“Jessica anticipates Puka’s every need, so he doesn’t miss a beat when we are away. He has a new best friend, and we never worry when she is caring for him! Jessica sends the most thorough notes and BEST photos after every visit!”

“Jennifer is amazing! She was so attentive with our fur-babies while we were out of town. I felt so much better knowing that they were with someone who is so responsible, caring and communicative while we were gone. Super recommend her if you’re looking for a pet sitter. I will definitely be asking her to sit for us when we leave in the future.”

About: 20+ years of pet care experience. Growing up we had 4 dogs , 6 cats and a whole array of other critters. When it comes to pet sitting, drop by visits or just a quick walk, I’m your guy! I have a full time job that I work Tuesday-Friday 8-6. Im currently available Mondays, Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays. Holidays vary since I may be out of town I have two cats myself so ensuring a safe, clean environment is number 1 on my list. If there’s no mess or hazard, I’d ensure all essentials are either available or given at time specified. For example feeding and or medication time, along with kibble/ water restock. If there’s a list, follow the list lol
“Lisa was incredible, and went way beyond to ensure our pet was not lonely by making extra daily visits. She texted us every day and sent photos of our furry dog and since we were out of the country, I felt so at ease that our pet was well cared for during our trip away from home.”

About: hello! i have been taking care of dogs and cats for a little over 2 years now (professionally) but have always grown up around fury friends my entire life! My past experience was a lot from my old home in PA, but about a year ago I expanded my experience to some families in Florida! I mostly see dogs but have cared for all types of animals! (even ferrets!!) I am available most days as long as I have a couple days notice of any type of service. I have cared for all ages in the past, from puppies to the elderly! I hope to get to meet ur furry companion soon! I have open availability most of my day, the only time slot I wont be able to visit is from 9:30-1:30 because of highschool. Other than that my full attention is on your furry friend! I always keep an eye on whatever pets I am watching no matter what to make sure they are safe. I care for other animals as if they were my own.

“Lily and Lucy were well taken care of by Kelsey and I will definitely reach out to her again when we need care for our babies. They took well to her and they are very picky. We were given pictures on each visit and she even brought in a package that I wasn't expecting when she saw it on the front porch! It's so nice to know that we have someone we can trust for the future.”

“Okay so I’m now jealous of my dog-sitter! Mabel has never looked happier than when she is with Lauren. I don’t what it is but she has a secret formula to make my dog happy so I am so relieved that I don’t have to worry about her when I’m away. Thank you Lauren you are the best!!”

About: My love for animals started before I can even remember and has been a constant throughout my entire life. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including three Labs, a Beagle, English Springer Spaniel, two cats (both adopted), and two Mini Dachshunds all with their own personalities and temperaments whom brought years of memories. When I was a 20-year-old student at Florida State University, I brought home my own Mini Doxie, Lil Man Lynyrd Skynyrd, who became my absolute best friend for 16.5 wonderful years before peacefully crossing over the Rainbow Bridge to reunite with our other beloved family members—Sasha, Kona, Captain, Charlie, Bob Marley, Oakley, Lucy, and Mighty Jack Jackson. Today, I also help care for my parents' 16-year-old Mini Dachshund, Camo, who has been fully blind since birth (PRA), and was Lynyrd's very best buddy. Over the years, I've been fortunate to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, including those with special needs such as blindness, diabetes, missing limbs, cataracts, and allergies. My special-needs and four (and three) legged friends have always found a special place in my heart. I truly believe that every animal has their own story, personality, and unique needs. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, and understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, extra snuggles, medication, or simply a calm and loving companion, I will care for them as if they were one of my own. To me, pets aren't just animals—they're family. ❤️🐾 I work in sales and have the flexibility for drop in’s and also able to accept dogs at my home as well. My Doxie crossed over the rainbow bridge recently, and I miss having furry friends in my home. I cared for my dogs in different ways based on their medical needs, personalities ect… I live in a two story townhome now, and do not currently have any pets, but do have two small young children. Dogs must be family oriented or overnights.
“Rachel dropped in on my two cats a couple times while I was away. I have one cat who is a little skittish and shy, but my other cat is so happy to just see a human and I’m so glad she was there to give him some love and attention while I was gone. Thank you so much Rachel!!”

“Another great visit from Lauren with our two dogs. Went above and beyond: I asked her to let the dogs out to go to the bathroom at a particular time. She did that but also took them for a walk. Didn’t expect that, but so appreciated that she took the time to give them some exercise.”
About: I’ve always loved animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or following special care instructions, I’ll make sure your pet is happy, safe, and well looked after. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to do morning, afternoon, or evening visits depending on what’s needed. I’m able to plan my day around pet care responsibilities and make sure each pet gets consistent attention, feeding, playtime, and check-ins on time. I’m also available on most weekends. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I stick to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and relaxed. I make sure they’re fed, have fresh water, get playtime or walks, and any special instructions are followed. I take my time getting to know each pet and respect their space. I also keep things secure when coming and going so you can feel confident everything is taken care of.
“Crystal did a great job checking in on the cats while we were out of town. She even got my scaredy-cat to enjoy some petting. Gave me piece of mind knowing the cats were well taken care of. Even sent us videos.”

About: I’ve always loved animals since I was young, watching all the pets in my neighborhood starting at 10 years old. I have over 100 volunteer hours at vet rescue clinic. I have 1 senior dog that I understand the care that comes along with that and the need of wanting to leave them in good hands when you aren’t home. I also have another younger high energy dog that comes with the need of many walks, paddleboard rides, and playtime to get all their energy out. Big dogs are not a problem as also I grew up with a mastiff. I am currently a university student, so I have plenty of free time when I am not in class. Most of my free time is in the afternoon or weekends. Just message me what works best for you and I am sure I will have time to accommodate that. When caring for your animals at your home I will treat them as they are my own pets. I want to be sure to match their routine so they will be comfortable at all times. Fresh water will always be available, along with tons of love and affection. I will be sure to keep you update as well with photos and text messages so you know your dog is happy while you are not there. My goal is to provide not just basic care, but exceptional care making sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved until you return home.
“All we can say is wow! Renzi went above and beyond taking care of our full house of animals (4 dogs and 2 cats) she made us feel very comfortable and treated them like they were her own. She was in constant contact and sent several pictures and videos at every visit which made them feel not so far away! She also was always on time with the visitation times we agreed on and took time to play with our animals and not just let them out and feed them. We were blessed to find Renzi and will never hesitate to ask for her services again.”

I communicate regularly with pet parents and provide updates and photos so they can feel confident that their pet and home are in good hands.

“Lorianne did a great job taking care of our cat, Winnie, while we were away for 5 days. Winnie can be anxious, but Lorianne was patient with Winnie. By day 2, Winnie was rubbing on her. Lorianne sent daily pictures and updates. Highly recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
