About: Ever since I can remember, I've had a furry friend by my side. I've had dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and birds. I'll be more than happy to hang out with whatever species your babies are! I work nights, so im available pretty much every day to check in on your pets and/or take them on a walk. I work nights, so I'm available from 9-4 for walks and drop-ins. Since I am new to rover, my schedule may change as I get the hang of it, but I will keep my profile updated! At this time, I will only be servicing pets in their own homes, as I have a reactive puppy in my own home that I am working on socializing. I will follow whatever house rules and requests you give me, just please be clear and concise! :)

About: I have 10 years of experience caring for pets of my own but have had pets my entire life. Throughout my childhood we had dogs, cats and even guinea pigs in our home. Now, my family and I have both a German Shepherd and a Long-Haired Cat that we dote on. I'm the friend in the group who everyone reaches out to when they go away on weekend trips or have crazy work days that keep them away from their pets. I'm adaptable and comfortable around all types of dogs and cats. I'm a firm believer in open communication so you can expect pictures and updates on how your pets are doing! When I come to care for and play with your animals I will give my full focus to them, just as you would. I'm available for drop ins and for dog walks. I'm comfortable feeding and giving water to your animals and I'm well versed in administering pill medications. I am available 7 days a week for drop-ins and dog walking services. I care for pets by giving them love and attention. I love to play with dogs in their yard or in a safe area in their home. If your dog loves to go on walks then I'm happy to do so with them. I'm attentive during walks to ensure that we're in a safe environment. If your dog likes mentally stimulating games, I can do that too! I enjoy playing with cats and finding out their favorite ways to burn off energy. My best resource for how best to take care of your pets is you! So if there's something specific that your pets need, don't hesitate to let me know so that I can do my best to accommodate!

About: I have over 16 years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, reptiles and fish. (I am a fast learner and would love to care for animals outside of these as well!) I also have experience giving medication to pets. I do currently work part time (4 hour shifts) But will update my availability as often as possible! I work about 2-3 days a week. I will follow your instructions on how you care for your pet exactly. About: I grew up in a house full of animals. As long as I can remember, my family has lived with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, lizards, frogs, snails, salamanders and all manner of wild backyard critters as well to attend. I was raised to respect these animals as well as attend to their needs. I believe love and respect go hand-in-hand, and I love creatures of all shapes and sizes! Since I was old enough to babysit, I was also pet-sitting! I believe that animals are not only our friends and our kindred spirits, but also our duty to care for well. I spent time working as a pet nutritional expert at a store in Austin, TX, and that experience only increased my passion for animals and their well-being. I love to travel, and know that it makes all the difference to leave someone you trust with your critters. My headline includes my vision statement; I endeavor to become a friend to your pet, and while you're away, provide my full presence, my dedicated care, and my joy at being with them. I work at two museums in Albuquerque on weekdays, but live in Bernalillo. I'm a graduate student at UNM, so my class schedule is mostly afternoons right now. My cat's a rather needy fellow, so he's happiest when I'm home. I make sure to make time to spend with him on weekends, mornings, and evenings, and spend time making up for missed cuddles then. I keep his areas very clean, he drinks only from a fountain, and I keep him to a strict feeding schedule (much to his chagrin and occasional break-in attempts of the food container). My frogs, Gus and Markl, need live food once a week and clean water every day, and I maintain a heat lamp schedule for them as well, as well as regular maintenance to their bioactive terrarium. When my parents are out of town, I take care of our two dogs, Lilo and Clara, and nine chickens. The dogs need to be walked, the chickens need to be fed and their eggbox cleaned, and there's lots to do to make sure everyone is comfortable. Lilo's pretty anxious, and Clara's getting up in years, so I make time in my work schedule to return home midday to check on them if I'm out and about. Depending on your pet's needs, I'm flexible in terms of schedule. :) It's important to me that you are confident in your pets' safety and comfort. I will not take dogs outside without a leash, unless they are in a fenced-in yard, and I don't let cats outside unleashed on principle as I believe this makes them a danger to themselves, other cats, and smaller animals. You can expect photos from me of your pets if you'd like them, and if they let me I'll happily clean out eye-boogers, snuggle with them, and ensure that they have love and companionship during the stressful time you're away.

My habit is to bring my own supplies, so when you get home, everything is how you left it. I have a ukulele and I sing familiar covers, so I’ll mention it now in case the neighbors mention something about it. (I have yet to have a dog howl as I sang, though the huskies were very talkative.) Drop-In: Depending on our discussion during the Meet & Greet, I will swing by your house according to the schedule we’ve set up. I will make sure the water is fresh and the food bowl has plenty of food. (My job is to make sure the animal(s) know they are being cared for and that they don’t have to stress about whether or not they will starve to death - I’m thinking of cats especially here who see the bottom of the food bowl and start to panic. Not on my watch!) Walk: I’ll be at your house at the time(s) we’ve discussed, put on the collar and leash, and set out on the adventure. My habit is to sing as I walk so that any other critter has a chance to get out of sight - a lesson learned by startling a skunk. It is important that I know if the neighborhood is friendly or if folks keep to themselves. Do(es) the dog(s) visit friends on the trail? or should I keep them on their own?

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, giving me firsthand experience with their unique personalities, needs, and proper care. More recently, I was a member on another pet sitting website when I was a student at a university in Paris,France, where I had experience taking care of dogs and cats in my own apartment for a few different families for a period of time. The best part about watching pets is the pleasure I get from being able to give them love while their owners were away. I’ll be home in New Mexico for a few months before I return to Paris so my availability is completely open. I can watch pets any day and any hour. He’s on a Hill’s Science Diet prescription food due to urinary tract issues, so I’m very strict about his diet to prevent kidney stones and keep him healthy. Managing his care has made me very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and health monitoring. Because of that, I understand how important consistency is. During walks, I keep dogs on a secure leash and harness, monitor them closely for traffic, other dogs, or hazards, and adjust pace to each dog’s comfort and energy level. At home, I supervise interactions with Curly carefully, ensure doors and gates are always closed, and separate dogs when needed to maintain a calm, safe environment. I provide daily walks, structured routine, and plenty of attention. I follow each owner’s feeding schedule carefully and stick strictly to any dietary instructions, as I understand how important that is from managing my own dog Curly’s prescription diet.

I grew up with several rescue dogs, from small to large, and breeds of all sorts. Therefore, I learned the responsibility of caring for and walking dogs at a very young age.
