She made sure his food and water was fresh every day and she sent pictures and communicate with us on his daily situation. I would highly recommend Samantha to watch anybody’s pet. We will definitely use her again the next time go out of town.”

About: 20+ years of pet care experience. Growing up we had 4 dogs , 6 cats and a whole array of other critters. When it comes to pet sitting, drop by visits or just a quick walk, I’m your guy! I have a full time job that I work Tuesday-Friday 8-6. Im currently available Mondays, Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays. Holidays vary since I may be out of town I have two cats myself so ensuring a safe, clean environment is number 1 on my list. If there’s no mess or hazard, I’d ensure all essentials are either available or given at time specified. For example feeding and or medication time, along with kibble/ water restock. If there’s a list, follow the list lol
“Rachel did a short notice checkin for my 3 cats. She was very responsive, neat and finished all the tasks they needed plus sent pictures so I knew all were doing ok. Wonderful job. I am booking her again now!”

About: My love for animals started before I can even remember and has been a constant throughout my entire life. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including three Labs, a Beagle, English Springer Spaniel, two cats (both adopted), and two Mini Dachshunds all with their own personalities and temperaments whom brought years of memories. When I was a 20-year-old student at Florida State University, I brought home my own Mini Doxie, Lil Man Lynyrd Skynyrd, who became my absolute best friend for 16.5 wonderful years before peacefully crossing over the Rainbow Bridge to reunite with our other beloved family members—Sasha, Kona, Captain, Charlie, Bob Marley, Oakley, Lucy, and Mighty Jack Jackson. Today, I also help care for my parents' 16-year-old Mini Dachshund, Camo, who has been fully blind since birth (PRA), and was Lynyrd's very best buddy. Over the years, I've been fortunate to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, including those with special needs such as blindness, diabetes, missing limbs, cataracts, and allergies. My special-needs and four (and three) legged friends have always found a special place in my heart. I truly believe that every animal has their own story, personality, and unique needs. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, and understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, extra snuggles, medication, or simply a calm and loving companion, I will care for them as if they were one of my own. To me, pets aren't just animals—they're family. ❤️🐾 I work in sales and have the flexibility for drop in’s and also able to accept dogs at my home as well. My Doxie crossed over the rainbow bridge recently, and I miss having furry friends in my home. I cared for my dogs in different ways based on their medical needs, personalities ect… I live in a two story townhome now, and do not currently have any pets, but do have two small young children. Dogs must be family oriented or overnights.
“Lauren was able to accommodate us on very short notice. She showed up on time, kept the dogs entertained, and even brought them treats. Although we did not ask for pictures, she sent some to let us know the dogs were doing well. Her enthusiasm for her work and love of dogs was evident from the moment she walked into the house; three of our dogs have visual or hearing (or both) impairments, and she was more than able to effectively communicate with them. We highly recommend Lauren.”

“Jackie was excellent, detailed, and treated our bunny like her own! Highly recommend if you are looking for a sitter. We will def be using her again in the future :)”

“So thankful she was able to drop in at the last minute to check on Bella. They have never met, but it sounded like it went well. She sent me lots of great photos so I knew Bella was in good hands. Can’t thank you enough!”

“Amanda was absolutely wonderful! We’ve tried several dog walkers through Rover in the past and haven’t always had the best luck, but this experience was completely different. Amanda was patient, kind, and so loving with our little yorkie poo, Mali. She made us feel completely at ease knowing Mali was in such good hands. We can’t recommend Amanda enough and will definitely be booking with her again for any future needs!”

I also keep things secure when coming and going so you can feel confident everything is taken care of.

“Kelsey was great! She was so communicative and go with the flow, as we had a very last minute trip / booking, and, we’re completely new to the area. Glad I was able to find her and have peace of mind while I was away for the day.”

Jessica did great her first time with my cat and bunny. Her communication is impeccable and she gave them their full half hour. I couldn’t even tell I’d been gone when I got home— no messes to clean and the boys were content. I will be booking Jessica in the future for sure! 😻

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
