Alison is great! She is reliable and caring. She sent pictures during every visit. I have one very friendly cat and one very skittish cat who hides from everyone. Alison even checked on my skittish kitty who hid from her and sent a pic of her too.

About: My name Christina, I have been around pets all my life. My daughter has been doing Rover for over 6 years and she absolutely loves it! So, I decided to sign up! When my daughter was moving back from Alabama to New Mexico, I took care of her cat and dog for about 3 weeks. I fed them, walked her dog and gave them plenty of love until she returned. I am fully vaccinated for Covid. My schedule fluctuates because I have a part time job and the hours vary. So, we can talk about the schedule prior to booking. I would love to take care of your fur babies because I would treat them like my grand babies like my daughters babies and give lots of loving and care while you are away. My daughters fur babies & their personalities: She cat and a dog. Tucker is the most laid back cat you will ever meet. You can literally carry him like a baby. He is great for introducing dogs that have never met cats before. **Please be mindful though, if your dog does not like cats. Please please please let me know that when you message me.* Yoshi is the only dog. Yoshi is a Shiba Inu who loves loves loves to play! I got Yoshi about 6 years ago. My pets are fully vaccinated and gets flee medication once a month. He is neutered. Yoshi, is a Shiba and if you know anything about Shiba's they can have temperamental personalities. Yoshi gets along with other dogs but on his time. He does not like over dominate/ over aggressive dogs. If your dog displays that, please be mindful, honest and upfront about the dynamics. Your animals are top priority when it comes to safety as well as my daughter animals. Cancellation Policy: If you book a stay with me. You will have 3-days before the start of the stay to cancel to get a full refund. If you cancel after the 3-days, you will be refunded 50% of the stay. The the 3-day policy in place, because I value your time and mine as well. I understand when unforeseen things happen. When I commit to booking with you, I decline all other bookings if the other booking dates conflict with your booking date to ensure that your animals will receive the best care. If you cancel after, I will not be able to recover from the other bookings in a short time span. This is first on my bio so you completely understand what the cancellation process is, so you can prepare for it ahead of time. Thank you in advance for understanding. First book, first serve: When booking for my services, I implement a first come, first serve service. More like first book, first serve. If a booking request is sent to me but not paid for in full, the booking is still pending. Meaning the dates requested will still be open for another client to book. If I receive a booking and it is completely booked and paid for then those dates will be blocked off my calendar to ensure that another client can't book during those dates. About: Hi! I’m a caring, patient, and dependable pet lover. Since becoming an adult, I’ve been a devoted cat owner, and caring for my cat has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every pet has their own unique personality. After my husband and I started our family, we welcomed our own dog into our home. Caring for both a dog and a cat every day has given me hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, cleaning up after pets, and recognizing different behaviors and needs. My husband is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, and together we have built a stable, loving, and pet-friendly home. We understand that trusting someone else with your beloved pet is a big decision, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where every pet feels loved and at home. I believe pets are family, and I will always follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Whether it’s feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, or administering medication when needed, I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Because I believe every pet deserves individualized attention, I only accept the number of pets that I can safely and responsibly care for. My priority is always providing quality care—not just supervision. I would be honored to care for your furry family member as if they were one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pet. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or boarding, I make sure every pet gets the time, exercise, and attention they need. I respond to messages promptly and will do my best to accommodate your preferred schedule whenever possible. My husband and I have a stable, pet-friendly home where pets are treated like family. We currently have one friendly dog and one cat, so I’m experienced in caring for animals with different personalities and routines. I always follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any special care requests. I introduce pets thoughtfully, prioritize their comfort and safety, and provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident while you’re away.

We hired Levi to watch our cats while gone for 3 weeks out of the country. He did multiple daily checks that involved several tasks, including litter management, feeding, playing, and also took care of our plants. He was easy to get ahold of and is great to work with. Will definitely be using him again.

About: I’ve lived with and cared for dogs all my life. In fact, my mother used to throw fits when she'd wake to find that I'd snuck out of my room at night to sleep in the dog house with the hounds! Having shared my home with more than 30 dogs of my own, I have fostered close more than 50, most recently senior, special needs, and medically fragile dogs. I also transport rescue dogs once a month from Texas to Utah. If you have dogs with special needs, medical issues, or healthy dogs, I'll take care of them with skill, patience, and love. Boarding or Day Care: While I'm happy to take all dogs over 25 lbs, I have an affinity for large, XL, and giant dogs. My home has XXL dog doors, dog beds, and 3 acres of fenced yard.

About: I’ve been lucky enough to build relationships with returning Rover clients, and I’m always happy when people trust me to care for their pets again. I’ve never met a pet-care challenge I couldn’t find a solution to. Every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m patient and willing to figure out what works best for them. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, livestock, and critters of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including experience working at an animal hospital where I cared for boarding animals, newborn puppies and kittens, and pets who needed a little extra patience and attention. I also have plenty of personal experience with animals who have behavioral challenges, which has taught me to be observant, patient, and adaptable. Pet sitting is something I do on the side while I’m in school and working as a barista. My shifts are generally around six hours, and my classes are online, so I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to the animals in my care. I genuinely love animals and take their safety and happiness seriously. Whether your pet needs lots of exercise and playtime, a specific routine, extra patience, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to work with them and find what makes them comfortable. I’d love the opportunity to meet your pets and give them the same care and attention I’d want for my own! 🐾 My Schedule 🐾 I have a pretty flexible schedule since I’m currently a student with online classes and work part-time as a barista. My work shifts are generally around 6 hours, and my schedule varies from week to week. I’m happy to work with you ahead of time to find dates and times that work for both of us. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting depending on my schedule. I do my best to give every pet plenty of attention rather than rushing through visits. If your pet has a specific routine, feeding schedule, medication, or other needs, I’m happy to work around it and keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. Because my availability can change week to week, please message me before booking so I can confirm that I’m available for the dates and times you need! When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client's, I prioritize a safe and structured environment tailored to each pet's individual needs. In client homes, I am trusted with overnight stays and have consistently managed multiple animals without any issues, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well-cared-for in their familiar surroundings. In my own home, I adhere to a disciplined routine, particularly with dogs, to maintain a sense of order and security. This includes scheduled feeding times, walks, and play sessions, which helps in managing their energy levels and maintaining their health. My cat, Beans, enjoys a more flexible routine, which suits her independent nature. She's free to set her own pace throughout the day, though I ensure her needs for interaction and care are met. Overall, my approach is based on respect, patience, and attentiveness to the unique personality and requirements of each pet, ensuring they feel loved and at ease under my care.

Joy went above and beyond for my senior kitty (who normally does not like strangers). She took amazing care of her, got her to take her medicine, spent time making sure she was comfortable, and was incredibly communicative to put us at ease! It made traveling so much easier knowing Sadie was well taken care of.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edgewood. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
