“Cristina was a wonderfully attentive pet ❤️ sitter. She went far beyond in her care of Cal Kitty. Her knowledge and efforts resulted in my confidence she was a capable and affectionate care giver. I am very happy with her 💕!”

“Great experience! Communication was easy and consistent, and I came home to two happy pups. It was such a relief to be able to relax and enjoy my trip knowing they were in good hands.”

“Katie is great! Quick and easy communication and I think our dog Addie really enjoyed seeing a friendly face during the day 😊 I will definitely be booking again!”

“Tawnia came and checked on our cats for a last minute booking. She is very attentive to detail and loving to all our animals. I would book her again in a heartbeat.”

“Emily did an amazing job with our elderly cat! When we got home, everything was as it should be. We got regular updates with pictures. I will definitely ask for Emily again!”

“There’s no better compliment than a repeat customer. Josephine is phenomenal! She’s the most thorough, compassionate, and loving sitter my cats have ever had. When she walks through my door my cats run right up to her. It provides me a lot of comfort when I’m away knowing that Josephine is caring for my fur babies. I will absolutely be using her services in the future when she’s available.”

“Alexis was so thorough and caring when she took care of my cats! Her updates were everything I needed so I didn’t have to worry while I was away. My cats loved her- normally one of them is usually pretty scared with new people and she took so many pictures of him out & about! I would highly recommend her and will definitely use her pet sitting care again when the time comes.”

“This is my first experience with Rover and my first experience leaving my cats to someone else’s car here in New Mexico. I am very pleased and happy with Tabitha. My cats took to her when she came for her meet and greet with them. One cat is anxiety-ridden and the other really doesn’t like new people. So this was a pleasant surprise. I and my cats felt very comfortable setting up a schedule for Tabitha to come visit with them. They were very well taken care of. I would HIGHLY recommend Tabitha to anyone who especially has cats.”

“Jessica was amazing! Every visit she spent quite a bit of time with Archer and sent 1-2 pictures each day, sometimes showing him eating and sometimes showing him getting cuddles. They clearly got along well, and he seemed happy and healthy when we returned. Jessica is quick to respond to texts, and even checked in with us on the last day to make sure we'd get back on time and Archer would be okay.”

“I am so grateful they were able to drop in on such short notice! They also took pictures and were communicative when needed. I would book with them again!”

“Brooke did a wonderful job checking in on our kitty while we were away for a week and a half. Our cat is shy, but warmed up to Brooke after only a few days. Thank you for taking such good care of Nova!”

“My only experience with a dog sitter and I’m so happy we went with them. I have 3 dogs and one is fearful of most things especially humans and he warmed up to them eventually. Thats a huge deal for us and we are beyond grateful to find people we can trust for our pack. ❤️”

“Eden was very flexible in working with me and I'm quite sure that my dog is very happy with her. I liked the info I got from the walk and the pictures were very nice to see. That helped me feel very comfortable that she was in good hands.”

“Hossana did everything just right. And she was so patient with Agate, who was the proverial Scaredy Cat. I was also pleasantly surprised that she watered my plants out in the front yard -- this, in addition to the many things I requested. You go, Hossana! I hope that she will babysit Agate again next year!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Kirtland Air Force Base
Always so great with our cats! Our older cat needed medicine this time around for our second booking with Angela, and we were so thankful to have someone there to make him feel safe and comfortable. Would always recommend to anyone in search of a pet sitter!

Eden is wonderful! Before my trip she stopped by for a meet-up to get to know my cat, and asked very thoughtful and detailed questions about her care. While I was away I received daily updates and pictures which is the usual, but I could tell from the communications that she spent a lot of time playing with my cat, Xena, and even walked her outside on her leash and harness. My house was in great condition when I returned, and Xena was well taken care of. I would absolutely use Eden's services again.

Anika was absolutely wonderful watching my pets while I was away. She took such great care of my two older cats, Khaleesi and Dwight, and also kept up with my younger, very active dog Milo — which is no small task! She was attentive, reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about each of their individual personalities and needs. My older cats were comfortable and relaxed when I returned, and Milo was happy, exercised, and well cared for. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely trust Anika again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Excellent pet sitter. Took great care of my 2 cats over Christmas holiday. Sent me pictures everyday during play and treats. My cats are usually scared of people they don’t know but they came out quickly and were happy to see her. Will definitely be booking again with her for my next vacation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kirtland Air Force Base. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
