“This was our first time using Rover and it couldn't have been a better experience. Natalie was incredibly awesome. Very easy to work with and was awesome with our dog. We enjoyed reading the cards each day to see how she was and seeing the photos as well was very nice. When we use the app in the future, Natalie is our first choice!”

“Emma took very good care of our fur baby. Came over in morning and than again in the afternoon. Let our girl out and played and fead her. Was on Short notice. Will use her again if needed.”

“Cheyne, P., took care of my 2 cats after I had surgery. She showed up on time, spent time with them, and did all the tasks on the to-do list. I will definitely contact her when I start traveling to take care of the animals and the house. Thank you so much, Cheyne, for all the love and care you give to all the animals you encounter. I enjoyed the pictures you showed me of your happy furry family members. Lynn S.”

“Whitney is fantastic! I will always book with her going forward. One of my cats who is very adverse to people adored Whitney and it shocked me to my core, which is also an amazing sign. My pups and cats were well cared for and Whitney followed all of our care instructions to the tee. She worked with our puppy and taught her a trick. She was super communicative and sent check-ins every hour! I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be in our home and watch our animals.”

As well as Animal Psychology, Veterinary Support Assistant, and Animal Grooming. I could not imagine a life without pets, growing up with pets of all kinds, I have a deep love and understanding of the patience, time, and love that goes into any pet and how they complete a home. I look forward to meeting any new pet and sharing my time with them, getting to know who they are. If you would like to learn more about me, check out my website: whiskerkiss (dot) com I work full-time, partial days in office during the week and partial days during the week at home. I have standard weekends at home. Evenings I am at home. For boarding, I have a enclosed/fenced dog area. With seasonal shade cover over a portion of the dog area. It is directly attached to my patio and both the dog area and patio are contained with tall fencing to mitigate other animals from entering the area. We do slow introductions with any guest pets and my own pups as I know it can be overwhelming at first for each party. My pups are very friendly with other pets and love to run around and play once everyone gets acclimated.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. Since I was 12, it’s been my responsibility to take care of our English Setter. This began with me helping to train him. My role was to reinforce the lessons taught at the PetSmart classes. I’ve regularly walked, bathed, and taken to the vet our dog as well. I love animals of all kinds and care a lot about giving them the loving attention they deserve. I currently work part time 6 days a week, with Sundays off. I work from home, and regularly have mornings and early afternoons completely available. I have more than enough time for several appointments just about every day of the week. At the moment I do not own any pets, as my landlord does not allow it. I am unable to provide any services that would require my home. But I’ve lived with and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, with great regularly since I was 12. I know what I’m doing when it comes to our furry companions. I’d love to provide walks, visits, and any other services I can.
“Desirea was exactly what we were looking for — someone to come check on our cat, give her some love, attention, and play time, and feed her in the morning. She even was willing to come over and meet me and my cat ahead of time to get to know us. She sent us pictures and was very easy to communicate with the whole time. We’ll definitely reach back out to her the next time we’re headed out of town!”

About: I used to work for a company that did house soft and dog training. 12 years of animal experience. I will check on animals and attend to them no matter the circumstances. I used to be a dog trainer and can help teach many cues. I work during the day but during the night and weekends I can help. I work full time at an animal shelter as a behavior Specialist. I can care for the animals overnight and before and after work. If needed I can do an afternoon check in. I work from 9am to 6pm at my other job. I treat the clients pet like my own. I feed them and care for them. I want to build a relationship with them and make them feel safe.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give to every pet. I treat every animal as if they were my own: learning their quirks, routines, and comfort zones so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I’m patient with shy or anxious pets and full of energy for playful ones! Whether it’s long walks, extra cuddle time, or sticking to a specific feeding schedule, I make sure your pet gets personalized care and love. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine! I plan my days around walks, playtime, and check-ins to make sure every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I love spending time outdoors and being active, so walks and visits fit perfectly into my lifestyle. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in, it’s something I truly enjoy every day. When I care for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping everything as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions carefully. From feeding schedules and walks, to medication or specific routines. I spend quality time with each pet so they feel loved and secure, and I always make sure your home is respected and left tidy. I want you to come back to a happy pet and a peaceful home.
“Alex was responsible took amazing care of my elderly cat while I was away for 4 days. She was really responsive and I was confident he was safe and well cared for. I will absolutely reach out to Alex again when I need Oliver needs a friend again in the future!”

“Leaving our cats and dog with someone new made me nervous, but Luca completely exceeded my expectations. Luca came for a meet-and-greet beforehand and asked questions about our cats and dog's routine. Luca sent multiple photos daily, giving total peace of mind. I highly recommend and will absolutely booking again.”

About: I’ve always had a genuine love and respect for animals of all kinds. Caring for them isn’t just a job to me—it’s something I truly enjoy and take seriously. I have extensive experience around dogs through my father, who breeds and trains dogs for protection sports, so I’m comfortable and confident handling dogs of all sizes, including large and high-drive breeds. I’m patient, attentive, and always focused on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m also passionate about learning more about canine behavior and training, with the long-term goal of becoming a certified dog trainer and participating in dog shows. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, some extra attention, or simply a calm and caring companion, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. ❤️ I have a flexible schedule and am available most days and times. I’m happy to work around your routine and accommodate your pet’s needs. I am really good at communicating any schedule changes. I care for every pet with patience, attention, and respect for their individual personality and routine. In my home or a client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, exercise, affection, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, walks, playtime, and any special routines. My goal is to give pets the same love, structure, and attention they receive from their own family.
About: I’ve cared for a variety of different critters throughout my life, ranging from dogs and cats to exotic animals and livestock. I’ve had pets of my own in addition to volunteering at the Bernalillo County animal shelter as a teen. I’ve fostered several animals until they found their forever homes and am deeply invested in providing animals the best care possible! Many older pets end up needing special care and I have plenty of experience in administering medications and accommodating physical disabilities. Your pet’s health matters to me and I am happy to follow specific instructions for them, no matter how detailed and particular. I currently have 3 cats and 5 fish tanks full of aquatic critters. If you need aquarium services in addition to your furry friends, I’m more than happy to oblige! I’ve pet sat for many different animals over the years, from tiny kittens to horses and chickens. Most of the animals I’ve cared for have been reoccurring arrangements because of the bond I’ve built with the animals. I look forward to creating those bonds with yours too! I’m a self employed artist and therefore have a lot of flexibility in my scheduling! I’ve done pop-ins for friends as early as 7am and as late as 11pm so whatever time you need will not be an issue. Whether you need someone for pop-ins while you’re at work or longer stretches of time with your pet, I’m your gal! I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have for your pets, no matter how particular! Animals are individuals just like us and that means they often have their own quirks. I’ve cared for more anxious animals (and hyperactive ones) and will do whatever they need to feel comfortable during their time with me. Animal mental health is also important to me, so you can expect that I will spend time during every visit to give them mental stimulation and enrichment as well (whatever that looks like for your particular pet). Please don’t hesitate to tell me about your animal’s particular needs and sensitivities. We all deserve to feel comfortable and happy in our own home and I want them to feel that way when I’m around too!
“For some reason my cat didn’t want to come out for Sarah, but I believe she did everything I asked. She worked with my schedule and responded to requests. My door wasn’t fully closed when I got back, which was concerning but luckily no one got in or out, so this didn’t end up impacting the cat or security.”

“Kerianne was an amazing cat sitter. She did everything I asked perfectly with my senior cat that requires daily medicine. Her daily notes were great and thorough. I didnt have to worry at all while away for a long weekend. I would highly recommend her!”

“I’m so lucky to have found Natasha! She loved my kitty like her own — gave her snuggles, treats, medication, and sent tons of cute photos. I’d happily book with Natasha again. So grateful for her loving care. :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
