“Crystal is the best pet sitter ever. My cats adore her. She was able to give my cat her pills twice a day without any problems. She was very professional in our communication. I appreciate how reliable Crystal is. I knew my cats were in good hands while I was away which gave me peace of mind. Crystal kept me updated the entire time.”

“Erin has been great with our kitties Zoey and Tango. She always shows up when she's supposed to and keeps us updated. The kitties really like her too! I would highly recommend her 😊”

About: I have given dogs medicine and have experience with taking extra care of old dogs and puppies whose energy is off the roof. I have one huge dog so I’m also not afraid of pit bulls or mastiff’s and am able to fulfill any requests you have. I have just started summer and go to unm as a art student so I am constantly having free time especially during the summer as my only plans are on Tuesday for counseling and Sunday’s for church. So I have a completely free week Everytime I go to a house I make sure to clean up after myself and to clean up extra just so when you come back it’s even cleaner than you lef!
“"Kat" B. provided an incredible experience when she took care of my two cats and the house. The cats loved spending time with her, and she followed all the instructions and did extra tasks without being asked. The "Kat" has the special animal magic due to her knowledge and experiences with a diverse population of animals!. I would not hesitate to contact her to take care of your pets. You will be happy with what she can provide for your most important family members. Thank you for all you did Kat, and I look forward to seeing you again.”

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. Since I was 12, it’s been my responsibility to take care of our English Setter. This began with me helping to train him. My role was to reinforce the lessons taught at the PetSmart classes. I’ve regularly walked, bathed, and taken to the vet our dog as well. I love animals of all kinds and care a lot about giving them the loving attention they deserve. I currently work part time 6 days a week, with Sundays off. I work from home, and regularly have mornings and early afternoons completely available. I have more than enough time for several appointments just about every day of the week. At the moment I do not own any pets, as my landlord does not allow it. I am unable to provide any services that would require my home. But I’ve lived with and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, with great regularly since I was 12. I know what I’m doing when it comes to our furry companions. I’d love to provide walks, visits, and any other services I can.
About: My family has already had 2+ dogs at a time. I currently have my own 2 dogs, who I adore very much. I have also worked at a doggy daycare while I was in college. I used to be allergic to cats, but I haven’t had a reactions to cats recently, so I am also open to helping you with your cats! I don’t have as much as experience, and I am already open to learning more! I am currently in graduate school, and have a part time internship. I am hoping to dog sit as another way to keep me busy, and earn some extra money. I am very kind to all animals. I am a quick learner, so I am able to learn what the client wants and I am able to do it. I have a few years of professional dog care taking, and I did not have any incidents during those months. I have also dog sat for many of my family and friends without any issues.
“Literally had a worry free vacation knowing that Ludo was well taken care off. Brandi sent us pics and updates daily. Will definitely have her watch our pets again!”

“We are repeat bookers for Jocelynn's dog care services and, once again, she did not disappoint. She was 1000% reliable and showed up every day to care for our dog and she even went above and beyond in taking to account the hot summer weather. We appreciate her immensely and are thankful she was available.”

About: My flexibility, dedication and reasonable pricing. I am very reliable in the workplace, And I am confident that could translate to doing this kind of work. For 14 years, I had a very high maintenance cat, she had several medical conditions including an allergy to fish, pancreatitis and bladder/kidney stones. At one point, she became ill and required tube feeding for a couple of weeks while she recovered, including administering medications, liquid and pill form. If need be, I could go in the morning before work, at lunch time, or in the evening after work. I would be available anytime on the weekends. I'm pretty open to what is needed. Contact me if you have any questions. I no longer have a pet at home, and that is part of what makes this special, as it would give me time to spend with animals again.
“Natalie was great with our medically complex cat! She took great care of all of our cats but made sure our epileptic cat got all his meds as needed. She always made sure to check on our hidey cat too. Will be rebooking her!”

“Sara did amazing and well exceeded my expectations for the care of my cats! She gave great updates and sent wonderful pictures. Would love to have her take care of my cats again.”

“Cindy has been a life saver each and every every time we need last minute care! Ludo loves hanging out with her and she’s is great with him! We can’t recommend her enough.”

“This was the first time my pets and myself met with Lucy. My dog who is a bit reactive warmed up to her very fast. I feel very comfortable leaving my pets in her care when I am away. Very good and hopeful experience!”

“My dog has intense anxiety whenever we're away. Savvy was great with communication, changing our original directions about his medication when we requested it, and cleaning up messes he made in the house.”

“Ginger was great to work with and took wonderful care of our two cats! She was prompt at sending photos and updating us about how our cats were during her visits. Their space was kept clean and managed by Ginger as well. Looking forward to working with her again!”

“Satara did an awesome job watching my cats. She kept me informed of when she’d be over to take care of them. One of the cats threw up in the kitchen and she kindly cleaned it up. I greatly appreciate Satara’s service and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”
“Patrick is so amazing. I am very grateful for his help with taking care of my pup. He is so flexible and accommodating with scheduling. My dog absolutely loves him.”

“This is my second time asking Megan to watch my dogs when we work long hour shifts and when I get home they are exhausted! I can really tell they enjoy it a lot and I can actually tell they get a lot of exercise. I will continue to ask Megan to take care of my dogs because I feel like she is a person that I can really trust, especially since November has a lot of anxiety and over excitement all the time but she knows how to handle it and I’m thankful for that☺️”

“Brian accepted a last minute booking to come check in on my cat while I was out of town for work. He was very diligent about refilling my cats food and water and cleaning up after him. Brian was patient while my shy, anxious cat warmed up to him. When I returned home, my cat seemed so much less stressed than when I’ve left him in the care of friends or family, so I can tell Brian took good care of him.”

Crystal was absolutely fabulous! Our cat Maxine usually is never seen by cat sitters, but that changed with Crystal. Maxine came out to eat treats, play with her wand toy, and even pose for pictures. Crystal was great at communicating with us. We recommend her highly.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rio Rancho. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
