“August was a perfect fit! Our rescue is very sensitive to new people and was immediately at ease during the meet and greet. While we were away, August was patient, kind and sweet whenever Mina would need more alone time or was curious to get to know him better. He was on time, responsive and reliable. We’ll absolutely work with August again in the future!”

“She took care of our pup so well and played with him. So thankful we found Jennifer! She was very responsive and friendly. Definitely will have her back!”

“Rita was great! She came by for 4 days to feed my cat, clean her litter, and play with her. During these drop in visits she sent my photos and I could see that she was taking great care of my cat. She was super accommodating before. She came by for a meet and greet first, then she even came by to pick up my key as I forgot to make one for her ahead of time. I'll definitely rebook the next time I go on vacation!”
“Alison was amazing! We felt completely comfortable leaving our fur babies in her care; she sent detailed updates and gave them lots of love. Our dog and cat warmed up to her so quickly and looked happy in all the great photos she sent.”

About: My name Christina, I have been around pets all my life. My daughter has been doing Rover for over 6 years and she absolutely loves it! So, I decided to sign up! When my daughter was moving back from Alabama to New Mexico, I took care of her cat and dog for about 3 weeks. I fed them, walked her dog and gave them plenty of love until she returned. I am fully vaccinated for Covid. My schedule fluctuates because I have a part time job and the hours vary. So, we can talk about the schedule prior to booking. I would love to take care of your fur babies because I would treat them like my grand babies like my daughters babies and give lots of loving and care while you are away. My daughters fur babies & their personalities: She cat and a dog. Tucker is the most laid back cat you will ever meet. You can literally carry him like a baby. He is great for introducing dogs that have never met cats before. **Please be mindful though, if your dog does not like cats. Please please please let me know that when you message me.* Yoshi is the only dog. Yoshi is a Shiba Inu who loves loves loves to play! I got Yoshi about 6 years ago. My pets are fully vaccinated and gets flee medication once a month. He is neutered. Yoshi, is a Shiba and if you know anything about Shiba's they can have temperamental personalities. Yoshi gets along with other dogs but on his time. He does not like over dominate/ over aggressive dogs. If your dog displays that, please be mindful, honest and upfront about the dynamics. Your animals are top priority when it comes to safety as well as my daughter animals. Cancellation Policy: If you book a stay with me. You will have 3-days before the start of the stay to cancel to get a full refund. If you cancel after the 3-days, you will be refunded 50% of the stay. The the 3-day policy in place, because I value your time and mine as well. I understand when unforeseen things happen. When I commit to booking with you, I decline all other bookings if the other booking dates conflict with your booking date to ensure that your animals will receive the best care. If you cancel after, I will not be able to recover from the other bookings in a short time span. This is first on my bio so you completely understand what the cancellation process is, so you can prepare for it ahead of time. Thank you in advance for understanding. First book, first serve: When booking for my services, I implement a first come, first serve service. More like first book, first serve. If a booking request is sent to me but not paid for in full, the booking is still pending. Meaning the dates requested will still be open for another client to book. If I receive a booking and it is completely booked and paid for then those dates will be blocked off my calendar to ensure that another client can't book during those dates. “Abigail was great with our two boys and also took good care of our house while we were out of town. She was reliably prompt and sent great pictures for each visit! One day when Sly was "missing" she reached out to us to ask about hiding spots, and sure enough Sly was being sly :)”

“Savanah was so great! Our puppies loved her. She gave us daily updates on how they were doing and even went the extra mile to clean up accidents.”

“Laurie was great with our dog. She was very attentive and made sure to keep us informed of everything that was going on during her visit visits. I would definitely use her again. Our dog is very timid and scared and she did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable while we were gone.”

“"Kat" B. provided an incredible experience when she took care of my two cats and the house. The cats loved spending time with her, and she followed all the instructions and did extra tasks without being asked. The "Kat" has the special animal magic due to her knowledge and experiences with a diverse population of animals!. I would not hesitate to contact her to take care of your pets. You will be happy with what she can provide for your most important family members. Thank you for all you did Kat, and I look forward to seeing you again.”

“Will 100% use Mariah again! She provided detailed updates & photos, took my dog for walks & play time. Communication was great and I’m confident my dog was well cared for by Mariah while I was out of town.”

About: Hi! I’m a caring, patient, and dependable pet lover. Since becoming an adult, I’ve been a devoted cat owner, and caring for my cat has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding that every pet has their own unique personality. After my husband and I started our family, we welcomed our own dog into our home. Caring for both a dog and a cat every day has given me hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, cleaning up after pets, and recognizing different behaviors and needs. My husband is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, and together we have built a stable, loving, and pet-friendly home. We understand that trusting someone else with your beloved pet is a big decision, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, and comfortable environment where every pet feels loved and at home. I believe pets are family, and I will always follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Whether it’s feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, or administering medication when needed, I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. Because I believe every pet deserves individualized attention, I only accept the number of pets that I can safely and responsibly care for. My priority is always providing quality care—not just supervision. I would be honored to care for your furry family member as if they were one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pet. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or boarding, I make sure every pet gets the time, exercise, and attention they need. I respond to messages promptly and will do my best to accommodate your preferred schedule whenever possible. My husband and I have a stable, pet-friendly home where pets are treated like family. We currently have one friendly dog and one cat, so I’m experienced in caring for animals with different personalities and routines. I always follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any special care requests. I introduce pets thoughtfully, prioritize their comfort and safety, and provide regular photo and video updates so you can feel confident while you’re away.

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats and am confident in providing attentive, reliable care. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, and maintaining daily routines. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being, and I strive to provide dependable care so owners can feel confident while they are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I currently care for two kittens and a puppy, so my schedule includes feeding, playtime, walks, training, and cleaning throughout the day. Because I’m used to balancing the different needs of young pets, I’m organized, attentive, and consistent with routines. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable, high-quality care for additional pets during the week. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with close supervision, regular feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I follow established routines and provide age-appropriate care, including training support for puppies and enrichment for kittens. In a client’s home, I respect their space and closely follow all care instructions to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. This includes feeding, walks, litter box or waste cleanup, playtime, medication if needed, and regular updates to owners. My goal is to maintain consistency, reduce stress, and ensure each pet feels secure and well cared for.
“Alexandra was awesome! She went the extra mile and gave us a piece of mind while we were away from our fur babies. One of our dogs became I’ll and she gave her so much TLC! She also took extra care with our house while we were gone! I highly recommend using Alexander for taking care of your pets when your away!”

Such an amazing person to work with! Super dependable, great communication, goes above and beyond in every way imaginable. We had an emergency with my cat and Joy was amazing. She was communicating through every step and handled the situation easily. 100% would recommend!

Joy went above and beyond for my senior kitty (who normally does not like strangers). She took amazing care of her, got her to take her medicine, spent time making sure she was comfortable, and was incredibly communicative to put us at ease! It made traveling so much easier knowing Sadie was well taken care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edgewood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
