About: My love for animals started before I can even remember and has been a constant throughout my entire life. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including three Labs, a Beagle, English Springer Spaniel, two cats (both adopted), and two Mini Dachshunds all with their own personalities and temperaments whom brought years of memories. When I was a 20-year-old student at Florida State University, I brought home my own Mini Doxie, Lil Man Lynyrd Skynyrd, who became my absolute best friend for 16.5 wonderful years before peacefully crossing over the Rainbow Bridge to reunite with our other beloved family members—Sasha, Kona, Captain, Charlie, Bob Marley, Oakley, Lucy, and Mighty Jack Jackson. Today, I also help care for my parents' 16-year-old Mini Dachshund, Camo, who has been fully blind since birth (PRA), and was Lynyrd's very best buddy. Over the years, I've been fortunate to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, including those with special needs such as blindness, diabetes, missing limbs, cataracts, and allergies. My special-needs and four (and three) legged friends have always found a special place in my heart. I truly believe that every animal has their own story, personality, and unique needs. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, and understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. About: Hello! We moved to FL two years ago and I took a break from pet-sitting but am excited to get back to doing what I love. My love for animals started as a child growing up with dogs, cats, birds (and even hermit crabs :) My husband and I rescued a hound/lab mix from the Charleston Animal Society a few years ago and spoil him rotten. We are fortunate to both work from home and love taking walks with Tyler (our pup) several times a day. Our neighbors joke he gets the most walks of any dog on the block! Your pet will be in good hands with me as I am also a Reiki master and massage therapist and often find pets love energy work and gentle massage for relieving anxiety or achy joints. I am experienced in dealing with temperamental dogs (my own little guy has his issues as a stray) and also with administering medications and special needs dogs. I would love to meet you and your pet(s)! Note on Housesitting: My price includes all pet care (morning/evening routines, walks, etc.) in addition to staying over with your pet and taking care of your home. Rest assured, your fur baby will have all needs met and your home will be cleaner than you left it! : ) I currently work part-time from home and have plenty of free time for walks and cuddles. I love taking breaks to stretch my legs and play. If we are boarding your dog, I have a fenced in backyard that pups love romping around in. Pets are welcome on our beds and couches and get treats a couple times a day.

I have worked at a doggy daycare center for 3 years, so I am capable of handling all dogs: big or small, high energy, timid hiders, counter surfers, etc. My friends and family can attest that dogs have a natural affinity to me because I can recognize and respect each individual animal's boundaries. At my place of work, I have been especially successful caring for more timid and choosy dogs, taking the time to slowly form a bond and trust, so much so that I am the only one at my work allowed to handle certain dogs.
