“My girls had such a good time! There’s so much enrichment for them, and Poppy found out that one of her BFFs started coming here as well ♥️. Juli provided many pictures and videos and really cute commentary. I felt like Buttercup and Poppy were immediately part of the pack. I highly recommend!”

“Billie has my vote. She took my 2 dogs at 5:45 am and provided a safe enjoyable daycare experience for Tova and Sadie. Their tails were wagging in all the pictures and videos. Thanks Billie !!”

“Talk about a person that will go above and beyond. I ran through some hiccups in my plan and Gina was so caring, flexible and understanding. She sent me many pictures of my boy! Since it was Christmas, I was already upset about leaving him but I know that he was taken care of and loved unconditionally!! I would recommend Gina for anything! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting my baby be a part of your holiday and showing him so much love ❤️”

“Heidi was amazing! She was able to watch my dog Ozzy last minute! I was even able to arrange a pick up and drop off with her. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day and went beyond dog sitting, she played ball with him, got all his energy out and even had a training session with him!”

“Lisa was an absolute dream of a sitter. She took my fur baby last minute and treated him like gold. He went for walks, got to roam a fenced in yard and even went for a car ride! Lisa sent me pictures and communicated with me throughout his visit. She is definitely now my go to for whenever I need someone I trust to watch my boy. Could not recommend her more highly!!”

About: Hello, I am Chris, and I am the loving dog mama to three sweet fur babies of my own who love other doggies to play with. I primarily work from a home office so I can provide care with a high level of supervision. Looking to establish a long-term relationship with your pup to ease the sadness when you take a trip, and treat him/her like a member of my own family. Boarding in my home with fenced yard, friendly/patient dogs, and lots of snuggles. *** Please note: NO new boarding/daycare requests will be approved without BOTH speaking to me on the phone first AND arranging a meet-and-greet with your dog(s). This for the safety of myself and my pets, as well as yours. *** I mostly work from home so it's perfect for being able to spend as much time as possible with the dogs. Much outside play time is offered (weather/heat permitting) with ample cool water, a fan, hose play time, and shade. Just giving plenty of love, attention, comfort, and maintaining your pup's feeding/medication/other schedules. They are not left unattended outside. If I have to leave them at home for a couple hours, they may be crated, depending on your pup's level of comfort with my environment.

“Annie was an amazing help on short notice and took great care of Oakley. I had just recently adopted him and had some anxiety about leaving him for the first time, but she gave him tons of attention and he loved his stay with her!”

About: What sets me apart is that I've been caring for animals my entire life. I've owned four dogs, three cats, a bird, and a rabbit, giving me experience with a wide variety of pets and personalities. As a child, I even started a dog-walking business in my neighborhood at just 8 years old! Later, I fostered puppies for It's The Pits Rescue in San Diego, gaining experience with young dogs and helping them thrive in a loving environment. Because I work from home and am home most of the day, your pet won't be left alone for long periods. I have a large fenced yard where dogs can safely run, play fetch or frisbee, and get plenty of exercise. Inside, they'll receive lots of attention, affection, and snuggles. I've also pet sat for neighbors and friends over the years and can provide references. I understand that every pet is unique, and I will care for yours as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and am home most of the day. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. I rarely leave for extended periods, so pets in my care receive lots of attention and supervision rather than being left alone for hours. Whether your pet enjoys playing in the yard, going for walks, or simply relaxing with company, I can easily incorporate their needs into my schedule and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. In my home, pets are treated like family and are never left outside unattended. I have a large, securely fenced yard for supervised playtime, exercise, and potty breaks. Inside, pets have a comfortable, clean environment where they can relax and receive plenty of attention and affection. I follow each pet owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special needs. I understand that every pet is different, and I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide lots of supervision, love, and updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.

“Left my youngest child Louis (a shih tzu poodle mix) with Merma at her home for 3 hours to have lunch with a friend in town. Loved that she sent 3 photos of my doggie within that short period of time, and that he got along with her pup Broccoli. One of the photos was of Louis on a couch . . ! Tells me her home is as pet friendly as mine (where the dog is not off-limits to the furniture, lol).”

“We are brand new to ROVER.com We now have used Amy twice and had a very positive experience!!!! When we took our Murphy today he cried to get into her home.... He was super excited to be there!!!! “My dog loved hanging out with Renee. He got lots of exercise, which he needs because he isn’t even 2 and has LOTS of energy. She also sent me a picture with updates on how he was since it was his first time staying with her. He will be staying with her again for sure!”

Heidi was amazing! She was able to watch my dog Ozzy last minute! I was even able to arrange a pick up and drop off with her. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day and went beyond dog sitting, she played ball with him, got all his energy out and even had a training session with him!

Nellie has separation anxiety which she completely overcame in Dylan’s care. I suspect Nellie had one of the best days of her life with Dylan and his dog! She was treated like his beloved family pet, and enjoyed runs in the dog park and sleeping on his couch. She came home happy and tired. Nellie can’t wait to return and we are thrilled to have new found freedom to explore the non dog friendly areas of Palm City and Stuart knowing she is happy and well care for!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
