About: 20+ years of pet care experience. Growing up we had 4 dogs , 6 cats and a whole array of other critters. When it comes to pet sitting, drop by visits or just a quick walk, I’m your guy! I have a full time job that I work Tuesday-Friday 8-6. Im currently available Mondays, Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays. Holidays vary since I may be out of town I have two cats myself so ensuring a safe, clean environment is number 1 on my list. If there’s no mess or hazard, I’d ensure all essentials are either available or given at time specified. For example feeding and or medication time, along with kibble/ water restock. If there’s a list, follow the list lol
“Maria and Sarah were excellent with my dogs! My one dog is usually very shy and timid but he warmed up to them immediately. They kept me updated, sent plenty of pictures, and I could tell they were very familiar taking care of animals. I would definitely recommend!”
About: My love for animals started before I can even remember and has been a constant throughout my entire life. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including three Labs, a Beagle, English Springer Spaniel, two cats (both adopted), and two Mini Dachshunds all with their own personalities and temperaments whom brought years of memories. When I was a 20-year-old student at Florida State University, I brought home my own Mini Doxie, Lil Man Lynyrd Skynyrd, who became my absolute best friend for 16.5 wonderful years before peacefully crossing over the Rainbow Bridge to reunite with our other beloved family members—Sasha, Kona, Captain, Charlie, Bob Marley, Oakley, Lucy, and Mighty Jack Jackson. Today, I also help care for my parents' 16-year-old Mini Dachshund, Camo, who has been fully blind since birth (PRA), and was Lynyrd's very best buddy. Over the years, I've been fortunate to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, including those with special needs such as blindness, diabetes, missing limbs, cataracts, and allergies. My special-needs and four (and three) legged friends have always found a special place in my heart. I truly believe that every animal has their own story, personality, and unique needs. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, and understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, extra snuggles, medication, or simply a calm and loving companion, I will care for them as if they were one of my own. To me, pets aren't just animals—they're family. ❤️🐾 I work in sales and have the flexibility for drop in’s and also able to accept dogs at my home as well. My Doxie crossed over the rainbow bridge recently, and I miss having furry friends in my home. I cared for my dogs in different ways based on their medical needs, personalities ect… I live in a two story townhome now, and do not currently have any pets, but do have two small young children. Dogs must be family oriented or overnights.
“Elizabeth cares for my cat when I am away. She is dependable, responsible and very caring. She is an excellent communicator and very observant. I highly recommend her for your peace of mind and your pet’s comfort. We are happy repeat customers.”

“Anna has helped us twice now by visiting our two cats while away on vacation. She does a fantastic job, is on time, follows instructions and communicates well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dependable sitter!”

“Lily and Lucy were well taken care of by Kelsey and I will definitely reach out to her again when we need care for our babies. They took well to her and they are very picky. We were given pictures on each visit and she even brought in a package that I wasn't expecting when she saw it on the front porch! It's so nice to know that we have someone we can trust for the future.”

“Heidi was Incredible! I travel a week out of every month, Heidi noticed Hank, my cat, was not himself. She called me, took him to the emergency vet, picked him up this morning and stayed with him to ensure he was good. Happy ending Hank is perfect and my mind is at ease. Even though I cut my trip short, I am flying home with piece of mind. Thank you Heidi!!!”

About: I’ve trained and cared for a dog for 8 years, dealt with reactivity issues, emergencies and giving medicine daily for dry eyes, so I am well equipped for whatever you need. I’m available M-F from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, although I can be flexible in certain instances if needed. I work M-F 9 am-5 pm as a science and policy analyst for a local nonprofit. Pets are always given space and respect, their food, water, medicine and play needs are very important and I will always make sure your pet is happy.

“Lorianne did a great job taking care of our cat, Winnie, while we were away for 5 days. Winnie can be anxious, but Lorianne was patient with Winnie. By day 2, Winnie was rubbing on her. Lorianne sent daily pictures and updates. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was about 7 years old. I started with caring for my own pets growing up. At age 10, during the summers, I started a dog and cat sitting/walking business with the help of my grandma. It was a huge success and I was very well known and sought after throughout my community. When I was 13, I was hired as a helper for a local company, where I learned how to properly care for and train police K-9s and family pets. This was one of my absolute favorite jobs! Growing up over the years, I have also had many pets of my own, to include larger dogs, such as my beloved German Shepherd named Jesse, as well as smaller dogs, like my sweet little Pug, Mr. Chubbs. I also had the honor of having several cats as well, including a Scottish Fold, named Tucker and a Lynx Point Siamese, named Charlie. I have experience caring for elderly pets as well, to include administering oral medications (pills and suspensions), ear cleaning solutions and otic drops, eye drops, topical creams, etc. I truly adore animals of all kinds and I would be honored to help care for your fur babies whenever needed! I am newer to the local area and own a business, so this allows me the flexibility to provide services throughout the day and week. I would prefer to care for pets in my client's home, but I am able to care for them in my home, if needed. Pets will not be allowed in carpeted areas or on furniture, as I am currently renting. I do have a small fenced in back area with grass and pavers for some outside time but I would mainly be taking dogs for walks throughout my home community as well as in local parks, if that is okay with each owner.
“Lauren is thee best! I can leave my cats and home without any worries and truly enjoy time away. I’m confident she has everything under control and the cats get the best care. Thank you, Lauren. 😻”

“This is our 2nd time using Glenn. He did another fabulous job! Poe really likes Glenn and I’m grateful for all the updates and messages from him. We came home early and Glenn was flexible and had no problem accommodating us. Glenn is fantastic and we will always give him a call when we go out of town! Thanks Glenn!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Port Salerno
I had no experience with hiring a sitter for my pets, so faced with a medical emergency on the recommendation of my daughter I used the Rover app. I cannot stress enough how pleased I was with Elizabeth’s drop-in visits with my dog and 2 cats. She was punctual, communicated regularly, and sent pictures of them. I recommend her highly and would definitely hire her again. Five stars plus!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Port Salerno. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
