About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I learned at a young age that pets bring me the biggest joy. Whether it’s feeding, playing, bathing, or just hanging out seems like the perfect time for me. I currently have an open schedule and am open for any opportunity that comes! What a better way to spend most of me free time getting to know your furry friend! I live in a 1 bedroom and have two very friendly and sassy cats. My apartment has two floor to ceiling windows that face a huge tree with plenty of birds stoping by that my cats love and am sure yours will too. My partner and I live a very minimal lifestyle and prioritize our cats to have the most of the space; cats shelf’s, hammocks and plenty of good hiding spots.

“Fiona was super patient and kind with our timid little dog! She was also very accommodating to our schedule changes. We will definitely book again. Thank you, Fiona!!”

“Sophia was an amazing cat sitter! My cat can be difficult and she was very patient and kind and still played with him everyday. She even helped me water my plants. Really appreciated the quick and clear communication. Would definitely hire sophia to watch Killua again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and experienced walker based in NYC. I grew up with a Bichon Frise who was part of my life for 17 wonderful years, so I know firsthand how much pets mean to their families. As a former Division I athlete, I bring discipline, focus, and reliability to every walk or pet-sitting job. I've walked over 80 dogs through Wag and maintained a consistent five-star rating, working with breeds of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. From energetic puppies to slower paced seniors, I tailor my care to meet your dog’s unique needs. I’m building my dog care business on Rover because this is something I’m truly passionate about. I take pride in offering top tier care, clear communication, and peace of mind for pet parents. Whether it’s a quick walk or play time, I’m here to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and well cared for. Let’s connect, I’d love to meet you and your pup! During the summer months, I’m available all day on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I’m happy to be flexible and work around your schedule whenever possible. If your dog has specific needs whether it's a slower paced walk, medication, extra playtime, or anything in between. I’m open to discussing accommodations to ensure your pup is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Just reach out, and we’ll make it work! Your dog’s safety is my top priority. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I gave my own for 17 years. Whether we’re walking through busy NYC streets or relaxing indoors, I stay alert and fully present to make sure your dog is safe, secure, and comfortable at all times. I always use secure leashes and harnesses, avoid high traffic areas when needed, and follow any specific instructions you provide whether it’s feeding, medications, or preferred walking routes. I'm also experienced in handling a wide range of dog temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior dogs with special needs. As someone who’s earned a 5-star rating on Wag walking over 80 dogs, I understand how important trust is when it comes to your pet. Communication, reliability, and transparency are at the heart of everything I do. You can rest easy knowing your dog is in good hands with someone who genuinely cares.

About: I grew up with a Golden Retriever named Holly and always took care of neighborhood pets. Now I have two wonderful large dogs, a German Shepherd / Lab mix and a Golden Retriever. They are sweet, cuddly dogs who don't realize they aren't lap dog sized and love to squish me! I have experience with dogs from young puppies to older dogs and love them at every age. I am a patient caretaker who can throw the tennis ball down the hallway endlessly and I always stop for belly rubs if a dog invites it. I tend to do 5-10 minutes of basic training a day (sit, paw, touch, lay down, drop, leave it, wait, off) for reinforcement and I'd be happy to include your dogs in that short practice if you'd like! I am also comfortable giving oral medications on a timed schedule, and we have scheduled mealtimes in this household (breakfast and dinner) because this helps with one of my dogs' anxiety – he loves a routine. One of my dogs is allergic to wheat and shellfish so I am very mindful of food allergies if your dog has any, and if your dog is protective of their food, I have fed food aggressive dogs in a separate room with a closed door so they feel comfortable and safe to eat. There is a private fenced in yard for this ground level apartment, so your dog will have access to the bathroom as often as they need. I don't mind cleaning up messes if they are struggling with potty training and will support them in learning as much as I can. Dogs are family in this house and they are allowed on the couch and on the bed and there are cozy dog beds and rugs if they prefer those. Neither of my dogs are at all territorial and are happy to share toys and beds with new friends. If your dog is crate-trained, there is ample space for their crate and that can be in the bedroom where we all sleep, or in a separate quiet room if that's what they need to settle down. While I worked through my dog's leash reactivity to the point where he can pass triggers without reacting, I am experienced in walking dogs that are reactive to other dogs, runners, bikes, scooters, buses, big trucks, cars, and anything that goes fast. I'm skilled at safely crossing the street, shifting your dog into a safe zone, and proactively communicating with other pet owners before an interaction can happen. Both of my dogs are large dogs and one of them had to wear a muzzle before going on walks while in training, so I am comfortable and capable of walking a dog with a muzzle as well. I also love to take a cute pet photo or video and I am happy to keep you updated via photos and little stories about their day if you'd like! I know I love seeing my pets having fun on their own little vacation and I can keep you updated as much or as little as you want. I am on a fellowship year from August 2024-September 2025, which is a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday commitment. The rest of my week, I'm excited to care for your pets! And of course, every day of the week, I take care of my own two wonderful dogs. Your pet will be right at home in my clean, safe home with a fenced in yard. This means your pet will always have access to the bathroom, as frequently as they need. There are lovely walks to the waterfront and green parks nearby. I am very detail-oriented and I am behavior and allergy conscious — as a pet parent with a dog who is allergic to wheat and shellfish with a history of anxiety and leash reactivity, I've developed many strategies to keep the dogs in my care feeling comfortable and secure. In the home, there will be my two friendly dogs, a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd / Lab Mix. They love to chase the ball up and down the hallway and take naps in the sunshine. We are a very accommodating household — in the past, the dogs and I have co-existed very peacefully with food aggressive dogs and simply fed them separately behind closed doors. For quieter dogs, there are lots of great napping spots, and for more active dogs, we go on long walks with plenty of things to sniff. If there's anything you or your pet need to feel more comfortable with their walk or stay, I'm open to discussion and will do my absolute best to accommodate!

Irena H.
“Irena has been a long-time trusted caretaker and companion for my dog Marzi when we are in Brooklyn. Marzi looks forward to seeing Irena like it is the highlight of her puppy life, which it often is given how generous with her time and loving Irena is with her. As someone who has always been nervous to trust my doggo in someone else's care, I quickly knew I could trust Irena with Marzi's wellbeing on walks and overnights. She has been diligent about learning the specifics of my girl and has nurtured a trusting relationship between the two of them so that Marzi feels comfortable and confident in Irena's presence. Irena is skilled with working with dietary allergies and other doggy medical conditions. She is excellent with large breed dogs and has impressed me with her ability to walk dogs of varying strength levels. At the end of the day, Marzi has fallen in love with Irena and, while that makes me jokingly a little jealous, it is deeply meaningful to know Marzi trusts another human so fully. We highly recommend!”
