“Abigail was great with our two boys and also took good care of our house while we were out of town. She was reliably prompt and sent great pictures for each visit! One day when Sly was "missing" she reached out to us to ask about hiding spots, and sure enough Sly was being sly :)”

“Rita was great! She came by for 4 days to feed my cat, clean her litter, and play with her. During these drop in visits she sent my photos and I could see that she was taking great care of my cat. She was super accommodating before. She came by for a meet and greet first, then she even came by to pick up my key as I forgot to make one for her ahead of time. I'll definitely rebook the next time I go on vacation!”
“Laurie was great with our dog. She was very attentive and made sure to keep us informed of everything that was going on during her visit visits. I would definitely use her again. Our dog is very timid and scared and she did everything she could to make sure he was comfortable while we were gone.”

“She did amazing with our boys. Koda (the brown one) is diabetic and had a hard time recognizing her. She did great calming him and his brother down and administering insulin. Definitely going to book again!”

About: I've taken care of animals who needed insulin twice a day, I grew up taking care of the cat who gave birth in my apartment and I've always had an animal in my life, they deserve all the vacay time you get! I currently am studying to work from home and I do most of my studying online, if you have wifi or a little cafe close to home I can give your pet(s) all the care they need! I've been with crated animals as well as animals who have their own bed they sleep in every night I'm used to routine and am good at adapting to their schedule!
“"Kat" B. provided an incredible experience when she took care of my two cats and the house. The cats loved spending time with her, and she followed all the instructions and did extra tasks without being asked. The "Kat" has the special animal magic due to her knowledge and experiences with a diverse population of animals!. I would not hesitate to contact her to take care of your pets. You will be happy with what she can provide for your most important family members. Thank you for all you did Kat, and I look forward to seeing you again.”

“Daniel is so good! I can't recommend him enough. He loves on my dogs and treats them like his own. They don't get stressed at all when I need to go out of because they aren't cooped up in a kennel with lots of other dogs. They are at home sleeping in their beds and loving the attention Daniel showers on them. Gives me peace of mind knowing they are in good hands.”

“Tammy and her husband did a great job of taking care of our pets, even during an ice storm. She also reached out to us during a power outage with questions. Would be happy to have her come by if/when we go away again.”
“There’s nothing better than going away for a few days totally confident that your dogs are going to be safe at home and in good hands with their sitter. Spencer is the best. He is reliable, trustworthy and an all around good guy. I highly recommend Spencer for all you doggie care needs.”

“Lorenzo was great with my fearful German shepherd. He was patient and followed all of the care instructions I left. Overall very responsive and communicative. Thank you Lorenzo!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats and am confident in providing attentive, reliable care. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, and maintaining daily routines. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being, and I strive to provide dependable care so owners can feel confident while they are away. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I currently care for two kittens and a puppy, so my schedule includes feeding, playtime, walks, training, and cleaning throughout the day. Because I’m used to balancing the different needs of young pets, I’m organized, attentive, and consistent with routines. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable, high-quality care for additional pets during the week. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with close supervision, regular feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I follow established routines and provide age-appropriate care, including training support for puppies and enrichment for kittens. In a client’s home, I respect their space and closely follow all care instructions to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. This includes feeding, walks, litter box or waste cleanup, playtime, medication if needed, and regular updates to owners. My goal is to maintain consistency, reduce stress, and ensure each pet feels secure and well cared for.
About: From fostering a Great Dane and her seven puppies to caring for my own aging dog sick with cancer, I can care for animals at any stage. I work during the week and remotely at times, so I have flexibility to accommodate any schedule. I have a car and can transport wherever. It’s just me and my dog in my apartment, but we have a first floor with a small yard out front that Kesey likes to sunbathe in. All the neighbors stop and say hello.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
