“We were lucky enough to have Linda available to watch our 2 dogs while we traveled to our son's wedding in Texas. Having Linda at home with Bailey and Birdie let us completely relax and enjoy our trip without one worry of how our pups were doing at home. She always sends the best detailed notes and pictures! And when we return, the house is just as we left it. You wouldn't even know anyone had been staying there. She even watered our outside veggie garden! Linda will always be our #1 choice for Bailey and Birdie! Thanks Linda!”

About: I provide loving, personal care for your pet. I love animals of all kinds, and have had them all my life. I love to play and walk dogs, and treat them as if they are my own. I have a safe, fenced large yard and only take dogs on flea and tick control , non aggressive, and up to date on their shots, for the safety of my dog and others I care for. I can take dogs up to 25 pounds. I have been dog sitting for many years and can provide excellent references if needed. I require a meet and greet, to get to know your dog and for your personal assurance that I am the sitter for your needs. I also can accomodate dogs with special needs and other pets. A nightly stay is a 24 hour period, late pickups over an hour will incur a day fee for that day. This is so i can stay on a schedule for other appointments. Hope to meet your furry family member soon!!
“Janine did a great job of caring for Lily and she spoiled her with many walks to her favorite park! She communicated well with me and my house wa in great shape when I came home.”

“Megan is amazing! She sends us photos and updates every day which helps when you're missing your furbabies. She is very dependable and trustworthy. We have a senior dog who takes daily meds and Megan is exceptional with ensuring she gets her meds on schedule. This is our 2nd time using Megan and we'll definitely be using her in the future.”

“Carmen did a wonderful job watching our home and caring for our senior dog while we were away. She gave us periodic updates while we were gone but was also always available whenever we reached out to her to make sure things were going smoothly. When we arrived home, you would have never known she was here, she left everything just as clean as when she arrived. We will absolutely be booking her again in the future!”

About: If I could adopt all dogs, of all sizes and ages, in need of a home, I would but instead I've taken care of countless dogs in my community for over a decade and also raised two adorable pomeranians who are my most treasured assets. I work remote in the technology sector with a very flexible schedule so I can provide more time and quality care for dogs I look after! I am responsible and respectful of my clients' home environment and preferences. I prioritize the needs, comfort, and wellbeing of all dogs I look after to ensure they are safe, healthy, and happy!

“Jessica truly is a 10/10! She is reliable, communicative, responsible, and she showered my dogs and cats with endless love during her stay. Jessica sent me updates and photos each day! It was extremely comforting to know that my fur babies were in good hands while I was away! She also kept everything very clean for the animals and made my house extra tidy for my return (even took out the garbage she used, which was not necessary …but it highlights the attention to detail and care she has). I will be using her for future bookings and would happily refer her to my friends and family! I highly recommend!”

“Tara did a great job house and dog sitting with our senior chihuahua Dudley. She sent pictures and updated us during the day and always responded to messages promptly. We will definitely have Tara house/dog sit for us again.”

About: My name is Angels. I'm a reliable, responsible and caring pet sitter. I'm a full time Middle School paraprofessional, taking care of pets is my second favorite thing to do. I love animals. I've volunteered for many nonprofit organizations that rescue dogs. I was trained by the humane society to walk, to train and to care for dogs. I will love your dogs and care for them as if they were my own dogs. I will make sure to take pictures and to keep them safe while they are under my care. I am looking forward to working with you and your pet(s) . Have a wonderful and blessed rest of your day! Stay safe and sound! Thank you for your consideration!! Best Regards, Angels. It is summertime, so I am more flexible with my scheduling, meaning I have more time to walk during the day as opposed to only after work during the school year. While caring for them at your home, I will make sure to walk, feed, bathe, and brush your furry loved one as if they were my own.
“Amanda was the best!!!!! She was very sweet with the boys. I loved that she came to meet them and to see what exactly I expected for them. She went above and beyond what I asked for. She was sweet enough to take them for walks and to the park and to actually play with them!!!!! She sent me pictures daily and let me know when she was heading to my house and when she was leaving so I can set my alarm. I will definitely be contacting Amanda in the future. Definitely satisfied!!”

“This was the second time I had Glenn at my house and I plan on having him every time I need him if he agrees. Glenn is excellent with my dogs and this last time he had to give one of them meds for me. He keeps me informed and always sends pictures. I am very pleased with Glenn.”

About: I have had several dogs over the years, SharPei, Bouvier des Flandres, Rescue, Boxer, Basset Hound and Polish Lowland Sheepdog. Loved them all! Will not name a favorite. I only work on Wednesdays. Take Pilates class on Tuesdays and Fridays but with advance notice can be available anytime. I also walk a lot. I live in a gated community where a lot of people have dogs. I am a single female and happy to take the dog out at anytime.
About: I’ve taken care of big dogs, small dogs, and cats. I have also helped with giving them their medication. I am able to be there all day and night with them and love going for walks. I also like to keep the owner updated everyday on the phone. I currently work remote and I am able to stay all day and night. I make my own schedule and can be free to play with the animals whenever as well as take them for a walk whenever. Everyone that I dog sit or cat sit for likes it when I stay over and I make sure to go a day before to meet the pets and have the owner walk me through what an average day looks like so that I imitate it and keep the same schedule. While I’m there I like to keep the house clean.
About: I have had a pet of some type my entire life, and I love to take care of animals. I work from home and have 2 willing teenagers at home who would love another pet but will settle on helping care for yours. I'm current home all day and will take your dog for walks and play. I have a ton of flexibility to walk dogs, take care of pets and play. Someone in our family is always home. We have a family dog at home that gets along well with others. Your pet will be treated the same as ours with fun play time, walks, exercise and a ton of attention.
About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs my whole life. Back in Colombia, I worked at a foundation for 4 years where I cared for around 40 dogs every day. During COVID, I rescued several sweet pups and made them part of my family. Now that I’m living in the United States, I’ve been lucky to spend the past 3 years caring for dogs—going on fun walks, feeding, providing overnight care when needed, and of course, giving them all the love and attention they deserve. I’m a photographer and usually work on weekends, which means I have plenty of free time during the week to dedicate to caring for your furry loved one. I truly enjoy spending my days walking, playing, and giving pets all the love and attention they deserve. Having a flexible schedule allows me to be there for your pup whenever you need, whether it’s for daily walks, feeding, or simply keeping them company. When caring for pets, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and trust. I always make sure your furry friend feels secure and loved, whether in my home or yours. In your home, I follow your routines closely—feeding on schedule, keeping fresh water available, and maintaining the environment your pet is used to. I’m careful with doors, gates, and surroundings to ensure your pet is always safe. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm and cozy space where they can feel at ease. I keep the environment clean, secure, and full of love, with plenty of playtime, walks, and snuggles depending on their needs.
About: I grew up on a farm. I've worked with animals all my life as part of my family and experiences through FFA. I walk my own dog and help neighbors with their loved ones in our neighborhood. I currently work part time so I have availability to help those who have less time. I feel this is a great way to lift my own spirits, stay active and help others/animals. I have a dog and 2 cats. I go on nightly walks with my fur baby and all the neighbors with their dogs. It's great social time for us and the doggos.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hobe Sound walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hobe Sound maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hobe Sound choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
