“August had a magic touch with dogs! I only moments he calmed my young dog and had her sitting quietly. August stepped in at a last minute emergency and worked with me when every day we didn’t know what was happening. All my pets were happy and well cared for. Thank you!”

About: Hi! I’m a caring, patient, and dependable pet lover. Since becoming an adult, I’ve been a devoted cat owner, and caring for my cat has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every pet has their own unique personality. After my husband and I started our family, we welcomed our own dog into our home. Caring for both a dog and a cat every day has given me hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, cleaning up after pets, and recognizing different behaviors and needs. My husband is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, and together we have built a stable, loving, and pet-friendly home. We understand that trusting someone else with your beloved pet is a big decision, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where every pet feels loved and at home. I believe pets are family, and I will always follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Whether it’s feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, or administering medication when needed, I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Because I believe every pet deserves individualized attention, I only accept the number of pets that I can safely and responsibly care for. My priority is always providing quality care—not just supervision. I would be honored to care for your furry family member as if they were one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pet. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or boarding, I make sure every pet gets the time, exercise, and attention they need. I respond to messages promptly and will do my best to accommodate your preferred schedule whenever possible. My husband and I have a stable, pet-friendly home where pets are treated like family. We currently have one friendly dog and one cat, so I’m experienced in caring for animals with different personalities and routines. I always follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any special care requests. I introduce pets thoughtfully, prioritize their comfort and safety, and provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident while you’re away.
“This review is quite delayed as I am still learning the Rover program. Rita was my pet sitter previous to my current one. She was amazing. She took care of my dog as though she was her own, kept me updated and took so many great pictures. I was so sad that she moved but hope she has continued to provide this care where she moved to.”
“She did amazing with our boys. Koda (the brown one) is diabetic and had a hard time recognizing her. She did great calming him and his brother down and administering insulin. Definitely going to book again!”

“I really love this girl! She showed up on time every day very attentive to my dogs. She was amazing. Spent time with him took him for a walk love on them. I would definitely hire her again.”

About: My name Christina, I have been around pets all my life. My daughter has been doing Rover for over 6 years and she absolutely loves it! So, I decided to sign up! When my daughter was moving back from Alabama to New Mexico, I took care of her cat and dog for about 3 weeks. I fed them, walked her dog and gave them plenty of love until she returned. I am fully vaccinated for Covid. My schedule fluctuates because I have a part time job and the hours vary. So, we can talk about the schedule prior to booking. I would love to take care of your fur babies because I would treat them like my grand babies like my daughters babies and give lots of loving and care while you are away. My daughters fur babies & their personalities: She cat and a dog. Tucker is the most laid back cat you will ever meet. You can literally carry him like a baby. He is great for introducing dogs that have never met cats before. **Please be mindful though, if your dog does not like cats. Please please please let me know that when you message me.* Yoshi is the only dog. Yoshi is a Shiba Inu who loves loves loves to play! I got Yoshi about 6 years ago. My pets are fully vaccinated and gets flee medication once a month. He is neutered. Yoshi, is a Shiba and if you know anything about Shiba's they can have temperamental personalities. Yoshi gets along with other dogs but on his time. He does not like over dominate/ over aggressive dogs. If your dog displays that, please be mindful, honest and upfront about the dynamics. “Jennifer was fantastic with our two cats and made them feel very comfortable while we were gone for roughly 5 days. One of our cats has pretty bad anxiety but she made them feel companionship and peace. Jennifer was flexible and made the best of some occasional circumstances outside of her control too, definitely would strongly recommend!!”

“Thank you, Tessa! My kitty cat looks so good, and everything around the house is in order. There’s plenty of food and water, and the litter box is clean. I was away for quite some time, and Tessa was a great help taking care of my little one. This is my second time booking her, and I’ll definitely book her again. Thank you so much!”

About: As a 60 year old I have had dogs my whole life. I love dogs and enjoy treating the ones I sit or care for as my own. I have a small house so am looking for one dog at a time. I will happily come to your home in the East Mountains to feed, play with/walk your pets as well. I have been a Rover sitter for 6 yrs and took a break for a couple. Now I am ready to start caring for dogs once again. I work at home and I have the freedom to come to your house to feed, let your dog out, take your dog for a walk, play and of course give lots of attention. Or if your pet is my house, I can fit in playtime, walks throughout the day, pets, snuggles, etc. Even though our yard is fenced, I will never let your dog off leash. I will be attentive when we are outside so that he/she does not run off, run after wildlife, or get into any mischief. We have cactus in the yard and I will be diligent in keeping your pet away from them! I will treat your pet as my own.

“Abigail was great with our two boys and also took good care of our house while we were out of town. She was reliably prompt and sent great pictures for each visit! One day when Sly was "missing" she reached out to us to ask about hiding spots, and sure enough Sly was being sly :)”

“Laurie was great with our dog. She was very attentive and made sure to keep us informed of everything that was going on during her visit visits. I would definitely use her again. Our dog is very timid and scared and she did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable while we were gone.”

Alexandria went above and beyond! She took the time to play fetch with my pup and even cleaned up all the poop from my yard which she by had do. I was so happy to come home to a clean yard and my doggo completely crashed and calm. She clearly has a very high work ethic and a love for people and animals that is hard to find these days. Highly highly recommend! Thank you Alexandria!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
