“Jessie took great care of my dog and kept me updated daily. She even gave my dog a bath and got food for him when he ran out. She has the perfect yard for a dog tonrun around in.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Maellen. They took amazing care of my dog while I was away and treated them like family. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing my pup was happy, safe, and well-loved. Kumar came back relaxed and content, which says it all! Reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely caring—I would highly recommend Maellen to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter.”

“Rosalia was amazing! She kept me updated all day with messages & tons of cute pictures. My dog looked happy and loved all the cuddles given to her. Her dog Kiki was such a good girl too, she didn't mind sharing the attention. If I lived in Albuquerque, I'd totally book Rosalia everytime!”

“Great communication with text and pictures daily she took extra special care of our pup! She made him feel loved! Would definitely book again and recommend to others!”

“Anne is awesome! She made me feel completely comfortable with leaving my 17 month Mini Aussie Shepherd for the weekend. She sent me pics of him playing with the other puppies ?. I have already recommended her to my friends.”

“This is the first time I’ve used Rover and I really lucked out by selecting Bonni JN. as my boarder/sitter. My dog Murphy throughly enjoyed her stay, was well cared for and bonded immediately with Bonni’s dog and the two other smaller dogs she was sitting. Bonni was very thoughtful in texting me pictures of how Murphy was doing and reported to me everyday how she was eating, sleeping, and getting along with the other dogs. I will definitely be a repeat customer, in fact I have another reservation with Bonni in about a week. I highly recommend Bonni if you want peace of mind that your dog is well cared for.”

“Chad provides a safe environment! My dog got along with his dog right away, which doesn’t always happen. The dogs have a great big backyard to play in, they don’t go for walks normally. Mentioning because if you want that you need to talk to Chad to arrange it. Chad agreed not to crate my dog which is good because he hasn’t been in a crate in years, and Max seems in good health when I picked him up, moved pretty good for a senior dog.”

“Second time using Onrae and was just as pleased as I was the first time. Sent daily updates and videos so I could see that Daisy was being very well looked after. Highly recommend and will use him again”

“Josie, Peter & Paco treated my pup so well while I was out of town! They were super flexible and made my dog feel right at home- I’ve really never seen him so comfortable in someone else’s space! I got plenty of updates and my dog is tuckered out from all of his playtime. Definitely will be booking with them again next time we are out of town, so glad to have found them through Rover.”
“Cecilia was an excellent last minute sitter for my dog for the weekend. She was communicative and provided lots of photo updates each day. I know he was loved and cared for in my absence.”

“Our flight got canceled which pushed us back a whole day, but Brian was so accommodating and flexible with his schedule that he was able to watch Maverick for another day. We’re always happy with Brian and the attention he shows to Maverick, and Maverick is always so happy to see Brian and his doggies. We’ll definitely continue to bring Maverick back!”

“Sophie is so nice, gentle, accommodating, & a wonderful pup care-giver. Plus she sent an update and cute photos every day. We couldn't ask for anything more & will definitely use her again if she is available.”

“Mike is an incredible Rover and I would highly recommend him for any type of dog. Beaux had such a great time and I can’t thank you enough for watching him”

“Crystal was amazing! She was extremely quick to communicate and gave me updates throughout Emma‘s stay with her. Emma almost didn’t wanna leave ! Would highly recommend her to anyone in the area!”

“Pat took care of my shy senior dog and treated her like a member of her family. Made sure to clarify my dog’s routines/preferences before the stay and provided timely updates. It felt good knowing my pup was in great hands.”
“Michael watched our fur baby for 13 days. She is approx. 14 yrs old, and we were worried about leaving her for such a long period of time. Michael's calm and easy demeanor was reassurance that she would be fine. She does not get along with other animals and as the only pet Michael watched he was able to provide her with individual attention. He sent photos daily, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely use his services again. Michael, thank you for taking such good care of our family member!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sandia Park
Another EXCELLENT visit with Julia for our Charlie!! We are are grateful for how easily he has settled in at Julia's due to her great work with him. It is a big treat for him to spend time with her and he knows the way to her place- he gets so excited on our way there. And he loves her dogs, comfortable home, and her beautiful setting. We are impressed by her warm and thoughtful and calm and insightful approach to Charlie (older dog with lots of affection needs). Charlie and Julia have formed a wonderful bond. And her frequent communication gives us many smiles and joy while we are away.

We are delighted with Julia's attentive kindness and skillful care of our Charlie, an older big dog who can run pretty anxious in a new environment. Not that you would know it from her great work with him. We greatly appreciated her frequently staying in touch with us with photos and updates which are descriptive enough that we can really visualize how things are going for him. It's clear that he feels happy to be with Julia and her dogs, and he's comfortable even on this very first visit with her! Looking forward to him staying with Julia, Montana, and Drummer again.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
