Macy is the absolute best!! From the very first time I contacted her, she responded immediately and arranged a meet and greet. This young lady has such a calming demeanor, patience and genuine love for animals. Our dog Marley is 1 year old and was a little shy at first. This was no challenge for Macy, she had such a calm approach with Marley who soon warmed up to her. I wouldn't trust my dog at this point with nobody else. I am so happy we chose Macy because with there being so many dog walkers to choose from, you just never know! I highly recommend her because she is such a joy. Very prompt for Marley's walks, communication, and just a genuine nice person who goes above and beyond to give you superior service!! Keep up the good work Macy and for taking care of our Marley!! It doesn't get any better than you🙂

Greg is seriously the best dog walker I could ask for. He’s super flexible and always helps me out when my schedule changes last minute. My 100 lb lab, Copper, LOVES him and is always worn out after their walks. Greg makes sure Copper has water and that he’s safely secured in the house before leaving, which I really appreciate while I’m at work. I’ll definitely be using him for all future walks. Thanks so much, Greg!

About: My love for animals started before I can even remember and has been a constant throughout my entire life. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including three Labs, a Beagle, English Springer Spaniel, two cats (both adopted), and two Mini Dachshunds all with their own personalities and temperaments whom brought years of memories. When I was a 20-year-old student at Florida State University, I brought home my own Mini Doxie, Lil Man Lynyrd Skynyrd, who became my absolute best friend for 16.5 wonderful years before peacefully crossing over the Rainbow Bridge to reunite with our other beloved family members—Sasha, Kona, Captain, Charlie, Bob Marley, Oakley, Lucy, and Mighty Jack Jackson. Today, I also help care for my parents' 16-year-old Mini Dachshund, Camo, who has been fully blind since birth (PRA), and was Lynyrd's very best buddy. Over the years, I've been fortunate to care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, including those with special needs such as blindness, diabetes, missing limbs, cataracts, and allergies. My special-needs and four (and three) legged friends have always found a special place in my heart. I truly believe that every animal has their own story, personality, and unique needs. I am patient, compassionate, attentive, and understand the trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else's care. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, extra snuggles, medication, or simply a calm and loving companion, I will care for them as if they were one of my own. To me, pets aren't just animals—they're family. ❤️🐾 I work in sales and have the flexibility for drop in’s and also able to accept dogs at my home as well. My Doxie crossed over the rainbow bridge recently, and I miss having furry friends in my home. I cared for my dogs in different ways based on their medical needs, personalities ect… I live in a two story townhome now, and do not currently have any pets, but do have two small young children. Dogs must be family oriented or overnights.

About: I offer more than just a quick drop in; I provide dedicated attentive, companionship tailored to your pet’s unique routine and personality. While, many sitters view, pet care as a simple task, I treat your home and your animals with the respect and high-level of responsibility they deserve. With a sharp eye for health and safety, reliable communication, and a genuine love for what I do, I ensure your pet stays happy healthy and stress-free — giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. For me, pet care isn’t a side gig packed into the gaps of a chaotic day; it’s a deliberate, structural part of my daily and weekly routine. I intentionally manage my schedule so that I am never rushed, ensuring I always arrive on time and have the dedicated energy your pet deserves. Because my routine is built around consistency, I am able to offer reliable predictable visit windows that keep your pets on their preferred feeding, exercise, and potty schedules. This structure allows me to give your animal my undivided attention during our time together, making their well-being my top priority. I believe that the best pet care mimics a pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress and keep them thriving. I will treat your space with the upmost respect, privacy and professionalism. My focus is on maintaining your pets familiar environment, keeping them safe in their own territory, and strictly following their established feeding, exercise, and medical schedules.

About: Hello! We moved to FL two years ago and I took a break from pet-sitting but am excited to get back to doing what I love. My love for animals started as a child growing up with dogs, cats, birds (and even hermit crabs :) My husband and I rescued a hound/lab mix from the Charleston Animal Society a few years ago and spoil him rotten. We are fortunate to both work from home and love taking walks with Tyler (our pup) several times a day. Our neighbors joke he gets the most walks of any dog on the block! Your pet will be in good hands with me as I am also a Reiki master and massage therapist and often find pets love energy work and gentle massage for relieving anxiety or achy joints. I am experienced in dealing with temperamental dogs (my own little guy has his issues as a stray) and also with administering medications and special needs dogs. I would love to meet you and your pet(s)! Note on Housesitting: My price includes all pet care (morning/evening routines, walks, etc.) in addition to staying over with your pet and taking care of your home. Rest assured, your fur baby will have all needs met and your home will be cleaner than you left it! : ) I currently work part-time from home and have plenty of free time for walks and cuddles. I love taking breaks to stretch my legs and play. If we are boarding your dog, I have a fenced in backyard that pups love romping around in. Pets are welcome on our beds and couches and get treats a couple times a day.

About: Walking, playing, nails trims, administering medications and follow dietary needs. I can do all that while giving your babies love and attention. Anything else, feel free to ask or bring it to my attention. I work part-time hours, so I have time to come tend to your furry friends before work and right after. Willing to do overnights as well. In the clients home I follow any specific rules, be it putting pets in a crate over night or putting them in their own beds. I can separate pets during feedings, administer medications, and more.

About: I have over 15 years of hands on experience caring for dogs, including my own as well as dogs for friends, family, and clients. I have primarily worked with small to medium sized dogs, but I also have experience caring for larger breeds. I have cared for dogs of all ages, from young puppies to senior dogs, including my own dog who lived to be 17. I am especially comfortable caring for senior dogs. I have experience administering medications as needed, and I understand how important patience, consistency, and routine are for older dogs. I am very reliable when it comes to following schedules for meals, walks, medications, and daily care. Communication is very important to me, and I know how reassuring updates can be for pet parents. I am happy to send regular messages and photos during visits or stays if you would like, so you can feel confident and at ease while you are away. Whether I am house sitting, stopping by for drop in visits, or taking dogs on walks, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether that means playing, walking, or simply providing companionship. I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. Please see my cat care bio for more information about my experience caring for cats as well. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I am currently available full-time, which allows me to be flexible with scheduling and give pets the time and attention they deserve. I am able to plan my days around feedings, walks, drop-in visits, and companionship, and I prioritize being present and attentive during each visit or stay. I have experience managing pet care alongside remote work, so I am comfortable staying in the home and maintaining routines while ensuring pets are never left without proper care or attention. My schedule allows me to be reliable, responsive, and consistent, whether a pet needs regular walks, multiple daily visits, or overnight care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on safety, consistency, and respect for both the pet and the space. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, and any household guidelines. I make sure pets are always secure during walks and visits and keep doors, gates, and leashes properly checked. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, comfort level, and any special needs, especially for senior pets. I maintain a calm and familiar environment by sticking to their usual routine and providing companionship, playtime, and attention at their pace. I also treat my client’s home with care and respect. I keep the space clean and tidy, handle litter boxes and feeding areas responsibly, and make sure everything is left as it was found. I communicate regularly with pet parents and provide updates and photos so they can feel confident that their pet and home are in good hands.

About: Hello! I have worked at a doggy daycare center for 3 years, so I am capable of handling all dogs: big or small, high energy, timid hiders, counter surfers, etc. My friends and family can attest that dogs have a natural affinity to me because I can recognize and respect each individual animal's boundaries. At my place of work, I have been especially successful caring for more timid and choosy dogs, taking the time to slowly form a bond and trust, so much so that I am the only one at my work allowed to handle certain dogs. Overall, I am just a big dog lover looking to help out other dog lovers, I can't wait to meet your pup! My availability is wide open, I am free 24/7 any day of the week! I am currently living at home before I go to grad school so I can spend as much time with your pup as you would like. The most important part of pet-sitting is following owner instructions and consulting with the owner on any questions. I will care for pets in the same way the owners care for their pets while they’re gone.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
