“Lorraine is extraordinarily kind, attentive, and gentle! Our Azure was treated like a Cannie Goddess! We received daily photograph and activity report. We felt calm, and at ease knowing Lorraine was in our home, there for our little girl. I highly recommend Lorraine. Azure adores her!”

“OMGOODNESS! Samantha was awesome! She was punctual and communicated well with us while we were away. She stayed over at our house for 8 nights and worked here during the day and there was hardly a trace of her when she left. Except the impression she left on our fur babies! I think they actually miss her!!! We have already booked her for our next vacation and tried another date but she wasn’t available!!! She is that good! Happy pup parents and happy pups!!!!”
“Our dog Kelsey has a new best buddy. Tracy did a wonderful job with our high energy German Shorthaired Pointer. Fortunately, Tracy has just about as much energy as Kelsey. We'll definitely use her again and recommend her highly.”

“Jessica truly is a 10/10! She is reliable, communicative, responsible, and she showered my dogs and cats with endless love during her stay. Jessica sent me updates and photos each day! It was extremely comforting to know that my fur babies were in good hands while I was away! She also kept everything very clean for the animals and made my house extra tidy for my return (even took out the garbage she used, which was not necessary …but it highlights the attention to detail and care she has). I will be using her for future bookings and would happily refer her to my friends and family! I highly recommend!”

“Alysia is very kind and caring. She took wonderful care of our senior lab, Bailey. There are many details surrounding Bailey’s care and Alysia handled her feeding, supplements and daily/nightly routines thoughtfully. We hope to have Alysia stay with Bailey again.”

“We had such a wonderful vacation with all our family after a brutal year and a half apart due to the pandemic. Thanks to Laura, we never worried about our home or our dogs. She let us know every day that all was well.”

“Tara did a great job house and dog sitting with our senior chihuahua Dudley. She sent pictures and updated us during the day and always responded to messages promptly. We will definitely have Tara house/dog sit for us again.”

About: Hey everyone! My name is Kelsey and I live in Stuart, I have been dog sitting for the past 4 years now with Rover. I've had dogs since I was a kid, sat for others and fostered for a few weeks as well. I have experience with all age ranges of dogs, including giving medications to senior dogs, and dogs that need a little extra care. Looking forward to gaining regular or one time clients! I work part-time at a golf course, shifts are typically 6-8 hours and out early. I work 3-4 shifts a week, aside from that I'll be home with your pet or available for morning/evening drop ins! I do prefer to meet the dog and owner prior to first drop in or walk just to get a better feel for what the dog will require.
About: I’ve taken care of big dogs, small dogs, and cats. I have also helped with giving them their medication. I am able to be there all day and night with them and love going for walks. I also like to keep the owner updated everyday on the phone. I currently work remote and I am able to stay all day and night. I make my own schedule and can be free to play with the animals whenever as well as take them for a walk whenever. Everyone that I dog sit or cat sit for likes it when I stay over and I make sure to go a day before to meet the pets and have the owner walk me through what an average day looks like so that I imitate it and keep the same schedule. While I’m there I like to keep the house clean.

“Grace was amazing with our furr babies during a long day sit on the 4th at our home with one nervous big senior, who hates fireworks, and one young, little new rescue. She met us the day before our sit and we all instantly clicked. Grateful for her very caring and considerate handling of our 2 on the 4th! Thank you for hanging with B and L !! WE cant wait to have you back :)”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with 18+ years of experience owning pets and caring for pets for family, friends, and others. I understand how much our pets mean to us; they’re family, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in loving, responsible hands while you’re away. As a mom of five, I’m naturally attentive, dependable, patient, and used to caring for others and managing different needs and personalities. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and temperaments, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, medication reminders, feeding on a specific schedule, or simply some company while you’re gone, I’ll give them the individual attention they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is for your pet to feel loved, comfortable, and at home, not like they’re simply being boarded or checked on. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I would want someone to give mine. 🐾❤️ As a stay-at-home mom with a very flexible schedule, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have the flexibility to accommodate walks, drop-ins, feeding schedules, playtime, and other petcare needs throughout the day. I’m able to work around each pet’s individual routine rather than trying to fit them into a rigid schedule. My flexible availability allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care while their families are away. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. As a mom of both furry and humans, I’m very attentive to my surroundings and understand the importance of keeping animals in a secure, supervised environment. In my home, I provide a clean, comfortable space with plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their pet’s normal routine and care instructions closely. I’m careful about doors, gates, leashes, food, medications, and anything else that could pose a risk. I’ll also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Heidi was amazing with Loki! I was anxious about leaving him, but she made me feel so comfortable and safe. She was communicative, on time, responsible, and most importantly, Loki immediately loved her. She sent me updates while I was gone and I knew 100% he was in great hands! I will definitely use her in the future. I would recommend her without a doubt.”

“This was Rebecca's second time taking care of my pup while I was out of town. I've tried a few sitters for Lulu over the years and Rebecca is by far the best!! Lulu LOVES Rebecca and I can truly feel at ease while I'm traveling knowing that she's at my home taking care of Lulu! She's a great photographer and communicator, plus my house was neat and clean when I returned!”

“Janine did a great job of caring for Lily and she spoiled her with many walks to her favorite park! She communicated well with me and my house wa in great shape when I came home.”

About: Hi! I'm Savannah, a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of an 8-year-old Black Lab. Spending time with dogs has always been a big part of my life, and I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just some extra attention, I'm happy to provide a safe, fun, and caring experience. I treat every dog as if they were my own and look forward to meeting your furry family member! I am free any day of the week! I would love to take care of your dog whenever your dog needs to be taken care of! My dog at home is walked twice a day and taken out every two hours. His water bowl is filled up every two hours and he gets lots of love!
About: 20+ years of pet care experience. Growing up we had 4 dogs , 6 cats and a whole array of other critters. When it comes to pet sitting, drop by visits or just a quick walk, I’m your guy! I have a full time job that I work Tuesday-Friday 8-6. Im currently available Mondays, Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays. Holidays vary since I may be out of town I have two cats myself so ensuring a safe, clean environment is number 1 on my list. If there’s no mess or hazard, I’d ensure all essentials are either available or given at time specified. For example feeding and or medication time, along with kibble/ water restock. If there’s a list, follow the list lol

About: I believe they will see that I will care for their dogs as I do my own. My boy "Jax" in the picture, he took his last run on 12-17-2023. Miss him dearly. RIP My angel! I grew up with Poms and went on to the large breeds once I was on my own. Germans shepherds, Newfoundland, English Mastiffs, Afghan Hound and a Great Dane. I am a dog and animal lover PERIOD. I really should have been a vet, vet tech or maybe even a zoologist! But I'm happy just to spend time with the dogs. I have house broken and trained all my dogs personally to basic commands and even some tricks. Some dogs are verbal and some are visual. Not all dogs are the same! That's why I LOVE them SO much!! ~ Reba I own a small Swimming Pool Service Company and have for 20 years. I no longer work in the field I occasionally go troubleshooting jobs or meet with new clients. So I'm semi-retired and home quite a bit I don't really go much of anywhere. I have a fenced-in yard, bordered by bamboo and lots of sniffing/hunting areas. However, they are never left unattended. I'm always outside with them. There is also a pool for the swimmers and a grassy area for just for playing.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Sewall's Point is €55
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sewall's Point
Lori is wonderful with our spoiled Bailey. We never have to worry when we leave him with her. She was at our house over New Year’s and experience a very scared Bailey with lots of fireworks. She handle that situation just like we would have done. Bailey is very happy when he is with her. He hates for us to leave, but is very happy when he sees Lori at the door. We highly recommend her and use her when she is free. Thank you, Lori.

Katie was absolutely perfect. She came to do a pre-sit visit with Kelsey (our puppy) so they could get to know each other. She asked all the right questions regarding feeding, walking, etc. All the furniture and silver was here when we returned. Lol Kelsey enjoyed her so much he wanted to leave with her. We'll use her again and again

****Rachel stayed in our home and took care of our elderly Frenchie & Cat. She was always prompt, professional, and proactive; ensuring everything was just right with our pets and home while we were away. Auggie, our Frenchie, is a child to us. The next day we found him sitting outside the guest room looking for Rachel, so we know he bonded with her & that alone says a lot. We highly recommend Rachel 😊

Karessa was excellent with our dog, 2 cats and our house. Everything went smoothly and Bailey & cats were happy. She did everything we asked, kept us up to date on animals and sent pictures. Plus we came home to a spotless house! We will definitely be using Karessa again and recommend her to everyone.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sewall's Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sewall's Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sewall's Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sewall's Point. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
