“Ana was very good with my dog. He was 5lbs over her comfortable weight limit but that didn’t deter her from taking my dog out to walks. She spent time with him at home and played with him. Fed him as instructed. Overall would book Ana again for overnight stay with my dog.”

“David did a fantastic job pet sitting my dog Leo in our home! He kept me updated with regular photos and messages, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. He took Leo on his evening walk, played ball with him in the backyard, and made sure he was well cared for and happy. It’s clear he genuinely loves animals, and Leo was in great hands. So grateful for how good he was to my baby—highly recommend!”

She took care of my buddies and my home to the point that I barely could tell she was here but with the amount of communication we had, I knew my boys were well taken care of. Thank you, Audrey!”

“I am so blessed to have found Carlee! She is amazing! I was very apprehensive about having someone stay in my home and care for my babies. About: Growing up with lots of dogs and just very exotic animals has made me loveee taking care of animals and simply being with them. During high school, my school provided a vet program. This allowed us to interact with the dog or cat rescues. As well it gave the us the responsibility of cleaning and sanitizing the rooms, feeding puppies or kittens, giving them oral and injection medication, as well as handling and socializing. That opportunity gives me confidence in what I do and I hope that can do the same for you! I am a very energetic person and love to run around with dogs I work with giving them plenty of exercise and tiring them out. I currently work as a kennel assistant in Palm city that specializes in boarding and training dogs. I do have some knowledge of dog training as the dogs who come in are very obedient. We clean their kennels 3 times a day and feed them once a shift ( I always have the morning shift).Lots of different dogs come in and out so I can handle all types of dogs. I like to be kept busy and I take pride in everything that I do. I would call myself a very hard worker trying to make money to survive. I try to help out people in need of someone watching over their doggies or walking them. Feel free to reach out and I will absolutely try my best to fit you in my schedule. In clients houses, I make sure I ask the owners where everything for their dog is like food, water, toys. I also like to be known of anything the dog is not supposed to be doing around the house

Kimberly was amazing, and I highly recommend her! She was responsible, friendly, and provided excellent communication throughout the entire stay. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, my pets were happy, well cared for, and comfortable when I returned home. I would absolutely book with Kimberly again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter.

My 3 dogs were taken care of for 2 weeks at my home and they were all fine and no issues with escaping. One of them realized she could jump my fence right before I left but there was no escaping when I was gone because she kept the doors locked. My dog checks! She handled them and I had peace of mind.

Adriana was great with Bailey. He liked her from the beginning. When she came over to meet us, she spent a lot of her time interacting with Bailey. Then, when we were talking, Bailey went over and lay down with his head on Adriana's feet. So we felt very comfortable leaving him with her as a first time sitter. She kept in touch with texts and let us know every day how Bailey was doing. She left the house in better shape than when we left. We will definitely use her again.

Juliana was AMAZING!!! She was so organized and thorough when it came to telling me her schedule. I felt so confident that my dogs were in great care with her. In addition, she was so respectful of my home while watching our pups and went above and beyond. I will definitely be booking her again and again!
My husband and I had a 10 day trip pre-planned when we adopted 3 shelter cats several months prior. Because of their age and emotional 'baggage' we wanted an experienced cat sitter for them in our home. We chose Nabilah for several reasons: 1. She was not the cheapest. Her pricing reflects her excellent qualifications and extensive experience, not only with cats but with all animals. 2. She has her own 5 rescue cats. 3. She came to our home to meet us and our cats and to tell us about herself before we booked with her. 4. She is a genuinely nice person. While we were away, Nabilah kept in regular contact with us, sending texts and photos several times per day, and she always answered my phone calls. She stayed on the feeding & playtime schedule we had established but since our cats were so new, I asked for any suggestions or observations. She was very helpful in that regard and brought in different types of cat food textures and different treats to try. Nabilah also worked with our cats, successfully getting them all to use the litter robot - which we were thrilled about! Ten days is a long time to leave your pets but Nabilah did a wonderful job taking care of our three and giving them love and affection while we were away. Before we returned, Nabilah straightened up the house, vacuumed, cleaned the countertops, etc. This wasn't expected but was very much appreciated! We could not have chosen a better person to entrust with our home and with the care of our precious kitties! Yes, we 100% recommend Nabilah!
I just moved to Pt St Lucie. I needed a dog sitter with good availibility. That is the reason I went with Mika She watched my dog for the first time last night. She was right on time. Madison was absolutely wonderful! She watched our dog and kitten and we came home to 2 very happy animals. She did great to keep them on their schedules and give them the attention they needed while we were gone. She was also very easy to get a hold of and very communicative. We will definitely be using her for care again. Thank you Madison!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Port Saint Lucie walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Port Saint Lucie maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Port Saint Lucie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
