“My dog has never been happier staying with someone. The entire experience increased her ability to socialize with dogs and people so much so that she's been calmer and more confident after the stay.”

“Highly, highly recommend Rosalia. She provided great daily updates with multiple photos, and I could tell my dog was very happy and comfortable in all of them. We also always have a sense of how things went when we pick him up, and that also made it clear that he'd enjoyed Rosalia's! Couldn't have been more perfect. She also has a very secure setup at her home, so, even though our dog has tried to make a run for it in the past due to his high prey drive, we didn't worry about that one bit when he was with Rosalia!”

“Maellin was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter; she had excellent communication across the board. Sharing updates and photos of Navi every day. I could tell from the photos that she took such good care of her, Navi was smiling, and really warmed up to Maellin, which she doesn’t do with everyone. It was over the 4th, and Navi was quite nervous about the fireworks. Maellin took every measure to ensure her greatest ease and comfort, bringing her into their bedroom and turning on some background noise to help drown it out. Maellin is also a wonderfully sweet human; she will 100% be my first choice anytime we need care for Navi.”

“Esmeralda and her family took very good care of our Spider. She sent us some photos and updates to stay connected which we really appreciate. She was also available with short notice and we would definitely let Spider stay with her again. When we arrived for pickup, Spider was relaxing in his bed in the living room, very calm and obviously very comfortable at Esmeralda's house. :) Excellent care”

“Debbie was great! Pick up and drop off were a breeze. Kept us at ease while away with pictures, quick responses to messages, and updates on our pooch. Would definitely recommend her to anyone going away and needing somewhere to keep their pet!”

“awesome sitter! I would highly recommend her. She cares about the animals, goes the extra mile and is very reasonably priced. I'm sure my pup will love to come back as many times as necessary!”
“We were in a bind due to a family emergency which prohibited us from taking the dog, and very apprehensive about the safety and care of our beloved Mowgli. Such gratitude that Cindy stepped in, we were able to meet that day and throughout the trip we received updates showing Mowgli so well cared for. When we got home he was completely contented. Thank you Rover and especially Cindy - you gave us peace of mind at a time when it meant so much.”

“I would definitely recommend having Anne take care of your fur babies, she kept us posted everyday with pictures, and our pet looked happily content, thank you Anne!!”

About: I am a dog owner myself and absolutely love my girl Louise and understand how important pets are to their people and vice versa. Dogs and cats have always loved me. My style is to allow them to get comfortable around me before I try to engage with them. Once we are comfortable with each other they will enjoy regular walks outside and indoor games of fetch, hide and seek, and belly rubs! I'm back and forth from Santa Fe to Denver so am available in both areas. I am very responsible with other peoples furry loved ones and always enjoy being around animals. I feel strongly that our pets are family and will see your pets as family too. I am active and love to be outside so you'll be sure that your dog will get plenty of excercise!!
“My biggest grudge is when someone expresses when they only gave one star " cuz they couldn't give any less"... When do we support local business and recognize our community for the good that surrounds us? !!! Recognize beauty people!!!!! This man is the real thing; a dog whisperer through and through. Incredibly kind, greeting my pup with a treat at first meet. Communication is HUGE for me. Pics were shared - almost immediately - and direct messages were alleviating. We all want to know our loved ones are in the best care. Michael is communicative, engaging with the guests, and truly, one of a kind. I'd book him immediately, if he doesn't forget my little girl...”

“Onrae was great. We left Ansel with him for just over a week and it really let us relax knowing he was in good hands. He sent several updates and pictures and was always quick to respond to messages and questions. He did a great job in trying to keep a good routine for the dog, and it seemed like Ansel loved playing with the kids and having a new environment to explore! Will definitely be looking to call him again in the future for our pet care needs!”

“Rita watched our very senior dog, Lionel for a couple trips and was fantastic! She was extremely well communicative about how he was doing, very watchful of any issues or changes, and flexible with drop off and pick up times. She is clearly experienced with a friendly, reassuring, and dog-loving demeanor. I trust her and soooo wish we still had her in the area!”

“This is the second time we leave Tessa with Wendy and it was also a great experience. Wendy is very communicative and sends lots of pics of Tessa enjoying with her and her kids. She also takes Tessa to dog parks and on walks so she can get her exercise. We recommend her :)”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our puppy. They provided excellent care, kept us updated, and made sure our puppy felt safe, comfortable, and loved while we were away. It was clear that they genuinely cared and treated our puppy like one of their own. We came home to a happy, healthy pup and would absolutely trust them again in the future. Highly recommended!”

“I would definitely book again!! Lorenzo was communicative with me and provided updates/photos! Those updates gave me peace of mind while being away from my dog.”

About: Hi, I’m Renee—your cat’s new favorite human (even if they pretend not to care). 🐈⬛ I’ve loved and cared for cats my whole life—from lap-loving purr machines to fiercely independent under-the-bed dwellers. I admire their perceptiveness, their independence, and their ability to set boundaries without apology. Cats don’t need constant attention, and I respect that. But when they do want affection, I’m all in—whether it’s petting, playtime, or just sitting quietly nearby. I’m completely comfortable with litter box duty, giving medications, and tuning into the subtle cues that tell you when something’s off. I believe cats are family, and I care for them with the same gentleness and respect I’d want for my own. Whether your kitty is social, shy, spicy, or somewhere in between—I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel safe, seen, and loved.

“Tammy and her husband did a great job of taking care of our pets, even during an ice storm. She also reached out to us during a power outage with questions. Would be happy to have her come by if/when we go away again.”
“Shantae was awesome! Filled in last minute to watch my cat and took wonderful care of her. She sent plenty of pictures/updates and returned the house in immaculate condition. Highly recommend her!”

“Lilly is fantastic! She has come to our home multiple times over the past few months to take care of our husky / pit mix. Our dog loves her and I love feeling confident that Lilly has got things under control! She makes sure to send me updates and cute pictures and is perfectly communicative. I couldn’t recommend her services enough!”
About: Having grown up with dogs and dog sat growing up, I understand and value the responsibilities that come with taking care of another family's precious pets! I am dependable and will genuinely attend to your pet. I am currently home for the summer and working part time, but have a lot of availability to look after and cater to your pet. I will completely follow any instructions provided by the pet owners in order to supply the utmost level of care and upkeep that the pets require.

“Rita sent pictures and videos everyday as she cat sat for us. Our cat is not as anxious as she was when we left her alone over a weekend. She is still healthy and did not cling to us too much when we came home. I recommend Rita and will be looking to see if she's available first for future bookings!”

About: I’ve always connected with animals and have a deep sense of understand them. I’ve always been great at training them from a young age. I’ve always had dogs from the time that I got my own place which was when I was 18. My job is flexible, I work full time but can adjust my schedule as needed. I am able to take care of your pups from your home, do check ins or walks as needed. My dog has a high fence outside is able to go in and out as needed through doggy door. There is someone always home as well to keep company. If I take your pups with me they would also have the same access, with walks, a crate is also an option
About: Ive been watching my family’s and friends animals for years now. With the responsibility of feeding them, giving them water, and playing with them when needed. I have to take care of my cat and dog daily and I often watch my neighbors dogs, cats and horses for them while they travel. I always make sure I take care of the animals according to the owners instructions, or to take care of their house as they ask.

About: I’ve never had a time in my life when I didn’t have a pet cat. I grew up in the country in WNY and we had a lot of strays dropped at our place. We vetted and either rehomed or kept them. Working at a vet, I have experience with all sorts of personalities.
“Hutch was a wonderful kitty sitter, especially considering Pumpkin was just a kitten! She was very courteous of our home and sent us daily pictures. 5 starts for sure! Thank you again Hutch!”

“Spencer was a great communicator and authentically excited to spend time with our senior cat, Cash! Cash warmed quickly to him and said he had a lot of fun with Spencer. Thorough updates and pics, I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing he was being taken care of!”
About: I’ve taken care of my senior dog for four years before she passed away. This includes feeding, bathing, brushing, meeting her potty needs and walking. I also pet sit for two dogs when their owner is out of town. I work for a restaurant during the morning or afternoon shift for roughly 6 hours. I can work in between those times and I only have one shift a day. (Some days are completely open!) I am very good about respecting spaces and following directions. I usually walk dogs twice a day around the neighborhood; however, I will follow whatever directions are given. I love giving attention to pets, especially dogs that need some extra care. Adopting my dog as a senior gave me a special love for all senior dogs!

Finding one’s self with little to do after retirement, caring for animals just fit in so well and what a stress reliever these fur babies are. 😄 I have double fenced in areas, with all sizes of houses. About: I can stay at your home or I can board your pets at my home (boarding only if you have small lap dogs). For boarding, I keep your pets indoors with our pets in our personal living space so your pets should be clean, house-broken, and tolerant of children. We have a very clean home with mostly red brick tile throughout (except for the bedrooms which have white carpet). We have a small doggie door which enters into a small fenced area (4'x12') for self-potty breaks while we are at work (if your dogs know how to use a doggie door). We can also close this door if your dog is an escape artist. Our home is located in the east mountains off the Zuzax exit (about 15 minutes from Tramway Blvd). We both work (I have summers off) so we come to Albuquerque every day via I-40 and would be happy to pick up your pet at a meeting location if the drive is a pain for you. We have a huge horse barn and several acres as our backyard. We have a mini-horse, three mini goats, three chickens, two small dogs, and a cat. Why is my rate so reasonable you ask? Because we don't do this to make a living. Getting to care for other peoples furry children brings much happiness & joy to our lives too. If it was a pain in the rear, we'd charge much much more. But it's not, it's a treat for us. I also automatically donate 5% of my pet sitting fee's to K9's for Warriors via Rover.com. K9's for Warriors provides service canines to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury as a result of military service. About this sitter: I'm a married mother of two children, and many animal children. I work full-time as a social worker. Caring for pets is a natural extension of my care of humans. Why I love dog sitting: I've been a dog lover since I was little. My families Norwegian Elkhound had puppies when I was 2 years old and I have pictures of my twin sister and I being so in love with them and carrying them everywhere we went. When I was 19, I bought a dog book and combed the pages looking for my best K-9 match. I ended up getting a Shih Tzu and a Brussels Griffon. 20 years later, we now have Budrow, my 14 year old Norfolk Terrier mix, Gracie, my 2 year old mini-Australian Sheppard/mini-Poodle mix, and a 4 year old sweet long hair female cat named Aphrodite. They are all best buddies and they enjoy having furry houseguests. Meet my pets: We have one mini-horse, three mini-goats, three chickens, 2 small dogs, and a cat. About my yard: We have a huge backyard (5 acres), some areas are fenced some are not. If your dogs are diggers, I'd worry that they might get into the chicken coop or the goat area. We do not want to host large outdoor dogs at this time, until we get proper sturdy fencing around the entire property. We are currently only hosting indoor lap dogs at this time. My experience administering medication: Yes, I will administer medication (including shots) unless a dog bites or gets squirrely. I accommodate your pets needs around my work schedule. In the Fall or Spring I occasionally have my teenagers sports events or meets to attend. I treat you pets like my own and if I’m caring for your pets in my own home they will be included in my regular life, living room time (sunning windows, movie nights on the couch, etc), grass time, playtime, sleep time, etc.
“Celeste was warm, friendly, and kind with Oreo, who is still getting used to doggy daycare. She made sure Oreo felt comfortable. Her dog Murphy was as gentle and welcoming, which really helped Oreo adjust. I’m super grateful for the care and looking forward to having Oreo stay with Celeste and Murphy again. Thank you!”

“James has been awesome with foster George (AKA Houdini) who has been on the euthanasia list 3 times. . . and his next time will be his last. George is the sweetest dog ever but his escapism has been problematic. James has been his life saver while I am at work, and has provided George playmates and activity throughout the day. James is DEFINITELY worth considering if you need care for your dog. . . (Just don't steal George's spot. . . We need James.)”

“In ABQ for vacation and searched out Kimberly on Rover based on all the reviews - gosh they were right!! She’s super responsive, flexible with your schedule, and great with our dog. Thank you Kimberly for being so welcoming!”

“Charles was extremely professional and responsible and he took EXCELLENT care of my lab, Tamale, with the help of his dog, Shiso. He sent regular pictures of their walks, the dogs playing together in the yard together, cuddling for naps, and having meals and snacks- it was obvious she was in good hands. Tamale had a wonderful time, was thoroughly exhausted and most importantly, she was VERY well cared for. I felt so fortunate to find such a warm, wonderful home in my neighborhood with a kind human and his family to look after my girl while I worked and my husband was out of town. She already misses her new friends. Thanks again, Charles! We will absolutely be booking again.”

“Michael was very helpful and accommodating. I believe he did his best with Rocco to keep him occupied. Rocco has separation anxiety, but Michael made the efforts to gain his trust in a limited timeframe. We were very appreciative with his services!”

About: I have lots of flexibility throughout the day and on the weekends. I’m a proud fur mama of a 4 year old Shih Tzu. She’s very well behaved and loves other animals and people. We don’t have any other children or pets so when I pet sit she gets the opportunity to play with her friends at home. We have an open home where the dogs are free to roam around or in and out of the house to our gated and secure backyard. I wanted to become a sitter for a couple reasons. I know what its like looking for a dog sitter myself. It’s hard to know who to trust with our fury family members. I’m responsible, reliable, and most importantly I have integrity. My other reason is because, I enjoy it! I work part time as a Registered Nurse. If I have accepted to care for your dog in my home that is because I will be home all day to care for your furry friend. I will have time to play with them, take them for walks, and give them the attention they need. Safety is number one in my book. My home is clean and free of clutter. Pets are free to play in our secured and large fenced areas and watched carefully.
“Amazing amazing amazing ! Very amazing communication and stormy absolutely loves her and her daughter ! The space is amazing for pets and love how many updates she gave”

I am committed to maintaining clear and consistent communication with pet owners and to following all care instructions closely. Responsibility and consistency are very important to me, and I always prioritize the well-being, safety, and peace of mind of the pets in my care. When I care for pets in my home or in their owner’s home, I carefully follow their usual routines so they feel safe and comfortable. I make sure to maintain consistent schedules for feeding, walks, hygiene, and rest. I provide a clean, calm, and well-supervised environment at all times. I also pay close attention to their behavior and emotional needs, offering companionship, affection, and patience. I always respect the owners’ instructions and maintain clear communication so they feel at ease while they’re away.
About: I have a 5-year old dog, Roxy, who is very sweet and loves making new dog friends. We live in a home with a fenced-in yard and about one block from a park that is great for dog walks. I can provide a large crate if needed. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule to meet your needs. I’m typically available for contact unless I’m in a meeting, but will respond soon after. Roxy gets backyard playtime and walks around the park daily. She eats one large bowl of food in the evening and also receives treats. Of course I can accommodate your dog’s schedule and needs.
“Mabel was very happy to be left with Onrae for a few hours, which isn't always the case with sitters. But dogs are a good judge of character, right? All went well and Onrae was an excellent communicator. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.”

About: I grew up around dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have three dogs and three cats along with plenty of other animals. I've watched pets for friends and family and I've fostered dogs while I found good homes for them. **PLEASE READ COMPLETELY THROUGH** I'm available for part time but will still have plenty of time to watch over pets. I work from 2:00pm-12:30am Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and can check in any time before 1 on those days. I'm unable to watch any animals at my own home but will go to a client's home to feed, play with, or let out a pet. I can also take pets for walks or to a dog park.
About: With a mother who works as a vet tech and a household full of elderly dogs, I’ve learned to spot subtle changes in behavior, administer medications with care, and handle everything from puppy energy to the gentle needs of a blind senior dog. I’ve been pet sitting since high school, caring for cats, dogs, horses, and farm animals—and I treat every animal like the innocent soul they are. As a mom of five, I’m no stranger to messes, and I genuinely don’t mind the less glamorous parts of pet care—poop scooping, litter box cleaning, or giving meds. I believe animals are family, and I show up with patience, attentiveness, and a nurturing spirit every time. Whether your pet is playful, shy, aging, or in need of extra TLC, I’ll meet them where they are and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I am a stay at home mom with plenty of flexibility in my schedule during the week, so most of the time I can attend to your pet with very short notice and flexible hours. While weekends are typically reserved for family time, I may be able to make exceptions with a little more advanced notice than what I would need on weekdays. I have no barriers to early morning check-ins. I care for pets in their homes, acknowledging that it is their space and not mine and as a homeowner myself, I will treat your property with the upmost respect. I will use any information you share with me about your pet’s likes and dislikes and dos/don’ts in regard to your home space to make sure that your animal is comfortable and given consistency that matches their regular routine.

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. Providing the love and care to other dogs while you’re away is my priority! To give you the peace of mind your fur baby is both physically and mentally stimulated during our time together. I am very active, love going on hikes and finding new parks in the area! I am in the end of my surgical residency making my schedule relatively flexible. While I am unable to have a dog of my own full time, I can care and love for others in the mean time! While I do live in an apartment, there is a park with walking trails right across the street that I walk daily. Staying active is an essential part of my life!
About: I've been taking care of my dogs/cats since I could walk. Started walking the neighborhood dogs at 14 and everyone loved it. I would house sit, including bathes and any medicine, for everyone's dogs when they needed me to. I will be a full time student and have a full time job. However I plan to be able to walk dogs between school and my job everyday if I can. I can be available weekends during the day. Tues through Thurs nights are my nights off and I will be at to stay at the house as long as needed for whatever care is needed those days after class. I unfortunately can't host pets due to living in an apartment. I will make sure your pets get enough enrichment, exercise, and cuddles/pets. I will be willing to bathe and or medicate animals if needed. I will clean up after the animal. I regularly take care of an elderly dog who gets medications twice a day and have experience with medicating cats as well. I work a full time job and do full time school. I will be able to check on any dogs before school and between place as well as after work. Fridays through Sunday I don't work until evening so I can spend all day taking care of your pets. I won't be able to host due to living in an apartment. I will play with your dogs including just running around the yard with them if you have one. Make sure they are properly fed and always have plenty of water. And of course make sure they get snuggles if they want to.
“Awesome first meeting. My dog, Dobby is reactive when meeting people for the first and even second time. Erich did a great job avoiding eye contact and interactions with Dobby until later. By the end of our meeting, he was able to walk and pet my normally super reactive dog.”

About: Hello, and thanks for viewing my profile! My name is Madeleine, and I'd love to be your next pet sitter. I live in Madrid and can help out in that area, but have no problem at all traveling to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, or farther for work. I have two sweet cats at home - Ain and Vega. They have been in my life for 7 wonderful years, since they were kittens. I've even taught them a few tricks - their favorite is "high-five"! I currently work various gig-style jobs while preparing to start work as an EMT in Santa Fe. I have truly always loved pets, and grew up with cats, dogs, and chickens. I've had cats as pets for most of my life. I lived in New Mexico for many years before leaving to explore other parts of the country. My transition back here involved two back-to-back months-long cat/house-sitting arrangements, so I'm extremely well-practiced and my skills are very current. I hope to meet you and your fur babies soon! I'm working various part-time jobs, but pets always take priority. I can schedule other jobs around the hours that you and your pets will need my attention. I keep my cats mostly indoors, since I live in a more rural area. We do get out and explore on harnesses and leashes from time-to-time. I am willing to look after strictly indoor, outdoor, or indoor/outdoor pets of all kinds.

“My dog has never been happier staying with someone. The entire experience increased her ability to socialize with dogs and people so much so that she's been calmer and more confident after the stay.”

“Debbie was great! Pick up and drop off were a breeze. Kept us at ease while away with pictures, quick responses to messages, and updates on our pooch. Would definitely recommend her to anyone going away and needing somewhere to keep their pet!”

About: I’ve dog sat for most of my life, I have a love for all dogs and deeply believe dogs are family and should be treated and cared for as such I currently work full time on the weekends so I am usually off on weekdays and would love some company cuddling on the couch or walks I have a fenced yard and almost a half acre to run around. I have two beagles and a little yorkie that will keep your pup company.

“Absolutely fabulous! Emily took on our cat so that we could attend our daughter’s wedding. Emily kept us posted about how our cat was doing and took care of everything. An absolute lifesaver! Thank you Emily :)”

“My girls were so happy when I picked them up. Celeste took them on long walks, which is their favorite thing. I will be taking them back to Celeste!”

“Jessie took absolutely amazing care of my dog Finn. She was kind, patient, and attentive throughout his long stay in her home. Finn was very relaxed and comfortable in all the pictures she sent! I highly recommend Jessie to everyone looking for great care for their pets.”

“We are delighted with Julia's attentive kindness and skillful care of our Charlie, an older big dog who can run pretty anxious in a new environment. Not that you would know it from her great work with him. We greatly appreciated her frequently staying in touch with us with photos and updates which are descriptive enough that we can really visualize how things are going for him. It's clear that he feels happy to be with Julia and her dogs, and he's comfortable even on this very first visit with her! Looking forward to him staying with Julia, Montana, and Drummer again.”

“Sofie was the best! From our first communications, to the met and greet, to the end of the stay, she was flexible and friendly. I had no reservations about leaving our dog with her. She sent pictures everyday with a little update that confirmed she knew our dogs habits. Would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again myself!”

About: I’ve grown up with many cats (tabbies, calicos, and black cats) and dogs (pit bulls) throughout my childhood. I’m very familiar with environments that involve pets. I’m also known to be very punctual, have friendly and positive attitude, and pay excellent attention to detail! I’m a 22 year old young adult and I work part time as a caregiver! I live with my fiancé who also works as a caregiver but we have opposite schedules, so there will always be a person in the place to look after your pet. I work Fri-Monday from 9am to 5pm. I may be out of the house once a day for a hour or two to run errands. Besides that, I’ll be available to keep an eye on your furry friends! :) I live in a 650 sqft apartment within a gated community! The apartment complex has a small outside pet area with other sidewalks and grass to enjoy. I can also provide food and toys if needed!
“Arman was great to work with! He is very good at communicating and helped us through our first time using rover. He took good care of our dog and loved being there! He even sent us pictures to show how our dog was doing! Will rebook with Arman again!”

“Christine is by far the best rover I have ever had. I had to go home for an emergency and she took them on very short notice and I had to stay longer than expected and that was ok with her as well. She really saved me!! It’s such a relief knowing my dogs are safe, happy and loved! My dogs love staying with her, they have so much fun!! Christine is a wonderful person and I am so happy I have finally found the perfect person for my dogs ♥️♥️”
