“Onrae is my very first Rover experience. Onrae responded quickly, professionally and was very responsive. I had concerns about my dogs behavior (he can be pretty high energy) Lucky for me Dashy was very well behaved at our meet and greet. After talking with Onrae a few minutes I had no concerns if Dashy did have any behavior issues staying there. When dropping off Dashy, he was excited to go in with the well mannered kids. I had prompt check in the next day. Basiclly Dashy did great and I had no concerned about his well being or about any behavior issues. Onrae is highly experienced and highly recommended. He's a no nonsense guy who seems to really care for dogs and client parents concerns. I will definately be using Onrae in the future!”

About: I have grown up with animals all my life. I had 2 dogs and 2 cats growing up and I currently have a German Shepard, Weiner dog, and 2 flat faced cats. I also have experience taking care of fish and reptiles. I just moved to ABQ from Atlanta. I love animals and would love to continue taking care of them out here. Our cats are very skittish, and do not really like strangers, but Misty did everything she could to socialize with the cats and make them comfortable. By the end of the stay, I believe the cats were not as afraid, and started warming up to her, which is a big accomplishment! She sent pictures and updates daily, and assured us that things were going well. She kindly agreed to feed and water the wild birds and rabbits, and even sent pictures of them. I deeply enjoy time spent with animals which is why housesitting has always been ideal for me! I myself have multiple dogs and cats that are well cared for and your animals will receive the same attention and care! I am a student at UNM, so most morning I do have to head to campus around 9-10 am. All morning care would be handled before then. My classes have me on campus no longer than 4-5 hours before I would be able to check on your animals. Weekends I work 6-9 hour shifts, but if care requires less gaps between visits this time can be taken off to give your pets around the clock care. This would require at minimum 2 weeks notice and cannot be guaranteed. I am comfortable giving pill or liquid medication for your pets. As well as walking any size dog as long as some leash training is in place. I normally will wash the sheets and towels used if staying overnight! I am very cleanly and will leave your home and pets clean or cleaner than when yall left!

About: A little about me: I’ve had a dog by my side every day since I was six years old — dogs are an integral part of my life, not just something I do on the side. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of every size, age, and temperament, from tiny lap dogs to a 90-pound Labrador, and from bouncy puppies to dogs in their older years. Experience: My deepest experience is with senior and special-needs dogs. My Labrador had a series of health challenges, including three separate leg surgeries. I nursed him through every recovery, which meant walking him with a support sling until he was back on his feet. When he was later diagnosed with cancer, I cared for him through hospice at home — giving his daily medications and keeping him comfortable and loved right to the end. So if your older dog needs medication, a little mobility help, or just extra patience and gentleness, that’s something I genuinely know how to do. I’m just as comfortable with high-energy dogs. That same Labrador was a handful in his younger years, so I know what it takes to keep a strong, active dog happy and well-exercised. I also love puppies and understand the patience and consistency they need. I’m happy to walk more than one dog at a time, and I have experience with leash-reactive dogs — I know how to keep walks calm, controlled, and low-stress for a dog who needs a little extra management. Right now I share my home with two girls — a 15-year-old Chihuahua mix and a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier — so both ends of the age spectrum are part of my daily routine. Before them I’ve cared for several terriers and a Border Collie mix, among others. I walk my own dogs every single day and I’ll keep yours on a good routine too. Availability: I work from home and set my own hours, so I’m around for your dog far more than the average sitter — and I can be flexible to fit your schedule. To give you a sense of how I run a day: my own dogs eat at 8am and 6pm, get a 20–40 minute walk in the evening, and I stay attentive throughout the day to when they need to go out. My younger dog gets dedicated playtime with her toys, and my senior girl gets her medication right on schedule every other day. I keep that same consistency and attention for any dog in my care — sticking to your dog's normal feeding, walking, medication, and potty routine so their world stays steady while you're away. I keep all doors and gates closed and latched, and I'm constantly aware of where your dog is — especially any time I'm heading in or out, so there's no chance of an escape. I follow whatever house rules and routines you set. I also treat your home with the same respect I give my own. When I dog-sat for family and friends, I kept their house tidy, watered their plants, and brought in mail while they were away. I will leave your home just as you left it, keep you updated with photos while you're gone, and communicate quickly about anything that comes up. About: I have owned dogs all of my life and understand that they are family members and should be treated as such! I love all dogs from big to small and young to old. While I do not have any pets of my own right now, I would love to help care for yours whether it be feeding, walking, playing, loving on them or more. About: I’ve taken care of my senior dog for four years before she passed away. This includes feeding, bathing, brushing, meeting her potty needs and walking. I also pet sit for two dogs when their owner is out of town. I work for a restaurant during the morning or afternoon shift for roughly 6 hours. I can work in between those times and I only have one shift a day. (Some days are completely open!) I am very good about respecting spaces and following directions.
