Currently, I am available for drop ins and walks two times per day. This summer, my schedule is far more open and could easily fit additional times, as needed. I would follow whatever directions/guidelines are provided for me so that your pet(s) routines are kept as close to what they are used to as possible.

About: My whole life I have worked with animals from experience with my own pets, to working at shelters and animal sanctuaries, pet daycare and boarding with Animal Humane, and fostering pets with medical needs or are too young to be adopted. I work M-F 7am-3:30pm. I typically go home at lunch time so I can let your pet out for a mid-day potty break if needed. I live in a pet friendly apartment with hardwood floors just in case there’s any accidents. The neighborhood I live in is safe with nearby walking trails. I keep plenty of treats on hand and can work with your pets specific needs.

About: I have been working the past 2 years with dogs and older puppies, alongside of vet techs, veterinarians and a animal behavioral team. My daily tasks are keeping the dogs areas as clean and comfortable as possible, offering different forms of play and dietary enrichment, walks and singular play time. Previous work with livestock animals in Iowa. I use to help many of my friends care for their different pets. Familiar with rats, raccoons, variations of dog breeds and some birds. I'm a cat lady at home, but I love getting my dog fixes in when I can. I'm not timid with territorial or aggressive dogs, they typically just need a little extra time to share their space and feel safe with unfamiliar people. I work full time Sunday-Thursday. I get home around 6 pm. Could do a walk or a visit in the evening those days, otherwise I'm free Friday and Saturday. If I had a bigger space (I would have my own dog 😅) I would love to host a furry friend, but for now I can accommodate by visiting your companion in their home when you are in need. I also brush, nail trim and bathe dogs at work and have no problem helping out with that.

“Mikayla was very sweet with my kitty and took great care of him. I had previously started him on a new food before my trip was confirmed and he had diarrhea/ loose poop while I was gone. Mikayla kept me updated and cleaned up after him when he didnt make it to his box. I can’t say how much I appreciate her for taking such good care of him.”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors pets multiple times a year, and they’ve recommended me to other people in need of someone to watch their babies. Pet care fits into my life daily as I have 2 cats myself. I’m used to doing everything a pet needs, and I am extremely flexible about schedules. I watch my cats to make sure everything is good and healthy every day. I try to spend at least 20-30 minutes just spending time with them, and showing I’m there for them. I do this with clients pets as well.
