About: Known to be dependable, trustworthy, and caring, I've been a regular dog sitter/walker for 8+ years and cared for family pets my whole life. Most of the dogs have been higher needs with anxiety, special diets, medicine, routines, etc. I've even watched a Macaw! My goal is to keep your dog in their regular schedule with just as much care as you would typically provide. I'm training for a trail race and would love some canine companions on the trails! You can expect regular updates from me so you know your pet is being well taken care of! Flexible remote job, looking to book a few walks or visits (love pets & cuddles!) during the day to help dogs who are home for large chunks of time and need a break and/or some exercise! Dogs often feel more comfortable at their own house and that is what I prefer to offer. I have a cute doggie of my own at my home and can't accept boarding requests.

About: I have been walking and pet sitting since I was a kid. It was one of my first jobs. I love all dogs and can’t wait to walk your little buddy! I am between jobs and want to spend all of my free time with animals. I would love to hang with your furry friend while you’re busy. I am extremely careful and attentive to pups on walks. I have a keen attention to detail and will be certain they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.

About: I’ve taken care of and owned many different kinds of dogs (and animals). I grew up on a farm and have lots of experience. I am honest and reliable. Being a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to give attention to our fur babies. Regularly walking, petting, scratching, feeding is like second nature. Fur babies become part of everyday routine. The health and happiness of our animals is dependent on our level of commitment. I pride myself on my 100% commitment to my pets and the pets I take care of. I live in an apartment, so regular walking and playing is absolutely necessary. I live very close to several dog parks/off leash areas. I frequent them with my own dog. I can easily crate your baby if needed. I set alerts to make sure any meds are administered and make them as comfortable as possible. Lots of cuddling if they want it!

About: I have a long history of both owning and caring for dogs. To me, a fur baby is family and any pet left under my care are treated with the same love and affection as I would with my own. I would be honored to spoil your pup (with what you and your fur baby are comfortable with). I have experience caring for many different sizes, temperaments, personalities, limitations, and quirks that dogs come with. Special skills include: - Senior dog needs - Medication administration - Reactive dogs - Anxiety calming and comforting - Special needs (public restrictions, no kids, etc.) - Allergies - High energy - High maintenance - Physical exercise - Sensitivities Pet care is my full-time job. All of my time and energy will be focused on making your fur baby comfortable, loved, and well-cared for. I am home 24/7 except for the occasional social outing with friends. Furry friends are my top priority and I take every step necessary to ensure they are cared for and loved like family during their stay. I am very active and love taking pups for any length of walk or park time that they need or enjoy. I am with your babies all day and I treat them like they are my own. I provide lots of love, snuggles, play time, and am happy to give them as much (or little) attention as they need. While I love to spoil our fur friends, I adhere to your instructions, always, and can provide as many updates and photos of your pup as you'd like. We have a fully fenced large backyard (for Portland) and I supervise all furry friends outside when the weather is cooperating. We have a fenced dog run that is lit, with dog door access for your babies if they need to relieve themselves immediately. Dogs are allowed on our furniture and in the bed during the day for snuggles. In a clients home, I follow every instruction left for care of your fur baby and try to leave all homes better than I left. I will never leave your dog in any state other calm and relaxed. I take great care to ensure that your property is secured when I leave and can follow any instructions for key care, lockbox codes, etc. including key pick-up and drop-off.

About: One of my passions in life is pets and caring for them. As a graduate from Carrington College in veterinary assisting I learned valuable skills such as understanding animal behavior, CPR, nail trims and administering medications. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, hampsters, lizards, fish, frogs and feel comfortable with nearly any type of pet. What I bring to pet care is a strong connection to animals, I feel a sense of responsibility and need to care for them and be their new best friend. I will always talk to pets & their owners when I see them on a bus, walking down the street, or in an outside restaurant. I am vegan, as I feel that all animals should be treated well. I do not impose my views on anyone but am happy to talk about it and offer advice if asked. OUTSIDE REVIEWS Heather took care of my young and active miniature Australian Labradoodle Maggie for 3 nights. She stayed at my home and did an amazing job. I came home to a calm and happy dog and my house was just as I left it . Maggie loved her and she loved Maggie. I felt 100 % confident that she was in good hands. She has experience with animals, loves them and has even had vet tech training in the past. Previously, when I left Maggie with a sitter for 3 days she didn’t eat and lost a pound, but with Heather she was just as I left her. I was delighted. Heather gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 I am free just about any time and duration, and can go anywhere that Tri-Met can take me if it's an hour or less travel time. I will take your dog to a park if it's within walking distance, or walk around the neighborhood, or play/run around in the yard or house as well.

About: I've loved and cared for rescue pets of every kind. Be them skiddish and yippy, the biggest cuddler, to health issues of all sorts. I'm happy to work with you and your fuzzy buddy. I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of morning and evening availability. Pets may as well be children to me, they need what they need when they need it and I am happy to work your furry friend into my schedule I am very adaptable and quick to learn routines, new locations, and instructions. Every pet and home is different and I am happy to work with that. I am very capable with heavy tasks, large pets, and patient when commands don't work.

About: I look forward to helping people with their animals as part of my work. I love working with animals. I have had dogs and cats my whole life for the most part. Currently I have two cats end dogs of my own. I am actively engaged in dog training and really enjoy it. I do positive reinforcement and redirection only. I am currently engaged in several creative projects working from home. I have the time, flexibility and desire to help my neighbors with their animals. I can do drop ins, administer medications, and provide dog walks. I’m happy to play fetch as well. What I would do would depend on each individual situation and the needs of the pet I am caring for.

Andrea G.
“Andrea has taken amazing care of my sweet dog, Poppy. She is always very safety conscious and kind to dogs, making sure that they feel loved and also have what they need to have a good day. Genuinely the care she puts towards animals is top tier.”

Julia J.
“Julia was an absolute delight and a caring pet sitter for our two dogs and cat. She took the time to get to know their unique personalities, one being hyper and playful, and the other being fairly shy. Her attentiveness and willingness to meet them where they needed it were evident, whether it was more patience before petting or extra games of fetch. She ensured our home was clean and our pets were well-tended to in every respect. Julia has been a pet sitter and dog walker for us, and she is extremely responsible. I would highly recommend her to any pet owner looking for a responsible and kind sitter.”

Savannah I.

“Savannah is THE BEST”

JoyLynn G.
“JoyLynn is great. She has watched our Maltese/bichon. She did a great job. We felt at ease on vacation knowing he was in good hands. Joylynn’s professional and personable. She also follows directions well. Highly recommend using her services.”

Jaclyn W.
“Jaclyn is the textbook “dog-person”, major dog-lover, wants to meet every dog, with a giant heart. Trust your furbabies are in extra-caring and responsible, loving hands!”

Heather R.
“The purpose of this letter is to recommend my daughter, Heather for animal care-giver. She has not only a great interest in animals and working with them, but she also has many skills in that area that I feel will make her a valuable part of this organization. When I got my beagle puppy, Darwin, she volunteered to watch him for me when necessary. The results far exceeded my expectation. She is an extremely active sitter, teaching Darwin various commands that I have not dealt with, and reinforcing the ones I have: this has been a great help. This ability, plus the experience Heather has had with various types of animals, will make her, I believe, an effective care-giver.”

Jason M.

Genelle C.

“Genelle was awesome! Great with communication and updates every day. She was flexible with her schedule and went above and beyond when we had an emergency. 10 stars!!”

Sarah S.
“Sarah is wonderful with dogs! I've known her many years and have watched her training her own dogs, both large and small breeds. I have seen her use and improve her training skills. She always has her treat bag with her and is very persistent when training. Sarah has done a wonderful job socializing my rescue, Parker, who was very shy about meeting others. She is kind, patient, reliable and trustworthy. What strikes me most about Sarah is how patient and loving she is. She loves dogs and most animals, and has two dogs and two cats of her own. I highly recommend her!”
