Daniel is so good! I can't recommend him enough. He loves on my dogs and treats them like his own. They don't get stressed at all when I need to go out of because they aren't cooped up in a kennel with lots of other dogs. They are at home sleeping in their beds and loving the attention Daniel showers on them. Gives me peace of mind knowing they are in good hands.

About: DOG LOVER! I was born to make dogs happy. I have always grown up with a dog in our home. I personally trained our parent's dog by reading books on dog training and dog psychology. I am working remotely so I will be present in the house most of the time. I provide a strong attention and interaction with dog(s). The backyard is a medium size, completely enclosed. No other dogs are around. Also, I have security cameras so we can monitor them in the house if we are out. Dogs are allowed to chill on the couch.

About: I’ve had my own dogs and cats and have taken care of pets for friends and neighbors. I’ve also helped out on farms. I’m experienced with taking care of doggies, cats, horses, and goats. Enjoy spending time with animals and am happy getting to know yours :) I have a flexible job which makes it easy to take care of animals if anything should arise midday. I am available for overnight care and am open on weekends. I have a roommate who’s allergic to dogs, so I can only board cats. I am available for overnight care for dogs in their homes. Every pet is different, and I enjoy getting to know animals and meeting them where they’re at.

About: I’ve been lucky enough to build relationships with returning Rover clients, and I’m always happy when people trust me to care for their pets again. I’ve never met a pet-care challenge I couldn’t find a solution to. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m patient and willing to figure out what works best for them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, livestock, and critters of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including experience working at an animal hospital where I cared for boarding animals, newborn puppies and kittens, and pets who needed a little extra patience and attention. I also have plenty of personal experience with animals who have behavioral challenges, which has taught me to be observant, patient, and adaptable. Pet sitting is something I do on the side while I’m in school and working as a barista. My shifts are generally around six hours, and my classes are online, so I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to the animals in my care. I genuinely love animals and take their safety and happiness seriously. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise and playtime, a specific routine, extra patience, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to work with them and find what makes them comfortable. I’d love the opportunity to meet your pets and give them the same care and attention I’d want for my own! 🐾 My Schedule 🐾 I have a pretty flexible schedule since I’m currently a student with online classes and work part-time as a barista. My work shifts are generally around 6 hours, and my schedule varies from week to week. I’m happy to work with you ahead of time to find dates and times that work for both of us. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting depending on my schedule. I do my best to give every pet plenty of attention rather than rushing through visits. If your pet has a specific routine, feeding schedule, medication, or other needs, I’m happy to work around it and keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. Because my availability can change week to week, please message me before booking so I can confirm that I’m available for the dates and times you need! When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client's, I prioritize a safe and structured environment tailored to each pet's individual needs. In client homes, I am trusted with overnight stays and have consistently managed multiple animals without any issues, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well-cared-for in their familiar surroundings. In my own home, I adhere to a disciplined routine, particularly with dogs, to maintain a sense of order and security. This includes scheduled feeding times, walks, and play sessions, which helps in managing their energy levels and maintaining their health. My cat, Beans, enjoys a more flexible routine, which suits her independent nature. She's free to set her own pace throughout the day, though I ensure her needs for interaction and care are met. Overall, my approach is based on respect, patience, and attentiveness to the unique personality and requirements of each pet, ensuring they feel loved and at ease under my care.

About: I don’t really have any restrictions on what I can handle, I’m used to taking care of elderly dogs, and having to cater to specialized diets or even mobility issues. But I have also cared for very energetic puppies, and middle-age dogs who just need to get out of the house or have a little companionship. I am a student athlete however, I do tend to have a lot of free time in the midday to afternoon range and on the weekends. I have two other very friendly dogs, and a large fenced in yard that is also close to a lot of other walking paths and parks. There is also plenty of space in my house in order to for dogs to be kept separately if they are not friendly, or cater to other needs such as crates.

About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals as I lived on a farm for a good chunk of my life. I will do the best that I can do to take care of your furry one! I am working full time and I am also a student, but I make sure all pets are taken care of first no matter what. I do live in an apartment by myself with another small dog and cat. They are great with other animals and we have a big backyard to sunbathe roam around in. Anything you may need done in your own home, I can most certainly do too.

About: I have been around animals my whole life and I love to take care of them and make sure they are always happy and healthy. Right now I have an open schedule. I’d love to help out with your fur baby anytime until I get myself a full time job. Animals will always be safe around me and I will always make sure they’re comfortable depending on what their comfort is, whether it’s at my house or the clients.

About: From fostering a Great Dane and her seven puppies to caring for my own aging dog sick with cancer, I can care for animals at any stage. I’m newish on Rover, but I have been traveling and pet sitting all over the country, so my reviews are on Trusted House Sitter for reference. I look forward to chatting! I work during the week and remotely at times, so I have flexibility to accommodate any schedule. I have a car and can transport wherever. It’s just me and my dog in my apartment, but we have a first floor with a small yard out front that Kesey likes to sunbathe in. All the neighbors stop and say hello.

About: Hi, I'm Marissa! Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for over 10 years, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet's unique personality. Whether your dog loves long walks and playtime or your cat prefers a quiet companion and extra cuddles, I make it my goal to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, including pets with special needs and medication schedules. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I take the time to follow your instructions closely so they can enjoy consistency and feel right at home. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family members. I'll treat your pets like they're my own, with plenty of attention, affection, and personalized care. Whether we're going on walks, playing fetch, enjoying cuddle time, or simply keeping each other company, you can count on me to provide reliable, loving care and regular updates for your peace of mind. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day. My flexible schedule allows me to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while keeping them on their usual routine and making them feel right at home. During drop-in visits and walks, I treat each pet with patience, kindness, and respect. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep pets on their normal routine, and always make sure they have fresh water, attention, playtime, potty breaks, and a safe, comfortable experience. I’m also careful with leashes, doors, gates, and any home-specific instructions so pet parents can feel confident their pets are in good hands.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edgewood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Edgewood with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
