerto Rico. I have found, rescued and saved (meaning they saved me) over 20 animals in my life and hoping to return the favor by giving my heart and energy to any and all walks of life by doing something just as simple going on a walk or some company. I am very active and caring with my animals, and am more than happy to do the same with yours!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little. I’ve always had a dog in my house. From small dogs to big dogs. I have a friendly chocolate lab and she is the sweetest. I babysat all through high school and now I graduated and have been watching family dogs and friends dogs for a while. I take online classes through Daytona state so I have a lot of free time. I’m always home unless I’m running errands or at the beach. I’ve taken care of dogs who need to be walked 3x a day and dogs who need to just be let out to potty every few hours. Either way I am flexible.

“Rachel has been a life saver! We were in a pinch to find a place to watch our 12 week old puppy on days that we work at the same time and bringing our pup to Rachel's has been our best decision. Rachel is incredibly kind both with us and with our pup. She's very flexible, very responsive, and sends us pictures throughout the day so that we don't worry about her! We will definitely continue bringing Bailey to Rachel's!”

About: I have been a dog owner the last 28 years and most recently worked 13 months as a dog handler at a large pet resort. I have been around and handled lots of breeds, sizes and temperaments. I work from home as an entrepreneur and am available to care for pets staying in my home as if they are my own. I am also flexible in my schedule. I have turned my children's old play room into a dog room. It has its own entrance from a fenced in patio. I try my best to daily take every dog on 1 walk, one on one play time inside and outside. I also have a second space for a cozy private stay. The 6x9 Little Room is bright and a perfect spot for medium to small dogs to relax and play. I have space for dogs who are crate trained as well in my spare bedroom. While dogs are not allowed in my main living area — every dog room has its own exit outside. I treat every dog who stays with me as if it’s my own.

“Thank you to Steve for caring for Gracie on such short notice. She is a shy girl, but Steve and his family made her feel welcome and have a good day on her first visit. She will definitely request to stay again!”
“Heather was so good! I am a very anxious person when it comes to leaving my dog with someone, but I never had a doubt about her ability to take care of my dog. She did so good, and I could tell my dog was tired and had a good time after her visit. The pictures were absolutely precious, and some were very comical to look at. 10/10 will definitely book again!”

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, and I absolutely adore my own pets—Bailey and Mocha (my two sweet pups) and Delilah (my sassy cat) who are cozy at my parents home :) I know how hard it is to leave your pets home alone all day, especially when they need exercise, fresh air, and attention. That’s where I come in! Whether it’s a walk around your neighborhood or a fun trip to the park to play with other dogs, I’m here to make sure your pets get the activity and love they need—so it’s one less thing you have to worry about after a long day. Don’t want to use your lunch break to let your dog out? I’ve got it covered. Heading out of town for the weekend? Skip the kennel and let your pets stay cozy at home—I’ll be there to keep them company. Let’s give your pets the attention they deserve while making your life a little easier! I’m spending the summer back in the U.S. after living in Australia for the past two years, and I have plenty of free time to care for your pets! With a flexible schedule and a love for animals, I’m excited to help out while enjoying some quality time stateside. I treat every pet I care for the same way I’d want my own to be treated—with love, patience, and attention to their unique needs. Whether that means keeping them separated from other animals, sticking to their routines, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable, I’m always focused on giving them the care they deserve.
About: Animals are amazing and I’ve taken care of all kinds of furry friends for over 25 years. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe play with and love their pets knowing I’ll cover their tail(s) like I would my own. This gig is my only income at the moment. My schedule is wide open to care for your pup(s). Day or night and even on the fly. Just reach out! I have a fenced in yard and I work from home. I also have space for a crate if your pup needs to be crated.
“We were so thankful to find Brian for a last minute daycare request. He worked with our schedule and we were completely comfortable leaving the dogs. His fenced yard was enjoyed by the pups and he sent pics for us to see our four leggeds thru the day. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewater
Jen was great! This was Lily's very first time in daycare and Jen was super understanding and flexible. There were other dogs there that were very compatible just as she said they would be as she has had them before and knew all the personalities. Jen sent pics and made me feel extremely comfortable with my decision to leave Lily with her for the long day. Im keeping her # and will definitely be using her again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
