“Laurie was great with our dog. She was very attentive and made sure to keep us informed of everything that was going on during her visit visits. I would definitely use her again. Our dog is very timid and scared and she did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable while we were gone.”

“She took care of our pup so well and played with him. So thankful we found Jennifer! She was very responsive and friendly. Definitely will have her back!”

About: I’ve had my own dogs and cats and have taken care of pets for friends and neighbors. I’ve also helped out on farms. I’m experienced with taking care of doggies, cats, horses, and goats. Enjoy spending time with animals and am happy getting to know yours :) I have a flexible job which makes it easy to take care of animals if anything should arise midday. I am available for overnight care and am open on weekends. I have a roommate who’s allergic to dogs, so I can only board cats. I am available for overnight care for dogs in their homes. Every pet is different, and I enjoy getting to know animals and meeting them where they’re at.
“Izabella was wonderful!! She's super responsive, an excellent communicator, and has a lovely and warm personality. She took great care of my special needs chihuahua while I was out of town, and I look forward to booking her in the future.”

About: DOG LOVER! I was born to make dogs happy. I have always grown up with a dog in our home. I personally trained our parent's dog by reading books on dog training and dog psychology. I am working remotely so I will be present in the house most of the time. I provide a strong attention and interaction with dog(s). The backyard is a medium size, completely enclosed. No other dogs are around. Also, I have security cameras so we can monitor them in the house if we are out. Dogs are allowed to chill on the couch.
“Such an amazing person to work with! Super dependable, great communication, goes above and beyond in every way imaginable. We had an emergency with my cat and Joy was amazing. She was communicating through every step and handled the situation easily. 100% would recommend!”

“Lorenzo was great with my fearful German shepherd. He was patient and followed all of the care instructions I left. Overall very responsive and communicative. Thank you Lorenzo!”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I have had two registered therapy dogs and have house sat for numerous families. I love all dogs and just want them to be cared for whi families enjoy their time away I’m retired so I have an open schedule and am free for days or weeks depending on your needs. I can housework or host. Just let me know anytime I have a gated yard as well as doggie door access and don’t really crate animals. I let them run free in the house unless otherwise specified

“Will 100% use Mariah again! She provided detailed updates & photos, took my dog for walks & play time. Communication was great and I’m confident my dog was well cared for by Mariah while I was out of town.”

About: I don’t really have any restrictions on what I can handle, I’m used to taking care of elderly dogs, and having to cater to specialized diets or even mobility issues. But I have also cared for very energetic puppies, and middle-age dogs who just need to get out of the house or have a little companionship. I am a student athlete however, I do tend to have a lot of free time in the midday to afternoon range and on the weekends. I have two other very friendly dogs, and a large fenced in yard that is also close to a lot of other walking paths and parks. There is also plenty of space in my house in order to for dogs to be kept separately if they are not friendly, or cater to other needs such as crates.

About: I have owned several dogs and cats dating back to 1992 when I was a teenager. Dogs of all shapes and sizes have been under my care and daily walks or playing around the house is a regular activity in my household. On a regular day, we take daily walks around 4.2 miles. Also we do play days at the parked fenced in 3-4 times a week. I have a fenced in backyard part large to run around in and play. No pool or hot tub just a dry pond no fish! Plenty of room for shade and to potty as well no grass just dirt easy for cleaning up after the dogs!
“Emma did well and I have told her I will have another assignment for her in the early part of 2025. My only wishes are that she remember next time to pick up all the newspapers in my driveway each day and to give Cisco the Fresh Pet supplement.”

About: Growing up in a household with pets, I grew to understand them. Not only have I been around cats and dogs, I have also House sat for neighbors, friends, and family and looked after horses, bunnies, chickens, and birds. My main goal is to make sure they are living a happy and healthy life. I am currently working graveyards, but wanting to make pet sitting a full time job. Anywhere from 6am to 6pm I am free to house sit. I live in an apartment, my cat has free range of the place. In clients homes, they have fenced backyards, doggy doors to go in and out as they please. Some will have specific feeding routines I will stick to as in their pets eating in different rooms, or preparing their meals differently. I will play with them if they're in the mood and be active with them outside to release any sort of energy they have.
About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. Providing the love and care to other dogs while you’re away is my priority! To give you the peace of mind your fur baby is both physically and mentally stimulated during our time together. I am very active, love going on hikes and finding new parks in the area! I am in the end of my surgical residency making my schedule relatively flexible. While I am unable to have a dog of my own full time, I can care and love for others in the mean time! While I do live in an apartment, there is a park with walking trails right across the street that I walk daily. Staying active is an essential part of my life!
About: I have been around animals my whole life and I love to take care of them and make sure they are always happy and healthy. Right now I have an open schedule. I’d love to help out with your fur baby anytime until I get myself a full time job. Animals will always be safe around me and I will always make sure they’re comfortable depending on what their comfort is, whether it’s at my house or the clients.
About: From fostering a Great Dane and her seven puppies to caring for my own aging dog sick with cancer, I can care for animals at any stage. I’m newish on Rover, but I have been traveling and pet sitting all over the country, so my reviews are on Trusted House Sitter for reference. I look forward to chatting! I work during the week and remotely at times, so I have flexibility to accommodate any schedule. I have a car and can transport wherever. It’s just me and my dog in my apartment, but we have a first floor with a small yard out front that Kesey likes to sunbathe in. All the neighbors stop and say hello.

I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, including pets with special needs and medication schedules. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I take the time to follow your instructions closely so they can enjoy consistency and feel right at home. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day. My flexible schedule allows me to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while keeping them on their usual routine and making them feel right at home. During drop-in visits and walks, I treat each pet with patience, kindness, and respect. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep pets on their normal routine, and always make sure they have fresh water, attention, playtime, potty breaks, and a safe, comfortable experience. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
