“Deborah was great! She’s responsive and provides updates. She was also flexible with our pick up/drop times since we were traveling. We would absolutely use her again!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Joanna! From the moment we connected, she was professional, kind, and truly passionate about caring for dogs. She took the time to understand my dog’s routine, personality, and needs, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout the stay, Joanna provided regular updates, photos, and notes that showed just how attentive and caring she is. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for — a true sign that he was treated like family. It’s rare to find someone as reliable, communicative, and genuinely compassionate as Joanna. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter. She’s exactly the kind of person you want caring for your pet. Thank you, Joanna, for going above and beyond!”

“We recently moved to the area and needed a great sitter to leave our little Sushi with. After reading Kristi’s excellent review,s we felt that she might be a good fit. And we were right! Kristi is terrific! She obviously loves her guests and treats them like her own pups. Her communication is great and she sent us lots of photos, which we really appreciated. And she clearly knows her stuff when it comes to caring for animals. Sushi is actually heading back next weekend! Thank you, Kristi!”

“Brian did an excellent job caring for our two girls for over a week. Our girls are big (90+ lbs each) and require much attention. He was attentive and loving with them. He also kept us updated and sent pics throughout their stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend.”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover with a safe, cozy home and a fenced-in yard where pups can run and play. I share my space with my 2.5 year old golden retriever, who is friendly and full of energy! The perfect playmate for visiting dogs! Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime in the yard, or just some cuddles on the couch, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll treat your dog like my own. I can host dogs of all sizes and ages, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions to keep your pup comfortable. I work from home, which means I’m around to give plenty of love and attention. I go on walks twice a day and enjoy playing ball in the yard during breaks. My golden retriever, Pepper, is sweet and gentle — she loves making new friends and gets along with all dogs I provide a safe, loving environment where your dog can feel at home. With a fenced yard, daily walks, and my gentle golden retriever, Pepper, your pup will get plenty of play, attention, and care. I follow each dog’s routine to keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life! My mom works at a veterinary clinic, so I’ve spent years around dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve also provided dog and cat sitting for several of the clinic’s clients, which has given me experience caring for pets in their own homes and keeping them comfortable while their families are away. I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for previous roommates and friends, caring for their cats and dogs whenever they traveled or needed an extra hand. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter boxes, basic medications and, of course, lots of attention and cuddles. I’m a Physician Assistant, so caring for others is already a huge part of who I am—and I’d love the chance to take care of your four-legged family members, too! I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with your pets, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I recently graduated from Physician Assistant school and am currently waiting for my PA license to be processed by the state before beginning my new career. Since that process can take some time, my schedule is currently very flexible and almost completely open! This gives me plenty of availability for pet sitting, drop-in visits, walks, and spending quality time with your pets. I’m happy to accommodate different schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and daytime visits, and I love that I get to spend this in-between time doing something I genuinely enjoy: caring for animals! I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and preferences, so I always follow the care instructions provided by their owner as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I want your pet to feel comfortable and keep their normal routine while you’re away. I’m happy to handle feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, medications, and plenty of cuddles and attention! I’m very respectful of both your pets and your home and will always make sure everything is clean, secure, and taken care of before I leave. I also know how reassuring it is to see that your pets are happy while you’re away, so I’m more than happy to send plenty of pictures and updates during each visit. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pets are being cared for, loved, and treated like they’re my own.
“Second time using Ms. Susan service and we are very satisfied. Ms. Susan is definitely a good person to trust your dogs. We will continue using her service and recommend Ms Susan to everyone”

“Bonnie is awesome. She let me know right away another dog she was keeping has fleas, and asked about Luke. Although Luke is up to date, he doesn’t have strong meds, due to seizures. Once she knew, she separated Luke from the other dog. We bathed Luke in mild dog shampoo for fleas. He was itching a little, but no fleas, so far. Bonnie is very conscientious & loving. We gave her $50 for tip, unaware we tip with rover. Thank you.”

“We recently hired Emily to take care of our three small dogs, Ava, Loki and Maverick, for a week while we were on vacation. From the start, Emily was very communicative, providing regular updates and adorable photos of Ava, Loki and enjoying their playtime outside and snuggling with her family in the evenings. Emily followed all the instructions regarding feeding and medication, and we could tell that they were well cared for when we returned home. We were very pleased with the service and would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. We will definitely be using Emily’s services again!”

“Janell is truly an angel and absolutely amazing with pets. She cared for my two pups, including a very senior dog who needed special attention. Janell took the time to meet with us beforehand to be sure it was a good fit, which immediately put me at ease. Throughout our time away, she went above and beyond with thoughtful daily updates and extra care, even noticing and tending to a sore when she realized my senior pup needed it. When we got home, my dogs barely seemed excited to see us, and it was clear how much they missed their routine with Janell! I am incredibly thankful we chose her, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough.”

“As usual, Shannon is just the best, and they always make sure our pups have a good time! This visit they even brought out a kiddy pool so the dogs could go swimming! And they are always tired out and super happy when we get them home! We highly recommend Shannon!💕”

Ryan is the best boarder I have had. She makes your dog feel like it’s her own. Rain-e loves going there, she used to have anxiety and drool but she knows once I turn the corner.. she is going to her happy place. Ryan is so accommodating and flexible which is a super bonus. I trust her 100% with my animals because I know they will get excellent care!!

Brian was fabulous! Not only was he communicative, he sent regular photos, was extremely responsive and most importantly took great care of our boy while we were gone for a week. We have already rebooked with Brian and likely will continue to do so. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Glencoe home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glencoe.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Glencoe sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
