Emily is an amazing pet care giver. She reliably walked and/ or played with my dog for two weeks. She was very patient with him in the beginning as they got to know one another and now they are best buds. She updated me daily on his care and habits. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her services.

About: I have had pets of many varieties my whole life. I have taken the most care of dogs and cats, and I feel I understand their behavior and how to meet their needs. I currently have two senior dogs I've had since they were puppies. My upbeat, bubbly personality makes it easy for me to play and connect with most animals. I look forward to meeting and caring for your fur baby! Right now my schedule is open in the afternoons during the week. I am available to hang out with your pets anytime after 12pm M-F, and I am willing to be flexible for the right client. I am a detail oriented rule-follower, if you sent out instructions on how to walk, play with, or otherwise care for your pet I will follow it to a T. I understand the stress and worry of leaving pets home alone while you work and of finding the right person to watch them, so I will do what I can to put those fears to rest. I prefer to give detailed communication with pet owners so they can know what is going on with their pet at all times while I am with them.

About: Hi! My name is Maggie and I would love the opportunity to take care of your dog or kitty!! My husband and I have 2 large dogs (German Shepherd - Border Collie mix named Kuzco, and a Lab mix puppy named Jamie - I am obsessed with them!), I also have a huge soft spot for kitties as I grew up in a household of 3 cats, and we hope to adopt a cat soon! I have experience volunteering at a shelter focusing on socializing the cats, as well as experience pet-sitting for both dogs and cats, and I worked as a dog walker for 2 poodles throughout my childhood.I love playing with cats and dogs, taking our dogs to the dog park, training Jamie, and especially taking long walks with the 3 of us together! I am mature, responsible, and communicative, and I am committed to taking care of your pet as I would take care of my own! I work close to home and I am available in mornings and afternoons / evenings for pet care, I am also usually available on weekends. I love to take buddies out for a good solid walk, play with your kitty or pup, and of course, give all the snuggles (unless you let me know otherwise!).

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, from Yorkies to German Shepherds. Providing the love and care to other dogs while you’re away is my priority! To give you the peace of mind your fur baby is both physically and mentally stimulated during our time together. I am very active, love going on hikes and finding new parks in the area! I am in the end of my surgical residency making my schedule relatively flexible. While I am unable to have a dog of my own full time, I can care and love for others in the mean time! While I do live in an apartment, there is a park with walking trails right across the street that I walk daily. Staying active is an essential part of my life!

While I do not have any pets of my own right now, I would love to help care for yours whether it be feeding, walking, playing, loving on them or more. About: I have cared for an array of animals over the years including dogs, cats, reptiles, chickens and even pet rats! I deeply enjoy time spent with animals which is why housesitting has always been ideal for me! I myself have multiple dogs and cats that are well cared for and your animals will receive the same attention and care! I am a student at UNM, so most morning I do have to head to campus around 9-10 am. All morning care would be handled before then. My classes have me on campus no longer than 4-5 hours before I would be able to check on your animals. Weekends I work 6-9 hour shifts, but if care requires less gaps between visits this time can be taken off to give your pets around the clock care. This would require at minimum 2 weeks notice and cannot be guaranteed. I am comfortable giving pill or liquid medication for your pets. As well as walking any size dog as long as some leash training is in place. I normally will wash the sheets and towels used if staying overnight! I am very cleanly and will leave your home and pets clean or cleaner than when yall left!

About: I love animals and have taken care of dogs and cats of many different kinds for 15 years. As an owner of both a dog (Beary) and a cat (Fufu), I understand the different needs of both. I’m very attentive to feeding schedules, mood changes, and exercise needs. What sets me apart: Full Overnight Availability: I have reliable support for my own pets at home, which allows me to stay at your house overnight and focus entirely on your pets without needing to leave. Professional Trust: I am a regular, trusted dog walker for my therapist and neighbors in the local area. Observation Skills: I closely monitor behavior and eating habits to ensure every pet is healthy and happy. Clean & Respectful: As a student, I am quiet and organized. I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I have a very structured and organized routine. Because I am taking mostly online courses, my schedule allows me plenty of time for drop-in or full time visits, and I have reliable support at home for my own pets, which gives me the freedom to stay overnight at your house without any distractions. I am punctual, dedicated, and stay highly communicative with regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you're away. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life. I truly believe pets are family, and I take their care seriously, especially when it comes to patience, routine, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m also a regular dog walker for my therapist and several neighbors in my local area, where I am known for being reliable and safety focused. When I’m in your home, I provide a calm, steady presence. I follow your house rules and routines exactly as you like them, and I prioritize keeping a clean and safe environment for your fur babies. My goal is to give you genuine peace of mind while you're away.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I cared for all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to goats and chickens. Today, I share my home with three dogs and three cats, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find a pet sitter you can trust. I know that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles or just a calm companion, I’m committed to giving them the attention and care they deserve. I treat every animal like family because that’s exactly what they are. I currently work remote with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable and attentive care throughout the day. Since I can work from almost anywhere with my laptop, I have the flexibility to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, and check-ins as needed. I am typically available in the afternoons and evenings for longer walks, playtime, and one-on-one attention. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of maintaining a pet’s routine and ensuring they receive the care, exercise, and companionship they need while you’re away. When caring for pets in a clients home, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and making sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I take the time to learn each pets routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I treat every home with the same respect I would expect for my own. During visits, I ensure pets have fresh water, receive plenty of attention and affection, and that doors, gates, and other potential hazards are secure before I leave. I also provide updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. As a pet owner myself, I understand that trust is incredibly important, and I strive to provide dependable, attentive care for every pet I meet.

About: I have past experience in administering medicine including insulin and pills, as well as cleaning litter boxes, picking up dog poop, and feeding bearded dragons. I'm a college student working at a restaurant, but I am available throughout the day between school and work, and at nights. Overall pet sitting fits into my schedule just as well as any average person. I have a cat in my home who is vaccinated and well cared for, so if a pet is coming to my home it must be OK around cats, my cat is also used to dogs and other animals, although I would prefer to watch animals at their house. I care for them by feeding them according to their schedule, always providing fresh water, and taking them on any necessary walks, or runs, and of course cleaning up the poop or puke that occurs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
