About: hello! i have been taking care of dogs and cats for a little over 2 years now (professionally) but have always grown up around fury friends my entire life! My past experience was a lot from my old home in PA, but about a year ago I expanded my experience to some families in Florida! I mostly see dogs but have cared for all types of animals! (even ferrets!!) I am available most days as long as I have a couple days notice of any type of service. I have cared for all ages in the past, from puppies to the elderly! I hope to get to meet ur furry companion soon! I have open availability most of my day, the only time slot I wont be able to visit is from 9:30-1:30 because of highschool. Other than that my full attention is on your furry friend! I always keep an eye on whatever pets I am watching no matter what to make sure they are safe. I care for other animals as if they were my own.
“Tara did a great job house and dog sitting with our senior chihuahua Dudley. She sent pictures and updated us during the day and always responded to messages promptly. We will definitely have Tara house/dog sit for us again.”

“Lori is wonderful with our spoiled Bailey. We never have to worry when we leave him with her. She was at our house over New Year’s and experience a very scared Bailey with lots of fireworks. She handle that situation just like we would have done. Bailey is very happy when he is with her. He hates for us to leave, but is very happy when he sees Lori at the door. We highly recommend her and use her when she is free. Thank you, Lori.”

About: I have had several dogs over the years, SharPei, Bouvier des Flandres, Rescue, Boxer, Basset Hound and Polish Lowland Sheepdog. Loved them all! Will not name a favorite. I only work on Wednesdays. Take Pilates class on Tuesdays and Fridays but with advance notice can be available anytime. I also walk a lot. I live in a gated community where a lot of people have dogs. I am a single female and happy to take the dog out at anytime.
“We left for two weeks over the holidays and we trusted our two pugs to Carmen for the first time. She sent us daily updates, gave them walks and even put up with a random bug infestation that happened to our Christmas tree while we were gone. She cleaned up and the pups were healthy and happy. I look forward to hiring Carmen again and highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs of all sizes, from energetic Poodles to tiny Yorkies, so I’m confident handling pups with all kinds of personalities. I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends for years, trusted to care for their pets like my own. I truly value building trust with both pets and their humans, tuning into their needs, sticking to routines, and giving them lots of love and attention. I know how important it is to feel confident your pet is in good hands, and I don’t take that lightly. I offer reliable and attentive pet care with a schedule that works especially well for evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. During weekdays, I work standard 9–5 hours, so I’m best suited for pets who are comfortable being home alone during that time. I’m available for evening check-ins after 5pm on weekdays, and I’m fully available anytime on weekends. I always prioritize quality time through walks, play, and calm companionship, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine to ensure they feel safe, loved, and at ease. I always aim to make the pets feel safe, loved, and at ease. I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medications, so they feel comfortable and secure. I keep their environment clean, calm, and fun, and I always give plenty of cuddles (if they’re into that!). I also send regular photo updates, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands while you’re away.

I have a full time job that I work Tuesday-Friday 8-6. Im currently available Mondays, Friday evenings, Saturdays & Sundays. Holidays vary since I may be out of town I have two cats myself so ensuring a safe, clean environment is number 1 on my list. If there’s no mess or hazard, I’d ensure all essentials are either available or given at time specified. For example feeding and or medication time, along with kibble/ water restock. If there’s a list, follow the list lol
“Megan is amazing! She sends us photos and updates every day which helps when you're missing your furbabies. She is very dependable and trustworthy. We have a senior dog who takes daily meds and Megan is exceptional with ensuring she gets her meds on schedule. This is our 2nd time using Megan and we'll definitely be using her in the future.”

“Audrey was an absolutely perfect fit for us! She is reliable and trustworthy. Audrey kept us informed each day with pictures and videos of our animals & property. Audrey went above and beyond while caring for our home and farm. She made us feel very at ease while away from home.”

“Jessica truly is a 10/10! She is reliable, communicative, responsible, and she showered my dogs and cats with endless love during her stay. Jessica sent me updates and photos each day! It was extremely comforting to know that my fur babies were in good hands while I was away! She also kept everything very clean for the animals and made my house extra tidy for my return (even took out the garbage she used, which was not necessary …but it highlights the attention to detail and care she has). I will be using her for future bookings and would happily refer her to my friends and family! I highly recommend!”

“OMGOODNESS! Samantha was awesome! She was punctual and communicated well with us while we were away. She stayed over at our house for 8 nights and worked here during the day and there was hardly a trace of her when she left. Except the impression she left on our fur babies! I think they actually miss her!!! We have already booked her for our next vacation and tried another date but she wasn’t available!!! She is that good! Happy pup parents and happy pups!!!!”
“Janine did a great job of caring for Lily and she spoiled her with many walks to her favorite park! She communicated well with me and my house wa in great shape when I came home.”

“Lily was amazing! She came over for a meet and greet and Maverick liked her right away. Then for his overnight she stayed with him until we returned. She did a great job making sure he got his walk and lots of snuggles. He was happy and calm when we returned. We will definitely have Lily stay with him again when we have to leave him for any length of time. Loved Lily!”

I've volunteered for many nonprofit organizations that rescue dogs. I was trained by the humane society to walk, to train and to care for dogs. I currently am not in the traditional job market, so I can be there for your fur babies with 110% of my attention and energy! Animals are better than humans at detecting energies, and I believe that is so important. FAQs for House Sitting - Palm City
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Palm City on Rover is $72.15 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,005 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Palm City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
