About: I’ve taken care of friends and neighbors animals all throughout college so I have lots of experience! I’m very nurturing and kind and I even have my own kitty that is very friendly. I have a flexible work schedule so I’m work from home most days. I love to go to the gym and go on walks. I am a home body so on the weekends I like to cook and prepare for the week. A typical day with your animal looks like playtime in the morning and a walk in the evening! If it’s a cat I make sure to play throughout the day and especially at night so they and I sleep well! If I am going to your home I will read and relax with them when I’m not playing with them and I will feed based on your schedule for your pet.
“Fiery is great with our dogs. She’s been very flexible about doing multiple drop-ins in preparation for a 10-day overnight. These visits have increased our comfort level with leaving our babies for that long.”

About: Every pet deserves love, patience, and personalized care. Having cared for animals my entire life—from dogs and cats to birds, ducks, and chickens—I understand that every pet is unique. I’ll treat your furry or feathered family member with the same attention and care I’d give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my day around your pet’s needs, whether that means early morning walks, midday drop-ins, evening visits, or overnight stays. I enjoy spending quality time with animals and make it a priority to give each pet the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your family member, so I’ll always follow your routines, instructions, and preferences closely. Whether we’re out for a walk, playing at the park, or relaxing at home, I’ll provide attentive, loving care while keeping your pet safe, happy, and well cared for. Regular updates and photos are always included so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I have been consistently pet sitting for over 7 years Responsible for animal care (medical needs, walking, feeding, taking them to groomers, vets, etc.). I am currently working part time and am available for overnight pet care if they are okay for the hours I do have work. I also love walking and am available from 12 to 10pm four days out of the week. My schedule does change on a weekly basis but am very good about communication for repeat clients. I'm happy to follow any special instructions, including administering medications if needed, and I'll send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away!

“Tessa was awesome and so attentive. She sent lots of great pics of Gidget and took great care of her. We had a snag in our travel plans and came back a day later and she was very flexible and communicative and made it easy to add a day to her scheduled visits. I will definitely request her next time we go out of town!”

“Marliee was great! She took really great care of my sweet kitty Takoyaki. She is super responsive to texts and requests, and is very attentive and goes above and beyond! She is a crazy cat lady in the best way possible. My cat loved her! I would definitely recommend her services.”

“Eden did a great job looking after my cat while I was out of town for an extended trip. Several photos were included of each drop-in visit, and she was quick to respond to messages.”

About: I’ve always had a variety of pets in my house. Growing up my family cared for dogs, turtles, fish, hamsters, frogs, hermit crabs, and chickens. We never owned a cat because my mom is allergic to them but since I moved in with my auntie during university, I have lived with one and have loved it! With my grandma, we currently have 6 dogs! We had two (a chihuahua mixed with poodle and another mixed dog) who are the parents of the other four. I was the only one in my house present when my doggy gave birth to all her babies and I was more than excited to be there with her :) I’m a full-time university student at NMSU. I made this account because I plan to be available everyday during my breaks. This might change for a couple of days but I’m not sure yet. Since I will be on break I also plan to be available nights and weekends. My dogs are family dogs and live outside. I don’t have a house of my own but live with my grandma and mom along with my three siblings and one cousin. The dogs are cared for amongst all family members.
“My senior rescue dog loved Nicolle! She can be a little shy with new people, but she took to Nicolle right away. She followed all of my instructions and sent me detailed updates. I’ll be booking Nicolle again in the future!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Growing up my family had horses, geese, cats, dogs, and chickens. I have a plethora of experience working with animals of all kinds. Bathing, walking, feeding, I have experience in it all. I am an experienced sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your pup. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures with dogs. Some people have told me I’m a dog whisperer at times… I have yet to prove them wrong. I'm working part-time right now, and having just graduated college I now have plenty of time and energy for caring for your pet! I am fairly flexible about my time and so I can work with you and whatever schedule you may have! I am currently living in an apartment with two other furry friends, a cat, and a dog! Both are friendly but space is limited. I am not able to care for other pets in the home as space is limited. I am able to take them out for long jaunts in the neighborhood and give plenty of care and attention along the way.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Albuquerque
We hired Levi to watch our cats while gone for 3 weeks out of the country. He did multiple daily checks that involved several tasks, including litter management, feeding, playing, and also took care of our plants. He was easy to get ahold of and is great to work with. Will definitely be using him again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Albuquerque. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
