She sent pictures and updates daily, and assured us that things were going well. She kindly agreed to feed and water the wild birds and rabbits, and even sent pictures of them. About: With a mother who works as a vet tech and a household full of elderly dogs, I’ve learned to spot subtle changes in behavior, administer medications with care, and handle everything from puppy energy to the gentle needs of a blind senior dog. I’ve been pet sitting since high school, caring for cats, dogs, horses, and farm animals—and I treat every animal like the innocent soul they are. As a mom of five, I’m no stranger to messes, and I genuinely don’t mind the less glamorous parts of pet care—poop scooping, litter box cleaning, or giving meds. I believe animals are family, and I show up with patience, attentiveness, and a nurturing spirit every time. Whether your pet is playful, shy, aging, or in need of extra TLC, I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I am a stay at home mom with plenty of flexibility in my schedule during the week, so most of the time I can attend to your pet with very short notice and flexible hours. While weekends are typically reserved for family time, I may be able to make exceptions with a little more advanced notice than what I would need on weekdays. I have no barriers to early morning check-ins. I care for pets in their homes, acknowledging that it is their space and not mine and as a homeowner myself, I will treat your property with the upmost respect. I will use any information you share with me about your pet’s likes and dislikes and dos/don’ts in regard to your home space to make sure that your animal is comfortable and given consistency that matches their regular routine.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets, both my own and my family members, for 8 years. I was 10 years old when I got my first dog and he is the most calm natured and loving dog I’ve ever met. My family members regularly ask me to pet sit for them when they are busy or go out of town. I’m a high school senior and I need to raise money to afford college tuition. I get out of school at 1:30 every day and am free on weekends so I will almost always have time to care for your little babies :) I have a 1.5 acre fenced in yard so any pets will have lots of space to run and play. If they are allowed, I’ll give them treats. We have many toys for cats and dogs so they will always have something to entertain them.

About: I am a dog owner myself and absolutely love my girl Louise and understand how important pets are to their people and vice versa. Dogs and cats have always loved me. My style is to allow them to get comfortable around me before I try to engage with them. Once we are comfortable with each other they will enjoy regular walks outside and indoor games of fetch, hide and seek, and belly rubs! I'm back and forth from Santa Fe to Denver so am available in both areas. I am very responsible with other peoples furry loved ones and always enjoy being around animals. I feel strongly that our pets are family and will see your pets as family too. I am active and love to be outside so you'll be sure that your dog will get plenty of excercise!!

About: I can stay at your home or I can board your pets at my home (boarding only if you have small lap dogs). For boarding, I keep your pets indoors with our pets in our personal living space so your pets should be clean, house-broken, and tolerant of children. We have a very clean home with mostly red brick tile throughout (except for the bedrooms which have white carpet). We have a small doggie door which enters into a small fenced area (4'x12') for self-potty breaks while we are at work (if your dogs know how to use a doggie door). We can also close this door if your dog is an escape artist. Our home is located in the east mountains off the Zuzax exit (about 15 minutes from Tramway Blvd). We both work (I have summers off) so we come to Albuquerque every day via I-40 and would be happy to pick up your pet at a meeting location if the drive is a pain for you. We have a huge horse barn and several acres as our backyard. We have a mini-horse, three mini goats, three chickens, two small dogs, and a cat. Why is my rate so reasonable you ask? Because we don't do this to make a living. Getting to care for other peoples furry children brings much happiness & joy to our lives too. If it was a pain in the rear, we'd charge much much more. But it's not, it's a treat for us. I also automatically donate 5% of my pet sitting fee's to K9's for Warriors via Rover.com. K9's for Warriors provides service canines to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury as a result of military service. About this sitter: I'm a married mother of two children, and many animal children. I work full-time as a social worker. Caring for pets is a natural extension of my care of humans. Why I love dog sitting: I've been a dog lover since I was little. My families Norwegian Elkhound had puppies when I was 2 years old and I have pictures of my twin sister and I being so in love with them and carrying them everywhere we went. When I was 19, I bought a dog book and combed the pages looking for my best K-9 match. I ended up getting a Shih Tzu and a Brussels Griffon. 20 years later, we now have Budrow, my 14 year old Norfolk Terrier mix, Gracie, my 2 year old mini-Australian Sheppard/mini-Poodle mix, and a 4 year old sweet long hair female cat named Aphrodite. They are all best buddies and they enjoy having furry houseguests. Meet my pets: We have one mini-horse, three mini-goats, three chickens, 2 small dogs, and a cat. About my yard: We have a huge backyard (5 acres), some areas are fenced some are not. If your dogs are diggers, I'd worry that they might get into the chicken coop or the goat area. We do not want to host large outdoor dogs at this time, until we get proper sturdy fencing around the entire property. We are currently only hosting indoor lap dogs at this time. My experience administering medication: Yes, I will administer medication (including shots) unless a dog bites or gets squirrely. I accommodate your pets needs around my work schedule. In the Fall or Spring I occasionally have my teenagers sports events or meets to attend. I treat you pets like my own and if I’m caring for your pets in my own home they will be included in my regular life, living room time (sunning windows, movie nights on the couch, etc), grass time, playtime, sleep time, etc.

About: I grew up in the country and have been surrounded by all type of pets. I have 3 pets of my own (2 dogs/1cat), so your dog will have a playmate to interact with. I will adhere to any routines or regulations to maintain the happiness and safety of your well-being. Regular potty breaks, love, and lots of treats/toys will be provided! I LOVE puppies, so I am patient enough to help with potty training and crate training to help keep a routine with your puppy. You will receive regular updates on your dog’s daily activities! I do ask that your dog is not destructive or aggressive. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any questions or concerns! I am a stay at home wife, so I will be available to your pet(s) all day and night. Your pets will fit my normal pet routine unless you provide me with a strict schedule. I have pets of my own that will keep your pet company at all times. I have a large home, so your cat/dog will have plenty of space to roam as allowed. Pets are allowed on furniture as long as they are not destructive. If necessary, I can provide small grooming services to allow a clean and safe environment for all pets. I have a screen porch to allow your pet to have fresh air safely. Your dog will not go outside without a leash to maintain their safety at all times!! Your dog will never be left alone with my pets to make sure no aggression occurs.
