“Wow! I’m super please and grateful for Dante! Life has been so busy with the birth of our new baby that we haven’t had much time to give one on one attention to our fur baby, Mia. Dante treated her so sweet, like she wa done of his own. She is 13 years old and he used our stroller to take her on her fav thing to do… walks around the neighborhood. Dante was on time, respectful, professional, and I would trust him with my fur baby Mia any day. He was super mindful of her needs. Will book again !”

About: After having three dogs for many years, I am an expert at walking more than one--with expandable leashes, it's like flying three kites at once! In addition to long (or short) walks, I also like snuggling with pups on the couch. I currently have one 20-pound pup who gets along with almost all other dogs and loves having guests. For boarding and daycare, a meet and greet is a must. I have a very flexible work schedule and I mostly work from my home. I love taking frequent walks and petting dogs throughout the workday. I do not have a yard but like taking walks at all times of day, so your pup can still get plenty of exercise. I am familiar with senior dog care and am comfortable giving pills, following special diets, etc.

“Montgomery’s experience with animals was so appreciated when she spent time with our two dogs. Both are giant breeds and have been rescued. With one, we are working on anxiety and meeting people. So, Montgomery’s speciality behavioural training with dogs was wonderful to know about and see in action when she met and spent time with both dogs. We were impressed with her attention to detail and questions asked. The most important aspect was how comfortable and easily our dogs adapted to her and paid attention to her. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to having Montgomery take care of our dogs again.”

About: I have owned dogs all of my life and understand that they are family members and should be treated as such! I love all dogs from big to small and young to old. While I do not have any pets of my own right now, I would love to help care for yours whether it be feeding, walking, playing, loving on them or more. I am currently off for the summer leaving me plenty of time to care for your pets. From August to May, I work 2 days a week so I will still have plenty of availability. I have two daughters who live with me part time ages 9 and 7 who love pets as well. I would love to care for your pets as you see fit in your home! About: It’s my goal to provide the pets under my watch with the best care possible. It’s important to me that my clients have peace of mind concerning their pets so that they can enjoy their vacation or business trip worry free. I message, send pictures, and provide videos often towards that goal. I gladly give their pups all the love and attention they want. Truthfully, I just love dogs and love their company. I’ve had dogs and all sorts of other pets my whole life. They will get plenty of attention from me and my wife since We are retired and typically home all day and night every day. Currently I have no dog of my own and one reason I do this is because I enjoy their companionship. I also do not care for dogs from other families at the same time. So, your pup or pups will be getting our full attention without worry of conflict with another animal. I have a high concrete block fence all the way around the grass back yard where we go out often for fresh air, play, and potty. Them potty, not me. I keep your pet indoors with me mostly but give them potty breaks and play time often during the day and night. I do not leave them alone outside. And if we go for a walk or to the park, they will always be on their leash and we avoid other animals which may be out. We tend to be tranquil low energy home bodies. So a pet with a lot of energy or one that needs daily walks and exercise may not be a good fit. Since I am retired, I will be with your pup pretty much 24/7. My wife will be helping me as well so it’s highly unlikely we would ever leave them alone. If we do need to run a quick errand and we can take them with us, we usually will. It’s my priority to provide your pup(s) with a happy, safe, and healthy experience. It is only my wife and I so my home is quiet and calm. I have a grass yard for play and potty breaks. There is a high brick fence around the yard. There’s not much in the house for them to get in trouble over. The floors are easy to clean in case of accidents. Between visits I thoroughly clean and disinfect the floors, furniture, rugs, patio, and even the yard with animal safe solutions to insure the health of your pets.

I received pictures at every visit, and he even helped me with dog poo, which was a task! I will recommend him to anyone that ever needs a sitter and request him again and again. He made traveling so much easier. I couldn’t ask for better, more communicative, or more thoughtful! Thank you SO much!”

About: I’ve been lucky enough to build relationships with returning Rover clients, and I’m always happy when people trust me to care for their pets again. I’ve never met a pet-care challenge I couldn’t find a solution to. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m patient and willing to figure out what works best for them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, livestock, and critters of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including experience working at an animal hospital where I cared for boarding animals, newborn puppies and kittens, and pets who needed a little extra patience and attention. I also have plenty of personal experience with animals who have behavioral challenges, which has taught me to be observant, patient, and adaptable. Pet sitting is something I do on the side while I’m in school and working as a barista. My shifts are generally around six hours, and my classes are online, so I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to the animals in my care. I genuinely love animals and take their safety and happiness seriously. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise and playtime, a specific routine, extra patience, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to work with them and find what makes them comfortable. I’d love the opportunity to meet your pets and give them the same care and attention I’d want for my own! 🐾 My Schedule 🐾 I have a pretty flexible schedule since I’m currently a student with online classes and work part-time as a barista. My work shifts are generally around 6 hours, and my schedule varies from week to week. I’m happy to work with you ahead of time to find dates and times that work for both of us. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting depending on my schedule. I do my best to give every pet plenty of attention rather than rushing through visits. If your pet has a specific routine, feeding schedule, medication, or other needs, I’m happy to work around it and keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. Because my availability can change week to week, please message me before booking so I can confirm that I’m available for the dates and times you need! When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client's, I prioritize a safe and structured environment tailored to each pet's individual needs. In client homes, I am trusted with overnight stays and have consistently managed multiple animals without any issues, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well-cared-for in their familiar surroundings. In my own home, I adhere to a disciplined routine, particularly with dogs, to maintain a sense of order and security. This includes scheduled feeding times, walks, and play sessions, which helps in managing their energy levels and maintaining their health. My cat, Beans, enjoys a more flexible routine, which suits her independent nature. She's free to set her own pace throughout the day, though I ensure her needs for interaction and care are met. Overall, my approach is based on respect, patience, and attentiveness to the unique personality and requirements of each pet, ensuring they feel loved and at ease under my care.

About: I’ve lived with and cared for dogs all my life. In fact, my mother used to throw fits when she'd wake to find that I'd snuck out of my room at night to sleep in the dog house with the hounds! Having shared my home with more than 30 dogs of my own, I have fostered close more than 50, most recently senior, special needs, and medically fragile dogs. I also transport rescue dogs once a month from Texas to Utah. If you have dogs with special needs, medical issues, or healthy dogs, I'll take care of them with skill, patience, and love. Boarding or Day Care: While I'm happy to take all dogs over 25 lbs, I have an affinity for large, XL, and giant dogs. My home has XXL dog doors, dog beds, and 3 acres of fenced yard.

About: I’ve taken care of different types of animals for 7+ years. I lived on a farm where I was relied on to care for dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens. I have also attended dog training classes for service and good behavior training using strictly positive reinforcement. As a full-time hybrid online student, my schedule is extremely flexible so that I can build it around your fuzzy family to provide the quality care you and they deserve! About: Updated 7/26. I have a great amount of experience with dogs & many animals. I have been taking care of mostly dogs for 9 years now. I have experience with horses and cows as well. I professionally boarded dogs in my past homes in Hawaii and Washington, d.c. I made bonds with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, & genders. I always adapt to each dog as they are unique. I am always striving to make them as comfy & stress free as possible in my care. I also enjoy living an active lifestyle & seeing a dogs smile while on a walk adds to my day. I like to make dogs feel as though they are on vacation, yet I enforce what my clients do in their own homes to maintain. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make our experience better. I look forward to connecting with you & your pet! If we are not able to do a Meet & Greet... I understand last minute things come up. If there is a time where we are not able to meet, I will ask questions about your animal through Rover. I am comfortable asking questions & you answering them honestly over message before drop off. We can also Facetime or Zoom if you would like to and/or prefer. I do work full time alongside taking care of pets. I am willing to help and accommodate when possible. Message to discuss details. Thank you! I take care of any and all pets as if they are my own. Animals are the most innocent and loving beings that deserve the world for their short lived lives.

Alexandria went above and beyond! She took the time to play fetch with my pup and even cleaned up all the poop from my yard which she by had do. I was so happy to come home to a clean yard and my doggo completely crashed and calm. She clearly has a very high work ethic and a love for people and animals that is hard to find these days. Highly highly recommend! Thank you Alexandria!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Sandia Park stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sandia Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Sandia Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sandia Park. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
