“Megan is a kind considerate care giver. Highly articulate and professional. She was able to become quick friends with our very shy cat and truth be told our cat was probably a bit sad when we returned and Megan didn’t visit. I highly recommend and trust Megan.”

“Jessica took great care of Roxy while we were away. She was loving and caring. Jessica sent photos everyday and spent time doing Roxys 2 favorite things. Treats and brushes. I will be booking Jessica next time we go out of town!”

About: I have been caring for animals my whole life, between walking our family dog to neighbors and house sitting for cats and dogs. I have about 8 years in veterinary medicine working as a veterinary technician/ assistant. I love all breeds and seeing all different personalities. I have one dog of my own who is a small Chihuahua, Sophie and I did have a bangle cat named Maui. I am currently working part time in animal clinic Wednesdays - Friday. I will be able to take care of pets Saturday's- Tuesdays. If a pet parent is needed with help on the days I work, I will be able to try and make accommodations as I know how hard it can be to find someone willing and able to care for their fur baby. I have a fenced in yard, I am currently renting and need to remove boarding at the moment but am willing to stay at a pet parents house if needed
“Cathy was great. My kitty was in good hands and received excellent care. She sent me lots of photos & detailed reports for each check in visit. I could see clearly that Molly was happy & well cared for.”

“Gemar was fantastic. Communication was quick and clear, and followed all instructions perfectly. Both of my dogs were well-fed, cared for, and genuinely happy when I got home. Gemar handled everything smoothly and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. Highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I have fostered animals quite a few times throughout highschool and loved all of them. I love to spend time with new pets and figure out what kinda quirks they have, it’s the funniest thing. I am experienced working with larger dog breeds all the way down to cats. I look forward to hearing from you and looking after your fur child as my own! Thank you in advance! I have a pretty open schedule right now, I have just moved back to Palm Beach Gardens after living in Jacksonville for 2 years working on school and college while living there. I am very flexible to any rules you may have set for your pets and can adjust so that you do not have to worry about you furry friend in my care.

About: I have had several dogs over the years, SharPei, Bouvier des Flandres, Rescue, Boxer, Basset Hound and Polish Lowland Sheepdog. Loved them all! Will not name a favorite. I only work on Wednesdays. Take Pilates class on Tuesdays and Fridays but with advance notice can be available anytime. I also walk a lot. I live in a gated community where a lot of people have dogs. I am a single female and happy to take the dog out at anytime.
“Ireland was great with my very shy cats, she gained their trust during her visits - and theres very few people who my one rescue will willingly approach. It was so nice to know they are in good hands while we are gone.”

About: Hi! I’m Amanda, a local twin mom living in Hobe Sound and a lifelong animal lover. I know how hard it is to leave your pets behind when you’re traveling or working long hours. As the proud owner of two huskies and multiple rescue pets over the years, I understand that pets aren’t “just animals” they’re family. I have experience with energetic breeds, senior pets, medication routines, feeding schedules, and all the little quirks that make every pet unique. As a mom of twins, organization, communication, and multitasking are basically my superpowers. You can expect reliable care, frequent updates, photos, and lots of love while you’re away. Whether your pet wants a long walk, a game of fetch, belly rubs, or simply a calm companion, I’m happy to provide care tailored to their needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! As a stay at home mother and wife with kids in school, my days are open and free to care for your furry family members! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have two friendly huskies of my own and understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and house rules to ensure consistency while you’re away. I can crate your pet if requested and will always provide plenty of love, attention, exercise, and supervision. I also send regular photo updates so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve always taken care of animals. My responsibility growing up was caring for my 8+ horses, cows, pigs, poultry, sheep, dogs and cats. I’m very familiar with animal behavior and training. I’ve also had quite a bit of experience shadowing a veterinarian. 3 of my best friends are in veterinary school and I have 2 other friends who are currently working as veterinarians. My availability is quite good. I’m currently in medical school studying from home for my step one exam. Right now I am at home almost 24/7. My home is spacious and very dog friendly. My home has a completely fenced back yard (6ft wood panels) with room for multiple dogs to run and play.
“We were so blessed to have found Irene! I wish we would have known about rover a long time ago! She did amazing with our little guy! We weren’t worried about him one time! We would highly recommend her!”
“Robert was great with Loki! Loki can have a lot of energy when he meets new people, he calms down after a few visits. It was just a drop-in visit, but Robert took the time and did wonderful with him.”

About: I’ve cared for my own cats for the past 9 years and genuinely love being around animals, especially cats. I’m calm, dependable, attentive to routines, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away! I currently am not in the traditional job market, so I can be there for your fur babies with 110% of my attention and energy! Animals are better than humans at detecting energies, and I believe that is so important. Building a true, genuine connection with your pets is truly very important, and providing a safe, comfortable environment is all that I want for your babies.
“Audrey did a superior job taking care of our 2 dogs. Even with the drastic difference in age of the dogs, 9 weeks and 5 years, Audrey was not deterred. The pups were well taken care of and anticipated Audrey's visits. Audrey even helped us out with some basic training with them both. We are happy that we found Audrey and will be using her again and again.”

About: I ALSO OFFER PICKUP & DROP OFF SERVICES! Put it in as a walk and I will adjust prices accordingly:) I’ve been caring for dogs on and off for a few years now, and I absolutely love it! I enjoy playing, cuddling, and going on walks with them — I love all dogs, big or small. I already like to walk on my own, so having a furry friend by my side makes it even better! I’m responsible, efficient, and will keep your home clean and well-kept while you’re away. I can also bathe your dog if needed and help with medications. Your pup will be cared for just like my own! 🐾💛 I like to have a day in advance notice to see how I can fit coming to help out in my schedule. Fortunately I am free a lot right now due to health issues, so I will most likely will be able to make anything you are needing work :) I have my own dog & she’s been with us for 8 years! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
