“Maellin was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter; she had excellent communication across the board. Sharing updates and photos of Navi every day. I could tell from the photos that she took such good care of her, Navi was smiling, and really warmed up to Maellin, which she doesn’t do with everyone. It was over the 4th, and Navi was quite nervous about the fireworks. Maellin took every measure to ensure her greatest ease and comfort, bringing her into their bedroom and turning on some background noise to help drown it out. Maellin is also a wonderfully sweet human; she will 100% be my first choice anytime we need care for Navi.”

“Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”

“This was our first time using the Rover service and Mark did not disappoint us. In the past we have used a great local kennel but due to concerns about the horrible canine virus circulating in several states last year we decided to try something different this trip. We paid a little more than we normally would have, but our dogs were less stressed due to the calmer environment (no other dogs, did not have to be crated at night) and the loving attention provided by Mark. Mark was great at sending daily updates and pics via messaging throughout the stay so that we could see how our pups were doing. I’m sure Mark stays pretty booked due to his loving care but we would definitely consider using his service again for futures needs, assuming he is available.”

About: I have grown up with animals all my life. I had 2 dogs and 2 cats growing up and I currently have a German Shepard, Weiner dog, and 2 flat faced cats. I also have experience taking care of fish and reptiles. I just moved to ABQ from Atlanta. I love animals and would love to continue taking care of them out here. I am free for drop in visits or house sitting. I would be able to drop by your house, feed the dogs and take them out to play and use the restroom. As for my own dogs, I train them myself with no shock collar or crate.

About: Since a kid I've been surrounded by dogs. I was taught young how to care for and interact with them. Since then I've always had pets and made sure they lived the best lives they possibly could. While I don't have any sort of specialized skills when it comes to pet care I do have plenty of experience. The majority of my adult life has been spent in the military and security industry. Giving me the required skills to provide a safe and secure environment for your fur child. I am currently working part time with a very open schedule. I'm free most days except from the times of 5pm to 8pm usually. Leaving me plenty of time to check on your pets. I have an enclosed yard with two dogs at home. One small and one big. Having shared my home with more than 30 dogs of my own, I have fostered close more than 50, most recently senior, special needs, and medically fragile dogs. I also transport rescue dogs once a month from Texas to Utah. If you have dogs with special needs, medical issues, or healthy dogs, I'll take care of them with skill, patience, and love. Boarding or Day Care: While I'm happy to take all dogs over 25 lbs, I have an affinity for large, XL, and giant dogs. My home has XXL dog doors, dog beds, and 3 acres of fenced yard.

About: After having three dogs for many years, I am an expert at walking more than one--with expandable leashes, it's like flying three kites at once! In addition to long (or short) walks, I also like snuggling with pups on the couch. I currently have one 20-pound pup who gets along with almost all other dogs and loves having guests. For boarding and daycare, a meet and greet is a must. I have a very flexible work schedule and I mostly work from my home. I love taking frequent walks and petting dogs throughout the workday. I do not have a yard but like taking walks at all times of day, so your pup can still get plenty of exercise. I am familiar with senior dog care and am comfortable giving pills, following special diets, etc.

I’ve never met a pet-care challenge I couldn’t find a solution to. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m patient and willing to figure out what works best for them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, livestock, and critters of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including experience working at an animal hospital where I cared for boarding animals, newborn puppies and kittens, and pets who needed a little extra patience and attention. I also have plenty of personal experience with animals who have behavioral challenges, which has taught me to be observant, patient, and adaptable. Pet sitting is something I do on the side while I’m in school and working as a barista. My shifts are generally around six hours, and my classes are online, so I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to the animals in my care. I genuinely love animals and take their safety and happiness seriously. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise and playtime, a specific routine, extra patience, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to work with them and find what makes them comfortable. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting depending on my schedule. I do my best to give every pet plenty of attention rather than rushing through visits. If your pet has a specific routine, feeding schedule, medication, or other needs, I’m happy to work around it and keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client's, I prioritize a safe and structured environment tailored to each pet's individual needs. In client homes, I am trusted with overnight stays and have consistently managed multiple animals without any issues, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well-cared-for in their familiar surroundings. In my own home, I adhere to a disciplined routine, particularly with dogs, to maintain a sense of order and security. This includes scheduled feeding times, walks, and play sessions, which helps in managing their energy levels and maintaining their health. My cat, Beans, enjoys a more flexible routine, which suits her independent nature. She's free to set her own pace throughout the day, though I ensure her needs for interaction and care are met. Overall, my approach is based on respect, patience, and attentiveness to the unique personality and requirements of each pet, ensuring they feel loved and at ease under my care.

“Maellin was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter; she had excellent communication across the board. Sharing updates and photos of Navi every day. I could tell from the photos that she took such good care of her, Navi was smiling, and really warmed up to Maellin, which she doesn’t do with everyone. It was over the 4th, and Navi was quite nervous about the fireworks. Maellin took every measure to ensure her greatest ease and comfort, bringing her into their bedroom and turning on some background noise to help drown it out. Maellin is also a wonderfully sweet human; she will 100% be my first choice anytime we need care for Navi.”

“Apollo can be a handful with his anxiety and reactivity, and Bri handled it beautifully. They had a rocky first night, because he kept barking at every small noise. After several hours of this, he had her a bit worried about whether or not she could get him to settle down and sleep. But she stuck with it and got him to calm down and pass out. From there the visit went great. She followed our feeding and medication instructions exactly, worked on some training with him during his stay, and did a nice job with redirecting his attention when he got reactive on walks. Communication was excellent throughout. I received regular photos and updates, and she flagged any concerns as they came up rather than letting them sit. The best sign of how the weekend went: at pickup, Apollo planted himself on and between her feet multiple times while we were talking about how the weekend went. He clearly trusts and adores her, which can be difficult given his anxiety. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!”
