“Samantha did a fantastic job with our dogs. Took them a couple days to warm up but became fast buddies. Thanks Samantha for holding down the fort. We'll be contacting you soon for another sitting job”

“Lisa was great. She stayed at our house and took care of our pets and our home. She communicated with us before and during the stay. She came over to meet the dogs and learn about staying at the house. She sent pictures of the dogs during her stay. When we returned home the dogs were healthy and happy AND our house was tidy and clean. Would definitely recommend Lisa. She loves dogs!”

About: Hello! My name is Avalon ! Since I can remember Ive owned cats and dogs. My current animals ranging from a 13 year old senior, to a fresh 1 year old frenchie ! Im aware and very cautious with allergies as mine have many . I’ve always loved all animals like they were my own, enjoying every moment of cuddles and play. Im currently part time and new to the Florida area which leaves me with extra time to care for not only my own pets but yours as well ! With a dog friendly car, trips for a walk in the park for new scenery won’t be an issue or local walks around the neighborhood. As I meet new fur friends and family’s I like to do a walking check in all yards to ensure the safety of the pets as they go out to explore . You never know what could come up or what could be found better safe than sorry! Keeping a close eye is my specialty as I treat all animals as my own. I follow careful instructions as you know your pet best !
“Billie was so great with our dog Ruger and kept us informed throughout her stay with him. She went above and beyond to care for him and gave us such a peace about leaving him with her. I would definitely recommend Billie to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

About: Every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owner is away. With a lifetime of hands-on experience caring for dogs—including having a Husky and two Yorkshire Terriers of my own—I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I have experience caring for dogs at different life stages, including both young and senior pets, and I know how important it is to tailor care to each individual animal. Whether your pet needs plenty of exercise and high-energy play or simply calm companionship and reassurance, I take the time to earn their trust and make them feel comfortable. As a sitter, I am reliable, punctual, attentive, and compassionate. I prioritize your pet’s emotional well-being and physical safety while maintaining a clean, secure, and comfortable environment. I also understand the importance of following routines, respecting instructions, and keeping owners informed while they are away. In an emergency, I remain calm, assess the situation carefully, contact the owner promptly, and prioritize veterinary care when necessary. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care and treat every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. I look forward to getting to know your furry family member and giving them the care and companionship they deserve! I’m a full-time online student working toward my bachelor’s degree, which gives me a flexible schedule compared to a traditional in-person student. I can easily plan my schoolwork around pet care and make sure I have dedicated time for each pet. As long as I have time to complete my homework either before or during a pet stay, I’m happy to spend extended periods with your pet. This flexibility makes me a great fit for overnight stays and house sitting, especially for owners who prefer having someone stay in their home with their pet. I can bring my schoolwork with me and work quietly while still being present, attentive, and available for your pet throughout the day. My schedule allows me to provide companionship and care while also maintaining my school responsibilities, making overnight and longer stays especially convenient for me. I care for every pet as if they were my own, while making sure to follow the routines and instructions their owner has provided. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping their pet comfortable by maintaining their normal feeding, playtime, bathroom, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. For overnight stays and house sitting, I’m happy to spend extended periods in the home so pets have companionship rather than being left alone for long stretches. Since I’m a full-time online student, I can bring my schoolwork with me and work quietly from the client’s home while still being present and attentive to their pet. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure, provide plenty of attention and enrichment, and respect each pet’s individual personality and boundaries. My goal is to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible for both the pet and their owner.

“This was Rebecca's second time taking care of my pup while I was out of town. I've tried a few sitters for Lulu over the years and Rebecca is by far the best!! Lulu LOVES Rebecca and I can truly feel at ease while I'm traveling knowing that she's at my home taking care of Lulu! She's a great photographer and communicator, plus my house was neat and clean when I returned!”

“Our dog Kelsey has a new best buddy. Tracy did a wonderful job with our high energy German Shorthaired Pointer. Fortunately, Tracy has just about as much energy as Kelsey. We'll definitely use her again and recommend her highly.”

About: I’ve taken care of big dogs, small dogs, and cats. I have also helped with giving them their medication. I am able to be there all day and night with them and love going for walks. I also like to keep the owner updated everyday on the phone. I currently work remote and I am able to stay all day and night. I make my own schedule and can be free to play with the animals whenever as well as take them for a walk whenever. Everyone that I dog sit or cat sit for likes it when I stay over and I make sure to go a day before to meet the pets and have the owner walk me through what an average day looks like so that I imitate it and keep the same schedule. While I’m there I like to keep the house clean.

“Grace was amazing with our furr babies during a long day sit on the 4th at our home with one nervous big senior, who hates fireworks, and one young, little new rescue. She met us the day before our sit and we all instantly clicked. Grateful for her very caring and considerate handling of our 2 on the 4th! Thank you for hanging with B and L !! WE cant wait to have you back :)”

About: I believe they will see that I will care for their dogs as I do my own. My boy "Jax" in the picture, he took his last run on 12-17-2023. Miss him dearly. RIP My angel! I grew up with Poms and went on to the large breeds once I was on my own. Germans shepherds, Newfoundland, English Mastiffs, Afghan Hound and a Great Dane. I am a dog and animal lover PERIOD. I really should have been a vet, vet tech or maybe even a zoologist! But I'm happy just to spend time with the dogs. I have house broken and trained all my dogs personally to basic commands and even some tricks. Some dogs are verbal and some are visual. Not all dogs are the same! That's why I LOVE them SO much!! ~ Reba I own a small Swimming Pool Service Company and have for 20 years. I no longer work in the field I occasionally go troubleshooting jobs or meet with new clients. So I'm semi-retired and home quite a bit I don't really go much of anywhere. I have a fenced-in yard, bordered by bamboo and lots of sniffing/hunting areas. However, they are never left unattended. I'm always outside with them. There is also a pool for the swimmers and a grassy area for just for playing.

About: I have owned 3 cats in my adult life and 3 dogs (German Shepherd and 2 Greyhounds). I love walking dogs and exploring new paths around neighborhoods! I have taken care of elderly cats and dogs, including giving medications. I currently cannot have pets due to my community rules, so I would love the opportunity to love your pets! I am retired and am available most of the time even on short notice. I love dogs and cats but cannot have them where we live unfortunately. I can only care for pets in their own home due to our condo regulations. I will abide by my clients wishes for safety and the environment.

“Aaliyah was absolutely fabulous with my 3 month old puppy. She stayed the entire time during my house sit and sent lots of update pictures to ease my nerves of leaving him for the first time. I strongly recommend Aaliyah and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“I’m so grateful for Jessica ! She treated Gator like her own and made the whole process super easy for me. She’s very reliable, kind, and clearly loves dogs. Gator can be anxious, but he warmed up to her right away. When I got home, he was happy and tired from all the walks and playtime. It’s such a relief to have someone I trust to take care of my dogs when I’m away.”

“Tara did a great job house and dog sitting with our senior chihuahua Dudley. She sent pictures and updated us during the day and always responded to messages promptly. We will definitely have Tara house/dog sit for us again.”

About: Hey everyone! My name is Kelsey and I live in Stuart, I have been dog sitting for the past 4 years now with Rover. I've had dogs since I was a kid, sat for others and fostered for a few weeks as well. I have experience with all age ranges of dogs, including giving medications to senior dogs, and dogs that need a little extra care. Looking forward to gaining regular or one time clients! I work part-time at a golf course, shifts are typically 6-8 hours and out early. I work 3-4 shifts a week, aside from that I'll be home with your pet or available for morning/evening drop ins! I do prefer to meet the dog and owner prior to first drop in or walk just to get a better feel for what the dog will require.
“Lily was amazing! She came over for a meet and greet and Maverick liked her right away. Then for his overnight she stayed with him until we returned. She did a great job making sure he got his walk and lots of snuggles. He was happy and calm when we returned. We will definitely have Lily stay with him again when we have to leave him for any length of time. Loved Lily!”
About: I have had rescue dogs of all sizes my entire life and cannot imagine not having one. Furbabies are family and I treat them with kindness and compassion. I fully trained a stubborn, hard headed puppy with consistent yet loving guidance. Your animals will be encouraged and loved on with lots of praise and attention. I have a very flexible schedule and I am available 7 days per week, including overnight in-home care, for your pet’s ultimate comfort and happiness. Fun and engaging play time is a big part of my care routine. I can also feed an bathe if necessary. Please notify if any extra special care is required for your pet.

“We were extremely happy with the care Megan provided. This was our first time using Rover with house/pet sitter and so happy we did. We came home from our 5 day trip to a very happy Brady! Megan sent us pictures and messages daily and our Brady looked like he was enjoying the extra attention. We will certainly use Megan again in the future and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

Alysia is very kind and caring. She took wonderful care of our senior lab, Bailey. There are many details surrounding Bailey’s care and Alysia handled her feeding, supplements and daily/nightly routines thoughtfully. We hope to have Alysia stay with Bailey again.

Grace was amazing with our furr babies during a long day sit on the 4th at our home with one nervous big senior, who hates fireworks, and one young, little new rescue. She met us the day before our sit and we all instantly clicked. Grateful for her very caring and considerate handling of our 2 on the 4th! Thank you for hanging with B and L !! Hannah was professional, sweet, and amazing with our 7 year old mini doodle Rosie! She was easy to communicate with, took Rosie on extra walks, brought in our mail, and sent me a pic so I knew she was in good hands. Highly recommend Hannah for your dog sitting needs.

Lori is wonderful with our spoiled Bailey. We never have to worry when we leave him with her. She was at our house over New Year’s and experience a very scared Bailey with lots of fireworks. She handle that situation just like we would have done. Bailey is very happy when he is with her. He hates for us to leave, but is very happy when he sees Lori at the door. We highly recommend her and use her when she is free. Thank you, Lori.

Katie was absolutely perfect. She came to do a pre-sit visit with Kelsey (our puppy) so they could get to know each other. She asked all the right questions regarding feeding, walking, etc. All the furniture and silver was here when we returned. Lol Kelsey enjoyed her so much he wanted to leave with her. We'll use her again and again

****Rachel stayed in our home and took care of our elderly Frenchie & Cat. She was always prompt, professional, and proactive; ensuring everything was just right with our pets and home while we were away. Auggie, our Frenchie, is a child to us. The next day we found him sitting outside the guest room looking for Rachel, so we know he bonded with her & that alone says a lot. We highly recommend Rachel 😊

Karessa was excellent with our dog, 2 cats and our house. Everything went smoothly and Bailey & cats were happy. She did everything we asked, kept us up to date on animals and sent pictures. Plus we came home to a spotless house! We will definitely be using Karessa again and recommend her to everyone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Jensen Beach on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 858 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Jensen Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Jensen Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Jensen Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Jensen Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jensen Beach. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
