About: My love for animals started before I can even remember and has been a constant throughout my entire life. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including three Labs, a Beagle, English Springer Spaniel, two cats (both adopted), and two Mini Dachshunds all with their own personalities and temperaments whom brought years of memories. When I was a 20-year-old student at Florida State University, I brought home my own Mini Doxie, Lil Man Lynyrd Skynyrd, who became my absolute best friend for 16.5 wonderful years before peacefully crossing over the Rainbow Bridge to reunite with our other beloved family members—Sasha, Kona, Captain, Charlie, Bob Marley, Oakley, Lucy, and Mighty Jack Jackson. Today, I also help care for my parents' 16-year-old Mini Dachshund, Camo, who has been fully blind since birth (PRA), and was Lynyrd's very best buddy. Over the years, I've been fortunate to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, including those with special needs such as blindness, diabetes, missing limbs, cataracts, and allergies. My special-needs and four (and three) legged friends have always found a special place in my heart. I truly believe that every animal has their own story, personality, and unique needs. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, and understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. “We can't say enough good things about Fran and Gabe. They take phenomenal care of our 5 year old black lab, Molly, and somehow manage to make every stay feel like a vacation for her. Molly is usually shy around new people, but that completely changed with Fran and Gabe. Now when we pull up, she jumps out of the car with joy because she knows she’s about to have a great time.
