“Alexus is very professional, communicative, and accommodating. She has done a great job of caring for my senior pup with anxiety. Cannot recommend enough!”

“Tawnia is great! She’s so patient with my pups, esp since one likes to pull and the other has been defensive of our home. But Tawnia does so well with both pups and we love having her for walks!”

“Hossanna is an incredible dog walker! She's reliable, loves what she does, and always gives thoughtful notes and pictures during her drop ins. I would absolutely recommend booking Hossanna for all your dog care needs.”
“Eden is exceptionally reliable, communicative, and kind towards our boys!!! There has been a noticeable difference in our pup’s demeanor (he’s happier, more playful) but also in the way he handles on leash! I couldn’t be happier with Eden and I hope to be able to be her client for a very long time!”
“Adrienne is awesome! She genuinely cares for your dog as if it’s her own. I have been using her for the last month and will continue to do so! Thanks for everything:)”

“Brooke is the absolute best! She is consistent, punctual, an excellent communicator, and our dog goes nuts when he sees her. I’ve utilized several dog walkers/sitters through Rover in the past but none are as dependable as Brooke.”

About: I started volunteering at vet clinics in 2006. I've been petsitting since 2012, including dogs, cats, exotic birds, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I am experienced with special needs animals, elderlies, and those recovering from surgery. I've completed over 100 volunteer hours walking rescue dogs at Animal Humane New Mexico (AHNM). I am comfortable working with some behavioral challenges. Completed training: 2026 Fear Free Shelters program “Play Groups, Meet-and-Greets, and Dog Fight Response Training.” AHNM 2025 “Advanced Dog Walker Training" AHNM “Calming Canines Training" AHNM 2024 “Safe Dog Walker Training" AHNM I've also been volunteering at spay/neuter events since 2016. Some of my photos are from those. Please note that I am not representing any organization. I work from home and I make my own schedule. I wake up before 6 am so I am available early. Helping out with pets is my favorite thing to do! Outside the home or your fenced yard, dogs will be on-leash and distanced from other animals and people. I do not mix animals from different homes.
“Jenny has been an amazing caretaker for my 8.5 year old shepherd/doberman pup. She's excellent with communication and very flexible for daily walks while I'm at work. When I get home, my dog is clearly well exercised and taken care of. I highly recommend Jenny (but also please don't steal her from us)!”

“Marilee did a wonderful job taking care of our dog, Zori. She followed our care instructions perfectly and was extremely reliable and communicative. We loved that she took extra time to make Zori feel safe and comfortable by sitting with him, giving him treats, and playing with him in the yard. During every walk, Marilee sent a detailed update with pictures, which gave us complete peace of mind. We would highly recommend Marilee to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Elliot has been a joy! They are so kind and patient with our sweet old lady who has been quite anxious from a recent move. It’s been a huge relief knowing we’ve found someone who can give our girl some love and attention on our long days at work.”

About: I am a friend to all dogs and cats! I have had pets all my life and love taking care of fur babies. I work in food service and am generally always available for a drop in, daycare, and especially a home for the holidays. I have a small, blind dog of my own. I am also experienced with giving medicine in case your little one has any conditions which require said service. Whether it's going for a long walk around the neighborhood or taking a trip to the dog park, I promise your pets will be happy and safe with me! I work mostly on weekends during the day, so most other days and times I have open availability. Whether it's a drop in or walk, it is very easy for me to add to my regular routine. I care for every animal by giving them love and attention. I am the kind of person who enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they know they are safe and well cared for.
About: I lost my sixteen-year-old fur baby in October, 2018 and find myself missing that special energy only pets can bring. I have been caring for various pets for my friends and family for about 20 years and have done drop ins and overnight visits. I do have a full-time 8-5:30, Monday-Friday (and many Saturdays) job however, and am not available to provide constant care for pets. I do have more than enough time to devote myself to the love and care of your fur baby. In my home, in my life, dogs and cats are family and deserve the same love, care, and respect that human beings deserve. Perhaps more. While I have more experience with dogs I haven’t met a cat I couldn’t win over. Rest assured that if you place the care of your beloved pets in my hands they will be well loved while you are out of town. Your home will be cared for as well. I do have a “regular” 8 am to 5 pm job. My evenings and nights are free. Weekends are also more flexible for me when it comes to spending quality time with your baby. I am not able to provide constant care. I live in an apartment complex so I am more than happy to visit your fur baby in their own environment. I want to make sure your pets are as comfortable as possible so I’d prefer to maintain the schedule and comfort they’re used to.

About: I have grown up with animals and love them all dearly <3 I have my own cat and dog at home and have helped out watching friends' animals since I was very little. I'd love to meet your cutie and help out! I am currently working part time or contract gigs until I head off to grad school in August! This makes my schedule flexible for all needs. I am a respectful, polite, conscientious person. I will make sure your pet is properly taken care of and leave your home the exact same way it was when I arrive. Depending on your pets needs, I will happily take them on one of my runs!
About: Hi, I’m Avery (Julie)! At the moment I do not have any pets of my own…yet keep dog treats in my mailbox for passers by. I have had dogs and cats in my life since I can remember. I have had 5 dogs at a time, and know how to lead, and listen. Highly intuitive and super happy person who genuinely cares about connection with animals. I am a communicative person and can definitely assist in helping with your pets - keeping you informed of their well being. Currently I am available on week nights after 4pm, and weekends, yet I retire very soon so will have time to attend during the week days. My home is very comfortable and there is enough space for pets to have room to explore. I have a fenced front and back yard. I also have a cooled sunroom that will also be available for summer or windy days.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kirtland Air Force Base
If I could give Alexus 100 stars I would!! She made sure she knew all of my dog’s regular routine & quirks before caring for him to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. She also kept me updated and took lots of pictures. I felt such a peace of mind while being gone.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
